When you said $7,000 I just about fainted. However, seeing what is in it, makes me think anyone that has put together this collection deserved a fair offer. I watch you-tube video's often where they seem to pride themselves on how much they can get for nothing. I applaud your effort to be fair to your sellers.
One of my sons when he was a little. Made me coffee a brought it to me on my birthday. He began singing “ The best part of waking up is soldiers in your cup!” In it floated one of those toy soldiers lol
My very good friends husband designed the Texaco emblem. He worked for a graphic design company at the time so he did not receive credit for the design but she still has the original drawings.
OMG so many memories in there for me. Had that jack in the box and tiddly winks set. I was one of those kids who had to know how things worked so took jack out of the box put him back in ran off to show Mom . Cranked it up and Jack flew out of the box and Mom jumped about a foot. That is an awesome collection of medals. Keep Safe❤Keep Well ❤
Definitely always save the paper ephemera and “unsellable” comics and sell them as a lot or give them away locally to artists and makers who can use them in their work. Even Stephen may be able to use them in a piece of art, like as a collage background for one of his characters.
Such a blast from the past. Lots of things in your videos I recognize from my childhood. What makes it even better is that I'm probably not going to live much longer due to terminal illness. (I'm 41) I feel I'm reminiscing even more lol. Thank you for making my time more exciting.
So disappointed you didn’t show tin dollhouses. I collect Renwal and Ideal dollhouse furniture which I just gave to my daughter. We bonded when she was 9-15 y/o. She also got my Archie comic books. Son inherited all the Legos with instruction booklets. I still look for unique miniatures to put in my printer trays. My Katie Keene comics and my huge paper doll collection was given to a friend. I also collected all sorts of items made from paper, especially children items. When you rumble thru paper items my stomach starts to hurt. Mostly enjoyed the collection of military pubs, buttons, etc. I recently retired from the Dept of Veterans Affairs and had a huge bulletin board loaded with patches, badges, pins, etc. I found in antique stores which found a home in my office. Loved the brass button holder used in cleaning brass buttons. That I had never seen before. Loved the Coke truck & Spearmint gum truck. 😊🇺🇸
@@stubstoo6331 I was not much of a comic book reader when I was a kid - however, I did have a pretty good collection of Mad Magazines. My real collection was the Mad series of paper back books. You, Alex, are a wealth of knowledge. You amaze me with your adventures. . No other videos even compare to what you produce. These toys bring back lots of memories for each of us. Can’t wait for your next adventure.
Lots of toys. Some really old toys. Have fun and enjoy all these toys of which some I use to play with. I was quite the tomboy as not many girls around in the neighborhood to play with plus I had brothers near my age.❤️👍
I recognize the dollhouse. I played with one as a child but never had one of my own. You were smart to build that big garage so you have a place to sort!
Kastners is a great partner and resource. I love the business model buy, sort and move along, no moss growing ... plus what a great job to have, nice content for YT too and you do it well.
Ah, that brass guard for polishing buttons would have come in handy when I was in the Army! We had to use our fingers. We'd end up with Brasso all over our hands.
My grandfather went up the ranks of Texaco from when it started as Indian Refinery Company and onward. He had that ship you were showing. It looks in great shape! Wonderful find!
OMG I'm a vintage toy collector and just within the first few seconds of your video I saw the tin doll houses and I want!!! Plus so many more things!!! Great find. I'm hoping to find a good deal as this one day!!!
Oh man. The Ghost story comics made me cry. I used to read my Mom's old comics at our family's cabin but they got destroyed in a flood. I've tried to find them to replace them with no luck. Just seeing some of the familiar titles made me so happy. ❤
Great video Brother Alexander. Superb collectables. Very Cool getting those vintage toys out to collector's to appreciate them again! Thanks for sharing Your passion and adventures from Toronto Ontario Canada 😀 👍 ❤️ 🇨🇦🌎❤️✨️💯💯💯💯💯✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️

I hope you made up auction batches of the comics missing their covers. Those page can be used in decoupages! And loose paper, directions, money etc have a market of scrapbooking.
Ohh my gosh I love the comics 💕 And I see the dollhouse my sisters and I received from Santa, ohh what beautiful memories, thank you so much for moments of childhood.
Can you work as one of those people who are hired to go through people's belongings and find things to sell - for them? I think it's called estate liquidator. I guess that would include cars and furniture - not as much fun as these boxes! 😀
I would have liked to see the inside of the metal doll houses. 😥My neighbor had one from the late '50's. She still had it in the early '60's but I was never allowed to play with it. Those toys are way cool! You will do well. Thank you Alex. You have an exciting month coming up!
As a child, I found the metal dollhouses disappointing. They were "cold", with the room contents stamped on the metal walls and the furniture rubbery and all the same color.
Another video of eclectic collectibles....I think you'll recoup your $ & more from the sale of these items....love that you have some items for yourself too...that's the beauty of collecting certain items....one never knows what will show up in these "buys".... ps....loved seeing all the comics....childhood memories for sure!!! ♥from BC pps....enjoy your trip to Nashville....
Oh my! The Wrigley’s Spearmint gum Truck with the Railway Express Agency logo caught my attention. My dad and grandfather both worked for REA in Kentucky and Tennessee. My dad was working for them in East Tennessee when they eventually went out of business/bankrupt in 1975.
Woohoo! Nashville! Howdeeeee and welcome. Born and raised Nashvillian for a bunch of years, here. I’m so excited to see what you get into when you come through. It’s odd to think of my town from a visitor point of view. To me the most beautiful part of Nashville has always been the people. In recent years though, it’s like many growing city’s in that most of the people aren’t from here anymore. I still think you’ll find it a friendly place. Welcome to you Alex and I hope you find that you enjoy it. Take care. 🤟🏼🤍
Fantastic collection Alexander. Well worth the trip and a great outing with your son. Looking forward to following this auction with some of your play by play.
This reminds me of when I used to do this. I always found stuff in box lots to keep for my collection and it helped my saving account when I retired and moved to the Philippines. It does make me wish I could still be doing this as it was always a lot of fun. I mostly sold at toy shows so always got to see a lot of cool stuff and talk to a lot of people about what they had to sell. I was never going to get rich but it was an awesome hobby. There is a lot of cool stuff here in this lot of toys.
What a cool collection. I love those military medals, they're so interesting and different. I'm impressed by your knowledge about the toys and their age, makers, etc.
Ohhhhhhhhhh I need that doll house ! I can't find one here around me & you've had a few lol...I wish shipping to me wouldnt be so much lol..Im in the USA !
The medal you showed is from WWII and is called the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal. My mother has it for service in the RCAF. If the medal has a silver bar on it with maple leaf, that signifies service overseas, my father has this on his for overseas service with the RCAF. If the medal is a real one it is made from silver. Most would have also received the "War Medal 39 - 45" and the "Defense Medal" The Defense Medal required a minimum of 6 months service overseas.
I come from a family with military men in it, including my husband. It just hurts my heart when a family doesn’t have the military medals to remember and cherish. So many are stolen in burglaries. Then they dump them in a thrift donation box when they find it’s difficult to pawn or sell them and the value is to the person who earned them and their family. There are organizations that will help you reunite the medal with the military man, woman or family. I thank everyone who sacrificed for their countries in the military and first responders. It takes a very special person to go into a battle in a war, a police officer who knows there’s a gunman, or a fire person who runs into a blazing building. These people and their families are who should have the medals and memorial items.
Oh wow! I had no idea the Kipp Big Boy was a comic too! I remember that restaurant from when I was like 4! I always wanted to play with the statue but, was never permitted..

That Star Trek is #1 and actually worth some decent money.
