    I thought the priday beds were at Richardson’s. Polka Dot ranch is awesome and so are the people there.

    Awesome finds man! Really looking forward to going out there a couple weekends from now. Lucky for me I live close💥 Also wanted to say I like how you structured your video with the Before video footage and the still framed After shot. Definitely coming back for the next one.

    Awesome finds! I went to Red Top for the first time earlier this spring and managed to find 5 blues (little brothers to that big one) and a geode...beginners luck I guess. There was still snow in areas on the trail, a little gnarly, but I didn’t let that stop me! 😺

    Very nice finds! Are some of those considered Ellensburg blues?

      Thank you for your comment. As a matter of fact we can now say that some of these agates have been confirmed as Ellensburg Blues. Thanks again.

    I didn’t realize they start blue and could turn gray? Dumb question what’s the difference between agate blue and ellensberg blue?

    • @chrisandrewoutside1560
      @chrisandrewoutside1560  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Some agates look blue because of the matrix or dirt coating them. This is because of shadow, and isn’t the actual color of the agate. When you remove the exterior you take the shadow away and it reveals the actual color of the agate, which is often grey or clear.
      Ellensburg Blues have a different chemical composition than other blue agates. The main difference is an elevated level of zirconium. 🙂

    Can you tell me where you guys were at for the blues? I keep getting skunked!

      HI Bree, this is a tough one to answer. The last couple we found were at Red Top, but you don't find them everywhere up there. You have to wander around and try different spots until you start finding greater deposits of agate in the area, and don't just look for nodules or geodes. Look for seam agate as well, with brown rhyolite coating the outsides.
      You really have to put a lot of time in hunting out the different areas, and you can't expect to find anything blue every time you go. Check out our latest video for tips on how to identify an Ellensburg Blue, as well some other good info. Thanks for watching! th-cam.com/video/1VAaVttDhM0/w-d-xo.html

    Road cuts?

      We found some in a road cut, but the rest were dug or found on on a slope.
