Was that your first ad ever? That's awesome!
Your a gifted artist of metal and a natural teacher passing on skills to others, well done !!
Yes.. True.
The passion is contagious 👍
I'm glad to see that you are doing more sheet metal work !!! That is why I started watching your channel a few years ago, because of your skill and great metal working ability !!
I do love these basic metal shaping videos. But I don't skip any of your other videos either, it's all great stuff. Thanks.
Wow that was intense. the patience to make that piece was incredible. thanks for sharing
It's so cool how the rough piece gets transformed into that beautiful smooth final part. Amazing work man.
It's always amazing to see what you can do with a piece of flat steel. Also good to see you getting back to what drew me to your channel.
Thank you Karl !!!!!!! Really appreciate your patience to teach us.... Loved watching you and Brent from half-ass customs working together. That was awesome...... God bless. Keep up the good work
I love this content! I can't tell you how many of your techniques have helped me on my vehicle. I just planished in 24" curves on some valance panels fora 914 using your exampled of hand made dies.
This is my favorite part of your channel, but I dig everything else too.
Ramp trucks back and forth, nothing beats watching you do your sheet metal magic.
To be able to constructively beat up a piece of flat metal, to end with something not only aesthetically pleasing, but also meticulously fitting is so way beyond me, I can only watch in awe.
Altho happy you have a nice ramp truck, glad to have you back building sheetmetal into something useable
Back to the roots is always a good place to go Karl. Thanks for sharing another awesome video Mate. Cheers, Billy J.... Queensland, Australia
I really enjoyed all of the ramp truck stuff but, these kind of videos are what I really love! Tight work 👍🏻
G’day Carl, these are great educative videos, thank you for sharing your passion and enthusiasm. Looking forward to the next installment on the zephyr, but really I enjoy all your vids.
I fully agree. Personally I have been viewing the growth of the site almost we very video. That sure is what you channel grew on and that's what drew me to your channel. However I enjoy every moment of every thing which is shown. I have also like others been aware of those items whish have been put on the back shelf or fallen behind. I guess that progress is in motion. Many thanks for all the makings, effort and everything which yourself, Elio and others have an input.
Thank you SOOO much for showing us and sharing your knowledge with us! You are my favorite metal panel/ sheet artist! I dare to restore my car after an accident last year in feb. It's a Citroën Dyane of 1967 (luxury 2CV)
Cordial greetings!
Géréon
Very nice. I always learn things from your metal videos. Thanks.
I like learning how to shape metal. TH-cam is the only teacher for this that I have so please keep making the videos.
Explaining and telling how to shape and form is very important always enjoy watching your videos thumbs up 👍
I have been watching you videos for a long time and have always enjoyed them but this video for some reason I completely understood the way you explained how you were moving the metal. It clicked in my head. It’s hard to explain but I have always enjoyed fabrication work, have owned a custom chopper shop, but this video made me understand more than anything else I have seen. Thank you.
An old school brother in 2024 the you have to make it to save it family is so small now you rock with all your videos bringing an art back to the main stream that I thought was lost but for a few old guys thanks brother
I have been loving the ramp truck videos but these repair show & tells are why I consider your channel one of the very best💚🇬🇧🌱
This kind of content is exactly what I love. I certainly enjoy all of your videos but this is particularly great. I have a project that just fell in my lap to make a liquor cabinet entirely clad in brass sheet. Loads of shape. If I were two section the brass sheet the welds lines will be a mismatch color. So each door has to be formed from one single sheet. So this is great content for me. Keep it coming!
Yes Karl, we wish to learn from you.
No one can know it all, but you do have great knowledge.
Fantastic craftsmanship Carl! You're a genius!
Шедевральна робота!👍
I absolutely love watching this kind of work. Thank you again for sharing, Karl!
I was thinking, make it out of two pieces, but you showed us how it can be done using one.
👍👍
Thank you Karl.
Looking forward to the next video.
Perfect... You explain things well. Not just rust repairs done proppa, but a great intro into body making.. 👍🇭🇲
Love what you do Carl!
You rock! Thank you for your gifted contribution to this world.
Excellent explanation of your process! Your metal shaping/fabrication skills are just remarkable! That was a ton of work! Love all the content! Go Japhands, keep moving forward!
Very nice way to see how much it takes to make a patch panel in one piece .
Well done. Love the metal shaping and tool creation videos but I watch and like them all. 👍👍
Unbelievable! Beautifully done.
Absolutely the best episode in a while.. Great explanation of the process and seeing the results.. You are correct, this is what I personally came to your channel for and it has been a great experience all the way a long.. Please keep it real, you are the best..
Thank you for the support on this! I know I’ve been all over the place with builds and not as much sheet metal, which is really what the channel was built on
Excellent, as expected. Thank you. This helps me with the very amateur metal artwork I do.
Carl you make it look so easy, but years of experience have honed your skills! I can't wait to start working with some metal and watching your videos then maybe someday being able to attend a class you put on.
You are the master! Always enjoy you sharing your amazing skills. Thank you
Like, like, like the sheet metal fab videos. Looking forward to the 2-piece demo version. More in line with my skillset.
Great job. Thanks for sharing.
Duplication is the hardest part sometimes, you can get lucky and have something turn out good but then trying to build another one exactly the same or a mirror image can be maddening! You’re the best bud! Tell Brenda I says hi! 😍
this helps me to better understand how to think about how I need to make parts and what to expect. If it looks Wonky well then start over or keep at it till its better. A Great Man has said " Every Day is a Skool Day. :)
Karl this is a great video on common problems run into when working on our junk! 👍🏻
Thanks Steve!
This stuff is great. I also enjoy the home made tools. I am busy building your mini pull max. Thank you for sharing... from South AFRICA
Fantastic video. Love these. Look forward to more. Be safe and stay well.
Great to see the process, from start to finish, Looking at a rust hole like that, it's hard to know where to even start, so I end up not starting at all. Love the video.
Although I enjoy the cool builds and the artistic touch. I always enjoy some educational stuff.
AMAZING work! But, yeah, I can't wait to see an easier way to do this. Holy chit man, that was a ton of work... Many thanks for sharing and giving me an idea of what's involved in doing this kind of restoration!
I like these types of videos. I can't believe you can work metal sheets that much without it giving up the ghost and splitting somewhere.
All respect to you Sir. That is amazing work you did on that patch panel. Mind officially blown 🤯🤯
Good explanation of what you wanted to make the metal do!
Thanks Karl, yes many of us are watching you to learn how to do this, also we need to fabricate panels for vehicles that patch panels are not available for. You explain thing very clearly.
Thanks a lot! That’s always been my goal
Thanks for the video. It was entertaining as well as informative.
I’ve been excited for this video for a very long time
Excellent job, looks excellent, thanks for sharing, all the best to yous and your loved ones
Moving metal 👍 nice work 👨🏻🎨
Wow! Shoe sales now! That aside, what a great video💚🇬🇧🌱 this sort of info is so helpful thanks Karl👍
Karl, that's your wheelhouse! You are fantastic at metal work so just rock it! We still LOOOOOOOOVE builds like the zephyr as it is a lot of metal work! I personally would still love to see how either ech or both of you and Mr. Bennet would build a hallock style or Duvall style windshied!! Once I see that then I'll start bugging ya about making a custom CEO but something classy that's never been around like a Packard COE or a Lincoln COE or a Cadillac COE!!!
Absolutely love watching this type of content thankyo
Educational, love switching shit up for a video or two
It is amazing that you can take a flat piece of metal and make that much shape without cutting it...
Excellent tutorial.
Great skill !
Outstanding work K
Thanks for the lesson.
Your buddy Fitzee loves to make shapes out of multiple pieces. "Cut and Butt" !
Fine work Karl.thanks for the lessons
So glad to see more of this content. The big projects are great, but your true gift is metal shaping and these lessons are invaluable. Thank you.
Thanks Tom! Yea man I gotta get back to it !
Great work and a great explanation on how and why you should do it a certain way. Thanks again. Later
Did you have a mentor or did you learn all this yourself. Hard to believe you can bent sheetmetal so much and then plenish it back smooth. You are a master.
th-cam.com/video/g_k7-nty5qU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=7q5U6LZjk9RqHofz I don't know if You Tube allows hyperlinks but one year ago there was a video about his background, there's a lot of inspiration in that video
Love the fab work, and the tolms youve made to do the worn 👍
I look at this, and wish I had this level of skill, but JC…it’s like ‘how to build a piano from scratch’. I will NEVER develop my skills to that level. Know thyself. But if I can cut in a rust repair panel without it looking wonky or using 15 gallons of Bondo, I’ll consider myself successful. Don’t get me wrong, it’s awesome to watch a master. But I am ham handed and can not grasp the pebble. You are the man!
Im impressed how you got that done.yes , i wold have never achieved that in one piece. My amateur skills lead me to use duct tape, and pile on a couple layers then peel it off and slit tape to lay it flat. I used to cut out where there was metal showing and shape and weld. Now it would indicate where shrinks would be.
Looking forward to the 2 piece panel video.
Thanks!..Great information..
Excellent video, very intresting thanks Karl.
Always good stuff! Thanks for sharing
Another great video i was watching mike belleo yesterday thanks so much for telling us about about a year ago he just hit the 50k subscriber mark i told him with his tallent he should be at 500k i love all you guys videos thanks karl keep doing what you do.
Awesome!!
Good tutorial.
Learned alot on this one!!
Back in the 60's you find a wreaked one and cut off the parts you need or make your own from scratch
There was No Replacement Panels to buy
I Learned the Old Ways in my youth, and kept up with Technology
thx Guys
Excellent video!!
_We don't know what we don't know ~ and now we're sure of it!_
Love this kind of work. Have you thought about making a wood form or even a metal form to hammer over the top and edges?
Good stuff. Thanks!
looks like lot of fun.
I love watching your content every week and your skills are something I inspire to gain.. Just curious how many hours do you think this piece took to build.. Thank you
Love it!!
I'm glad you said you wouldn't do it this way again, I kept thinking what it would cost in labor for this part, I'll guess you had almost the whole day on it? At our repair shop we charge $154 an hour. :)
Awesome work as usual though!
Awesome video!
Nice
Triple pass Radiator + those twin fan setup from your mate will fix the ramp truck Karl,
Great video Karl! I wish I knew you needed those fenders. I’ve got a pair sitting in my yard. Rough, but not rotted. DM me if you need inner fenders or the duct tubes.
Very happy to watch you do that but right from the start when I saw how much shrink you needed I thought that's a two-piece because I just don't have time for that, bring on the next one.
Have you ever seen Sasquatch walking around that lake that would be awesome
Mad skills ❤
Love this content.
I dig it. 🤘🏻
