Kids will never know that feeling of waiting to purchase a physical piece of music, getting home, playing it and feeling you own that bit of music.
*I subscribe to the Umberto Eco view that Noel's a poet and Liam's a town crier and that, to me, seems like the perfect combination*
Makes absolutely no sense yet is still brilliant
@@errands8253what? It makes perfect sense. Noel is the poet because he writes the lyrics. Liam is the town crier because he's the lead singer. Attributing it to Umberto Eco just makes it funny.
@@errands8253 bro, it's what Peter Doherty (the teenage boy at thumbnail photo) said when he was interviewed by mtv vj at the same event
that's as funny as a screen dootlr on a battle ship.
Trousers
News presenter Gill Dando RIP❤️
Haha, that's me at 0.36 mark, I had just turned 14 and went to school off Oxford Street so snuck into HMV before my lesson...
Pete’s sly smile
I found it charming
It's Pete on the day he did his town crier routine
Yes which he'd lifted off umberto whatsit
After he won the poetry competition that sent him to Russia
I lived this in 1997. I was in college at the time. This was HUGE.
Magical things like this won't happen again thanks to the closure of record shops and the fucking digital age.
You listen to some shit music
@@darrenreid5409 Thanks bud! Hugs and kisses xxx
I miss that ! The good old days
It was a crap album tho
Bunch of millennials in my replies. Just young mp3 wankers who wouldn't have a clue what record shops were like.
It’s crazy to beleive that this is now history music is just down loaded on your phone there’s no real hype about it anymore , we lived in a better differant era ✌🏼
Haha Pete Doherty is in the video
hahaha I was going to comment exactly the same

20 years old today and these occasions are unfortunately extinct , thanks to the end of rock n roll , albums being released and the dam pop cultured internet
None at all. Kings of Leon still make guitar music, albeit a much more neutered version of the Southern-Garage-Rock that they used to make. Arctic Monkeys are still going strong but their new album is anything but rock & roll, and the same story with The Strokes who seem content to release songs that sound like they took 15 minutes to make and they don't bother touring for it either. Yea, rock is dead but it'll come back under the slogan of 'Remember Oasis, The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, and the Chili Peppers?' More of a revivalist movement than anything, but it'll come back, be sure of it.
@Cool Waters there are plenty of good young guitar bands. You just need to actually look for them
I look at modern music today and oh boy, they do suck, as well as overrated as well, rock is definitely needed to come back to balance the music world.
When a new album came out it was a great event,I remember getting this album the week it came out, I was 12,social media and the internet has ruined music
And the Xfactor
it ruined the music business great music still out there just need to find it
@@scottnorman4334 all these talent shows ruined music. Rock is the reason why i still have a sense of humanity. Pop music just went garbage when 2010’s rolled around, hopefully a kurt cobain figure will bring rock music back to the mainstream in 2020’s.
people ruined it*
And now Peter Doherty and Liam Gallagher are sharing Lisa Moorish as their each child
Bless Jill
0:44 crazy man shouting "yeeeeaaaay" 😂
LOL at Pete being there
Yeah bless him

As long as she still get menstrual age doesn't matter 😂 and now Peter Doherty and Liam Gallagher are sharing Lisa Moorish as the mother of their each child

Diana's death killed in fact Be Here Now.
End of Britpop
@@MarlboroughBlenheim1 not really because underrated band such as Mull Historical Society was formed in 2001
@@epinhervin9355 yeah but one band isn't a cultural movement and sure, in the few years after, some remnants would continue (oasis and blur and other bands all carried on). The thing is that the moment had passed. The zeitgeist has moved on. Arrogant, brash, drinking and laddish music was replaced by Coldplay and travis and angels by Robbie Williams and so on in the mainstream that fitted the sensitivities of the time.
@@MarlboroughBlenheim1 bro I'm just said Mull Historical Society because they are my fave brit band that appear in 2001 there are still lot of brit band and they are never die

Who's the young lady at 0:38 ? isn't she a tv presenter now? or was
Hiya - that would be me. I always wanted to be a tv presenter but no I didn't become one!
Adjust the tracking bruv!
But who killed her though?
she was going to blow open the paedophile ring that was frequented by jimmy saville, cyril smith and other well known people. probably someone with links to the royal family ordered her murder.
Pop group ?
Yes they are
pop from popular, which they kinda are
Popular music genre is pop, the least interested genre right now is rock, it pisses me off most people these days sweat their dcks off listening to pop, which is so degrading and overrated.
@@Crackersonthemoon you are dumb
Yes bpop like kpop 😂
Umberto Ecco: è falso
"Be Here Now" is a quote from John Lennon??? Nope 🤣
No it's more from Yoko Ono artwork
Absolutely hilarious to see the complete misogyny on display here. Oasis were also behind a huge marketing machine, much like the Spice Girls, but because they're male & it's rock music, it's seen through a more intellectual lens & described as 'grass-roots'. Spare me.
It has nothing to do with misogyny snowflake.
@@honeypower It really does. Oasis are pish. Nobody knows who they are outside of the UK, Wonderwall aside lol.
