It's ALWAYS a fucking pleasure listening to her! her songs, her instrumentals, her poems, her synths, her clothes, her singing, her violin, etc...she is one of the most talented girl in the world! I like HER...I LOVE HER! SHE'S AWESOME! SO FUCKING GORGEOUS! LOVE HER SO STRONG!!!!!!!
@ZoanthropicParanoia7 The original work is from Bach's Sonata for Violin and Piano/Harpsichord No.4, BWV 1017. "BWV" meaning "work by Bach" and the 1007 is the catalogue number. Bach's 1,007th catalogued work. He wrote a lot. Copying his music out by hand would take you about 20 years. EEK!
@XpoldingToast Maybe you already know this, but towards the end of her song "Juliet" she plays Greensleeves for a short time before going back to the main song :)
Bach - he was a machine. What's amazing how rarely he ripped himself off. BTW, I like your screen name. Does it really mean there are six OTHER Zoanthropic Paranoias? YEEP!
@PurpleMaster958Two Following the perfomance of a famous pianist a fan came up to him and said "Wow I'd give my life to play like that" the pianist replied " I did."
I think Emilie should perform this classical stuff too sometimes, not just Asylum songs I love all of it alike though, I would just love to see her play a traditional classical song on a traditional violin, preferably live
Reading some of the comments here I am amazed how some people can be so stupid. Emilie is great, great musician, artist..far better then most of them out there, would deserve much better recognition...so to you, who badmouth others..just shut up, change the channel and get out of here.
@rainbowheydrich in my opinion Lady GaGa took some inspiration from Emilie Autumn and that's a great thing cuz I love them both! the blood in her perfomances (EA's been the first), the wheelchair, clavichord and stuff like that...
@ghostwhowalks79 hahaha your comment about victorian lady-gaga thingie made me laugh emilie autumn came before lady-what ever. oh and lady gaga WISHES she had the talent of of this so called "clown" ( 0.0 she makes a gorgeous clown!!!)
@Ricamros Me too. The electric violin is awesome, but sometime it's just to much. I dont like her electric violin solos... an ordinary violin solo would have been so much better!
@ghostwhowalks79 No way. Emilie's been around and doing her thing since before Lady Caca appeared. Not only that, but Emilie has more talent in one pinky than Caca has in her whole self. Emilie is sexy and beautiful, and it really shouldn't matter what she dresses like--it's the music we're here to listen to, isn't it? It's a performance, not a fashion show.
@traumatizedollie Wow, I didn't know that she achieved her skills without much formal education. That's very admirable. As for "looking like a clown", I think it's pretty self-evident looking at some of the photos posted here. Maybe it's a costume for her performance, maybe it's her fashion statement, maybe it's her version of Victorian Lady-Gaga thingie. I don't know and I don't really care. She does, however, look like a she-clown to me, that's all.
@traumatizedollie Whatever. She may be intelligent, wise, beautiful and talented like you say. But it doesn't change the fact that she looks like a clown. Perhaps you should spend more time admiring this musician than overly taking offense at a simple comment made out of amusement. And by the way, compared to some of the great violinists out there, this girl doesn't even sound that great.
This interpretation is lacking a lot, I am very disappointed. May be she should put more attention esp. to her bowing technique(!!) than on make up and clownery in her wardrobe... We don't need a female version of David Garrett who is waisting his great talent.
Ralf Kirchhoff You're quite pretentious. She's been playing violin since she was four. While I also like David Garrett, she's every bit as good as him, and also doesn't rely solely on covers to build her career. I have great respect for her as a musician, as she's the reason I myself started learning violin.
Let me give you an (pretentious?) answer... I am not judging over her as a person, I have only given my (professional) opinion about the performance at hand. I dislike the tendency to mix everything up. In life you have to learn instead to do whatever you do right and wholly and not merely as a means of pulling attention towards yourself. By the way I am disappointed because I expect so much more from her - that means that I believe in her talent...!

That sound is absolutly AMAZING!!!!!
Thank you! :) And I know! I can't even get my head around how much he wrote. :O
Love Emilie....
she's awesome *.* i love her!!!

Viva Bach!
Sublime. Gracias por compartirlo.
Maravilhoso! Obrigada!
So utterly haunting.
YES! It is all about the corsets, obviously.

@MrJabberzz I beg to differ; many Bach compositions are played with harpsichord along with the violin ...

@Gummify agreed i l enjoy them both also so your not alone

Oh, yes, I realized it's the first movement of the violin sonata No. 4 in C minor (BWV 1017). Thank you very much for the tip!
@angietihi YUKK WHAT?!
love emilie with all my heart
Does anyone know the BWV of this Bach theme? After listening Emilie's version, I want to get the whole concert.
@Sonjhh Really? I didn't think of that personally.
Might I ask what about the song/anime makes you connect the two?

That was a joke... obviously.
