Thank you Clif, I’m so grateful for your lessons. I especially love how you teach the solo sections of songs, something about the way you approach soloing opens up so many doors for me.
My grab bag of strategies keeps expanding, and when I watch Jerry I can see hime leveraging off of a finite set of concepts, maybe 40 or 50 that opens the entire world of possibilities
@@vedantus if you wrote a book or did a video series on those Garcia concepts, I'd tell you to shut up and take my money. I've got maybe 2 or 3 of them down... as I'm figuring out how to finger pick for REAL, I'm finding a few more, but anywho... love ya Clif, I echo the gratitude shown by original commenter... love all the song specific lessons, but what if ya tried to portray how to play Garcia parts thematically, or with those 40-50 consistencies? A lot of us would learn better how to play like ourselves that way in my opinion. The song specific lessons are still awesome... you've taught me more than words can tell ;) thank you Clif! Cheers
@@kbbl102.5 I can do some, yes. I learn a lot from GratefulGuitarLessons.com and he has Garcia blues strategy, Garcia country strategy etc. I have put up some, but will do more!
@@vedantus cool, I'll delve deeper on your channel! Used to see your clips on facebook but I got off those social media mediums. I miss it. Haven't really seen your long form lessons until lately. Cheers and thanks!
@@vedantus Any chance you could make a video on how you solo over Scarlet Begonias? I know you've got a video on that song already, but it doesn't really cover the solo approach, plus I'm sure you've gotten more insight on it over the years
Thank you for sharing as always!!! You’re making me revisit some songs that I’ve done in the past, and some that I’ve been meaning to get to. I’m finding it to be truly rewarding to hear these songs, with older more, experienced ears and give them some work. Thanks again 😊
In general I play looking at the chords, figure out the voicing and the runs, (or have them shown to me!) and then I know what to do when looking at those chords, so I have never written out tab on anything... I use the 352 page Dead book that has all the e songs, though I have edited it a lot, maybe on like 20 songs, to be more correct.... let me know if you need me to email that...

I know what you mean. I wish I could. go through and update all my TH-cam videos with how I think of things now!
Fantastic. Thank you.
If you wrote out any tab for it , would you share it ?

Beautifully done! Your vibrato sounds are certainly is adding to the sound.
I should've mentioned that in the lesson, its a dimension I never think of, just unconsciously mimic dead shows
Always inspiring,, thank you much appreciated !!!
Any song ideas for future lessons?
Thanks for the lesson! After you’re cover I was really hoping you’d post this.
They are a matched set, done so close together!
Fantastic, great addition to the lesson.
Thank you. The lesson is wonderful!
We are all on this journey together!
THANK YOU! The other tutorials are never this clear!
I know! I am always going to tutorials, and some of the very best are so dark and blurry. How hard is it to turn on the lights before recording!
@@vedantus Oh no! I hope you didn't think I was talking about your videos. I meant the other tutorials for this song lol
@@zacjohnson164 Yes, understood... I just have the same experience where I go to videos and the visual quality makes it harder to learn...
You're the man!
Whoop whoop!
That's interesting, when you add the bass to the chord, the vocal line gets harmonized too. Nice arrangement.
They do that in a lot of songs, looks like rain immediately came to mind but in a lot of other places too...
Where did you get that guitar?
Its a Phiga (Phil Gawen from Texas) guitar Phiga.com I think. Changed my life
Thanks homie 🙏🏼✌🏼
nice guitar 😎
@@joblo6394 Saw Bobby last night, amazing show, Scarlet , Playing, Uncle, Estimated OTHER ONE
