    Hi wonderful video. I’m new to IT and was wondering if chrome and 7zip installed on the the image that you installed on hyper V? You didn’t log in so wasn’t sure. Also how did you get those application from SCCM?

    • @ManishBangia
      @ManishBangia  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for liking the video. We need to create the applications first in sccm console and that can be added under task sequence to get it installed along with operating System.

    Thanks Manish Sir for this explanation. It's really informative. Small query why we are using Boot media instead PXE ? Benefits for Boot Media?

    • @ManishBangia
      @ManishBangia  ปีที่แล้ว

      Pxe has more benefits as we are able to boot into pxe without USB. But PXE requires a setup such WDS role installation and enabling few pxe related configuration. This requires a separate video to understand the whole process. It is easy to create boot media, included that in the video.

    What happens if I didn't provide a local administration password in the tasksequence? If incase of tasksequence fails how to get the SMSTS.log file and troubleshoot it..

    • @ManishBangia
      @ManishBangia  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The only way to get log files in this scenario is to get logs when u see task sequence error with time-out window and press F8 to open command prompt.
      I always prefer a time-out setting of 24 hours so as it becomes easy to see error window staying for longer time.

    Is it mandatory to create boot media after creating TS? Why not to create a deployment onto a device collection and then boot the device on PXE and let the TS run?

    • @ManishBangia
      @ManishBangia  ปีที่แล้ว

      Either Boot media or PXE, any option is fine. Boot media is not mandatory.

      @@ManishBangia thank you for replying. I have created a TS from an old running TS then distributed the content to distribution points and then when i start the vm, it boots into PXE. After loading the content the microsoft toolkit window appears and after a minute TS stops. Can you guide me where to look? My new TS is deployed to a device collection and i have added the test vm to this collection. For partition and format disk step i have added 2 steps. 1 for UEFI based machine and 1 for legacy bios. I have added TS variables to check if the machine has uefi enabled or not.

    • @ManishBangia
      @ManishBangia  ปีที่แล้ว

      Once boot image loads. Press F8 to open command prompt. Open smsts.log located under x:\windows\temp\smstslog.
      Also, look for ip address if you are getting it. type ipconfig and see the results.

      @@ManishBangia the TS is failing on partition and format disk using uefi when i set when vm on EFI secure boot mode. When i set vm on bios mode it works. The old TS is working fine on partition and format disk using uefi step using same boot image and osd wim file

    • @ManishBangia
      @ManishBangia  ปีที่แล้ว

      This seems like a Generation 1 VM which only supports Bios. For UEFI to work, VM should be generation 2 and would recommend to enable secure boot.

    Hi
    Followed the same steps except I provided ip manually for the network ip details as we don’t have dhcp enabled
    It finishes the task sequence successfully but doesn’t join to the domain making sure it is OU but not folder also the log says successfully join the domain
    Account that used has the correct permissions
    Any suggestions what will be reason behind this?

    • @ManishBangia
      @ManishBangia  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Check the netsetup.log which is located under c:\windows\debug. This log file will give you the information on domain join issues.

    Hi, so sorry to tell you this but I can't understand your heavy Indian accent at all. One word of advise. If you wish to speak English, please use the English tone and take your time to pronounce each word slowly instead of speaking Indian English. We don't understand Indian so we won't understand your Indian English. Thank-you, my man!
