A dismal day on the water, but came home with a feed, throwing some lead around and missing animals, turned out the yearling was actually a hind, a trip to specsavers maybe in order... just heard back from the phone repair place and they can fix my phone, so should have the Stewart Island vid rolled out next week! You would know better, but surely you bleed the lingcod? A fish that size and although minimal blood in the half carcass that you showed for a second it had blood over the spine. @12:40 or was the raised bream?
Also charlie hit that deer but in the left front shoulder it was close to the vitals but went through the at a downward angle if you slow it down to 0.25 speed you can see the bullet drop in the air.
The deer also "limped" and if you pause at @17:00 after it jumps but before @17:01 and right after @17:00 you can see a bullet wound that I mention above.
Unfortunately not a fatal shot but good shooting regardless. Adrenaline allowed that deer to keep on going but some wounded animals can recover after worse injury's but most likely that shoulder bone/joint is completely destroyed and that will be a "3 legged deer" or bleed out or death from infection.
