  • From July 7th, 2024. I had already seen this same particular but rather interesting eastbound bnsf led Loram work train extra job on the bnsf Cuba sub earlier today at around 12:30 pm before lunch at Rock Hill Road aka “Raynard Nebbitt Crossing” btw. This unusual looking Loram work extra train is called a ballast cleaner train. No clue what its train symbol is either. No clue why bnsf had to use one of their own engines to pull it as it can easily operate under the power of its own Loram switcher style locomotive LMIX 412. It could also be known as SBC 12 too. After getting back over into Missouri from catching that awesome Canadian Pacific northbound train M259 just north of WR tower up at 25th near granite city Illinois my buddy Scott Nauert told me in a voice text message that it was departing lindenwood yard eastbound on BN 32 track to grand Avenue to head for the bnsf K-line at north market. So I drove right back in from Illinois via the McKinley bridge and Interstate 70 to the 7th street exit then to Cerre street near gratiot and Busch stadium to catch it one final time around 4:30 pm on my way home to eat dinner. Lead unit on it is a single Bnsf pumpkin Gevo #6336. Not quite sure what each of the Loram ballast cleaner trains cars and equipment seen here do when it is in operation but hopefully you can tell me more details about that in the comments section below. Hope you all like this video by me. Feel free to comment on it as always. Enjoy! Jason.
