Mike gets a gentle dragon fly and Sandra gets an agressive bee! I would have been trying to get the heck away from it too!! Looks like a beautiful day...blue skies and puffy clouds in your secret location. 🙂
When I was a teenager in the 70’s, my sister was a avid camper. She would always invite me to go along for the weekends when she went and I always declined. It was the 70’s and disco was the thing. I went to the clubs. I can’t tell you how much I now regret not even going once just to see what it was like. Disco is long gone and I bet I’d still try to go camp somewhere. So now I sit in my yard and listen to the crickets and enjoy what I have. I love your channel and I’m so happy I found it.
Hi Elizabeth. We're really happy that you enjoy the channel. Hope our vids can help capture the feeling of being out in the wilderness. I don't know if they have it available where you live but some national parks offer novelty camping in yurts or tarp style cottages. Might be worth checking out to get a comfortable nights stay while being in the woods. 🙋♂️🙋♀️
What a great trip you had in there! Two of my favorite people in one of my favorite places. You are blessed to have each other and we are blessed to have you sharing your experiences. Great photography, great editing! You have captured the essence of canoe tripping. I enjoyed every minute of the video!
Thank You Two KId's . This Old Boy That Can't Get Out Anymore . Sure Enjoyed Being There With You Two. Hug & Sure I Will Look At This Again :) and waiting for more :) :)
Never knew how someone could paddle on just one side of the canoe and keep it straight. Seeing you twist the handle at the end of the stroke helped me figure it it out. Thank you so much!
Thank you Jan, the paddling stroke is called a J Stroke. There should be information online, I'm sure someone's probably made a TH-cam video explaining it in more detail in case you are interested.
Been watching and loving all this.. Sandra I would have probably jumped out when that bee came into the boat.. LOL!!! so glad you brought us on this journey with you!
Hi Sandra and Mike glad to see your back I already know this video is going to be awesome so I'll just go ahead and click the like button I just started your video enjoy your camping in the woods
Hello Mike and Sandra - That was a beautiful location that you were at. Sorry your fishing plans did not work out, but there is always next time and you will be ready for it. It was not really a jem, it was the entire crown jewels. Just gorgeous beyond belief. Don't blame you at all for keeping it a secret. Thank you for sharing the views. Kind Regards, Randy Wiley in Arizona, USA
Absolutely wonderful trip! As I age I enjoy going to one campsite and exploring a new area from a base camp. I love to paddle but I also love campsite life, just hanging around watching and enjoying all it holds. Thanks for sharing your trip! :) :)
Great video. Reminded of a trip I made with friends in the Algonquin Provincial Park. We were canoeing and portaging for 14 days. Very few people, most days none, lots of wild blueberries, and occasional bears. I kept waiting to hear the distinct call of the loons. Thank you.
Very nice to see you folks get out in the wild again. Gorgeous scenery. I would love to get out like that but my wife's health does not allow for rough travel/camping any more. We managed to get a few weeks camping in our old Dodge campervan at several different provincial parks here in Ontario through the summer. Not quite the same at busy parks. Great video.
at 76 i wish i was there.. but i am with you two . again thank you.! cool kids was Fun :) give that cool lady . a hug from us ..... and we are Outdoorsy :) ..............if i was you kids! i would return there!!!!! hug:) before you to old like me :) but so you know i did enjoy this very much !. :) :) great video ........ and beautiful place ! i was 76 Sep 21. nice to have this video :) Then !!!!:)the next day to look at....... Welcome back my friends, Its always a joy to see you both! I'm not really a canoe type of person. I'm so tents being in them all my muscles hurt after being in one. But I'm a fisherman from hell i could fish my life away!! So Mr. Mike i see you two are some what like me >>>> No bugs, No people. Buddy that is the way i feel about you two lol lol Just you two and ( No other people ) lol lol .....And the bugs that is killing the tree's are ( ash borer beetle ) in Marion Indiana they are killing all the ash tree's P.S. Hey mike I was having alot of trouble with use yellow line on my reel, And that pro bass fisherman told me to change my line to Red line, He was telling me fish can't see the red line.
Lovely spot and I agree with your decision not to reveal the exact location. I especially like your relaxed and laid back style reminding me of trips we took many years ago. I watch a lot of canoeing videos and some are like iron man competitions with more bushwacking or dragging up rapids than canoeing.
Je savait!!! Quand jai vue le portage jetai certain que sertai chez Kens! Mon chum ma rencontre sur la renouse pour y rendre! Great to see quality content. I enjoyed a 3 day trip into those trails.
Beautiful place you went. And oh tour sandwich is called a Thanksgiving sandwich here in Massachusetts. I'm sure they are much better tasting here. Enjoy your videos
Amazing scenery !!! Thanks for taking us along !! Hey Mike ... is that a Pflueger President series reel you’re using ? I’ve got a couple (6925, 6935) and love them !! Looks a lot like yours. I sure hope y’all get to go back to that trout honey hole !!! See y’all on the next one !! Love you guys !!!! Jim
Beyond breathtaking! Canoes and kayaks arent my style, I like actual boats, preferably aluminum with a trolling motor on lakes and shallow rivers... and large fast boats on our biggest rivers. I admire that effort you put into portage... the most Id portage are semi innertubes lol . Its sad when so many people wont cart out what they cart in, no wonder you dont want to share the location. Thanks
Awesome video and happy you did not give the location as I have been going into these lakes for over 25 years now and love that I almost never see anyone.
Hello y'all. My name is Dino. Love your channel. It has inspired my wife to go do bushcraft with me. So thanks for that. However, I had a question. Which one of y'all do the editing?
Hey Dino, Great to hear to you wife will be joining you. You'll both have a lot of fun I'm sure. I (Mike) do the editing for our videos, Sandra does help a lot with the filming.
Why post a video of a place that you want to remain your secret. The people who leave garbage behind and don’t respect nature are far to lazy to go to any remote places that require hiking. I go camping far back in the bush and there’s no garbage because of there is too much work involved in getting there
I've seen garbage left in spots that took concerted effort to get to. In my experience, some individuals don't seem to mind hiking all sorts of items in the woods but the really don't see the need to bring it back out.
What a beautiful place..great video u 2.thanks for sharing..
Thanks Melvin! It was really nice. Can't wait to go again.
I laughed so hard with the camera work when the bee went after Sandra. Nice save, Sandra.
😄 It was a pretty persistent bee.
What a beautiful place thank you for sharing I really enjoy your videos
Thank you very much Elizabeth!

Dry pine limbs are fire starters 101 because of the pitch inside of the wood
