Hip Hop was just DJ's and MC's in clubs/parties for nearly 10 years before people decided to put it on a record and release it (Rappers Delight). So Solid basically did with Garage in the UK what had been done with Hip Hop decades before in America. It was impressive to have the vision to believe it can be done in the UK too at a time when no one was doing it. Definitely not bigger than Wu-Tang though.
