I wouldn’t say her voice is boring . There wasn’t just a highlighted high note or some like that. She has a lot of great songs also high notes. She just wanted a relaxed and happy song . So that everyone can jam to it and don’t sing those rough notes. Also on tour almost every song on the list is hard to sing and she has to do it every night.
Her voice is soulless. It’s funny bc when she was trying to be like Mariah on her first album that was when she had the most soul. It was believable and you could hear the passion in her singing.
@@valyashegai4802 it’s not an accusation. It’s fact. If you listen to her first album it has mariah written all over it. Don’t try and deny it bc it’s blatantly obvious. Also her high notes aren’t hurtful :)
When she says, "boy I'm tryna meet your mama on a Sunday", we're shown a shot of her real mother at the meeting table in the first scene. Nice reaction btw.
I came from Instagram but now I'm not leaving! This video is awesome, thanks for the laughs 😂😂 Also really liked when it was pointed out how the video didn't match the lyrics in the same way. You guys are awesome 🤘
Hi 👋🏻 Ariana stan here! This comment will be long, but oh well! For other Ariana music videos, you should check out No Tears Left to Cry, God is a Woman, Thank U, Next, 7 Rings, or Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored. If you’re interested in live vocals, you guys should watch God is a Woman at the 2018 VMAs, either No Tears, God is a Woman, or R.E.M from the BBC Live Lounge, God is a Woman from her BBC special, or any song really from the second or third leg of the Sweetener World Tour. Then two really deep songs that she has never performed live, but songs that I love so much are Ghostin and In My Head. Then it’s not her song, but in 2018 she performed The Wizard and I from the musical Wicked for a tv special that is arguably one of my favorite performances from her not only because she sounded incredible, but because it was filmed like two days after she broke off her engagement to Pete. She never even showed up to the final dress rehearsal and many thought she was just going to pull out last minute. But she came and she was good and looked so happy and I was so proud of her! Also I wanted to let you guys know that you should not expect Positions or any song from her upcoming album to sound like a pop song. She is finally coming out with an R&B album, which is the type of music that she loves and has always wanted to make. Then finally those dogs at the end were hers! She actually owns 9 dogs and a pet pig!
On the new album also called positions, there is a lot more versatility. The end track 'pov' is absolutely stunning and she really opens up vocally if you wanted to check that out. This song definitely is crafted for the radio and for frequent playtime
The video has nothing to do with the lyrics on purpose. Music videos usually have a different concept that SOMEHOW ties back to the song differently, not so much in the literal sense anymore like the old days. In this video, the different “positions” are the roles she’s playing as President which is current to U.S. events because of our dumb ass election coming up. Screw Trump. Anyway, hope that give you a little more insight. Also. It’s 3 am and I can’t sleep and stumbled on this TH-cam video from your IG.
The video does have to do with the song.... it’s meant to show a woman (her) have a successful career who also is in a happy relationship and she’s ok with switching positions in her life like she has a lot of different possitions, her career (president in the video), she’s in the kitchen cooking, in the bedroom, etc
An honest reaction, that doesn't completely understand the music/artist like this is sooooo much better than the reactions that just heap praise for views.
i like the honesty 😌 you guys should react to “the wizard and i live performance” i forget where she performed it but she had that green dress and her vocals were really impressive
Nathan, love your IG content and the milestone podcast 💪 See these reaction vids advertised loads on your IG stories and didn’t think they would be for me - however, I was pleasantly surprised! You guys are funny and a breathe of fresh air! Keep up the great content! Congrats on reaching 50k (when you do)
One Last Time, God Is A Woman. Breathin. Would be some good songs to try! Would love to see you guys react to Crying At The Discotechque - Sophie Ellis Bextor Sweet Melody - Little Mix Paralysed - Delta Goodrem
the dangerous woman album is very upbeat and vocally very good. standouts are dangerous woman, into you, touch it. sweetener is an amazing album vocally with the best songs being god is a woman, no tears left to cry, breathin, and if you don’t mind sadder songs, better off. positions is honestly my favourite album but it’s not for everyone. my hair she really goes off vocally and pov has some great belts. positions is the most commercial song on the album and the rest is very r&b and really vibey.
Hey fellas, love watching your videos. I'd be super interested to see your opinion on Rina Sawayama's 'Sawayama' album, especially 'STFU' or 'XS'! Happy new year from a Brit in Dallas TX! Nathan, you're effing pretty btw!
5:00 Female empowerment and female sexuality are not mutually exclusive. In fact, she saying she can do both and switch up these 'positions' whenever she feels like it. I think it's a great song and video with a very important message to her mostly teen girl audience.
Watch ariana’s netflix documentary, the Taylor swift documentary, and the lady Gaga documentary. You’ll gain a huge respect and appreciation for their work ethic and artistry ❤️ they’re so so good!
I appreciate honesty. Obviously I loved it and we will be streaming, but not every song is for everyone. Like the other people are saying, I suggest you check out her other music as well. She has covered a LARGE amount of genres. If Rain On Me w/ Lady Gaga was really your first time hearing her, you're missing a lot. But im subbed! :)
I came from Instagram, I’m Always commenting and suggesting music to you, since you have great taste in music already. Definitely give the band , Johari, a try.
I feel like this song is about how she can take on many things in her life (girlfriend, lover, friend, singer, songwriter etc) i.e. "positions" and still be a boss hence the music video but I also feel like it has a double entendre meaning to it as she would happily switch "positions" in the bedroom or wherever at home for the right man hence "nothin' I wouldn't do . That I won't do, switchin' for you" and she's hoping that that is whom she is with right now hence "heaven sent you to me, I'm just hoping I don't re-peat history" is this man she would happily be doing it for... I do agree it doesn't really show off her vocal range but I feel like its suits what she's singing about and that it suits the melody of the song. I feel like her next song 34+35 follows nicely off of this because it's taking this entendre from this song and talking about sixty-nining.. overall I think your reactions were valid and solid. looking forward to your next one (:
This new album is going to be primarily R&B, so I feel the same way about it, the way you felt about this single lmao but if you want more songs with her VOCALS I say check out God is a woman, everytime, no tears left to cry, or anything from the dangerous woman album
I think the music video matches the lyrics really well :) she's switching positions for this guy, she can be a woman in power at the white house but she can also be a housewife and cook for him but then also in the bedroom :)
please react to ALL of her albums which are -Yours Truly (2013) -My Everything (2014) -Dangerous Woman (2016) -Sweetener (2018) -thank u, next (2019) -Positions (2020)
The song did relate to the video maybe read the lyrics lol... in the video she’s the President so a super important/time consuming career, and she makes time for all the other positions in her life cooking, her significant other, etc
This newest album is all very breathy and low key I think it’s because that’s what’s in right now in pop (Billie eilish inspired). Not my fave album of hers.
I quite liked it... I didn't think it was woman empowerment rlly... shelyrically and visually... talking about switching positions... it went from boss lady to... a woman cooking and becoming more submissive for her man ( That is how the theme of it, came off to me )... what I'm describing may have not been her intentions but that what I felt from it...kind of the complete opposite of what the guy on the left took from it.... I honestly just felt it was suppose to be smooth sensual song surrounding the literally switching of "positions" xD... It's def not a song you go to, to actual listen to her vocal range ( as one of the greatest vocalist of our generation )
you should definitely react to God is a woman, no tears left to cry, imagine on jimmy fallon, dangerous woman a cappella, natural woman on jimmy fallon!!!! I think you would like it a lot more
