The reason i started watching the new MMC was because of JC. His voice was destined for stardom. He made me want to try to audition for the show just to sing with him.
When I was pregnant with my son, I would sing this song to him all the time. I tried for a year to get pregnant only to have a miscarriage. I was devastated. When I got pregnant again 6 months later, I was thrilled, but apprehensive. As the months went by, and I watched my belly grow, I knew that I would love my little guy forever. I would hold my belly, feel him kick and sing this song to him. Without you in my life, baby, I just wouldn't be living at all. His name is Brandon, and he'll be 20 this year.
This just made this 39 year old's heart sing as if it was 17 again. JC, they never ever gave you enough recognition and they knew they couldn't control you like Justin and that you had better talent, so I'm glad immensely that you stayed gorgeous you. Thank you for such beautifulness and thank you to Richard for doing this duet.

Richard Marx is still unique, his voice is the most recognizable I know and his songwriting is magnificent. And I'm sorry, but if JC was so good, why doesn't he write his own music. He's certainly earned so much that he doesn't have to rely on record labels to market himself. JT was able to do that. I'm not really a big fan of him but you have to give him credit for that. In the music business you're a nothing if you can't write your own songs.

I always think of my high school sweetheart when I hear this song. We only dated for a few months before he left for Job Corp and we lost touch. Ten years later and he found me again and we became best friends (I know he wanted more but we lived in different states and both understood that was nearly impossible so we compromised and were best friends). This is funny to me because I am 50 and Richard Marx was huge when I was in high school, but I was also a big fan of NSYNC when I was in my late 20’s. Hubby and I even danced to this at our wedding in 2001.

Richard Marx's voice has never waned over the years, he is as brilliant live as he is on his cd's. He writes his own lyrics which are amazing, and defines what an artist really is.

Wow, Great memories. Musicians these days just don't write simple beautiful love songs anymore. I guess new generations don't fall in love like the way we did before. I remember times when we would make a cassette or a CD with ballads and give it to our girl with selected songs showing how we feel about her or viceversa, then years later if you were still together or not, you would listen to certain songs and would bring back memories. Record companies are big part responsible for letting great music behind and getting new generations into untalented performers most of them unable to even play an instrument or write music. Just very few out there that are worth listening to. Yes, I said "Letting great music behind" because great music never dies.
I got to speak to JC via radio. They were taking questions and he LOVED mine. I asked him, aside from N’Sync as a whole, what was it like, for him personally to go into the studio with the legendary Richard Marx. And he really flipped out with “aww great question, great question!” He started talking about how (if memory serves) that when he auditioned either MM Club or the group that he actually sang a Richard Marx song. And that he was absolutely thrilled to have had the opportunity to work with him in the studio; you could tell that he had so much admiration and respect for Richard! ❤ PS If anything looks weird, I have an eye infection so perfectionist me can’t tell if my grammar and punctuation is correct! 😂
JT has gotten better throughout the year though. "Sexy back" is the most awful and boring song I've ever heard but mirrors and can't stop the feeling is quite good actually. Nonetheless, he's the one with most "X-factor" in the group.
I love this so much and for so many reasons. The fact that this song was a full circle moment for JC whose career launched because of a Richard Marx song he sang in an audition. His face every time his verse comes along and people start cheering him and you can tell it means the world to him. The range that he displayed here - singing the song in a deeper register than we're used to hearing and also hitting some beautiful falsettos. That this performace shows how humble and what a team player JC is because despite the fact we all know he can BELT those powerhouse notes written in the song, he doesn't here and instead holds back to give most of those notes to Richard because it's **his** show. The chemistry these two men have and the clear mutual respect and appreciation for the other's artistry. Everything. I just hate that moments like this are so tragically few and far between because JC, for whatever reason, rarely sings in public anymore. That man could sing the phone book to the tune of Baby Shark and I would still be totally enraptured. I wish he'd come back 😪 ❤️

I always think of my high school sweetheart when I hear this song. We only dated for a few months before he left for Job Corp and we lost touch. Ten years later and he found me again and we became best friends (I know he wanted more but we lived in different states and both understood that was nearly impossible so we compromised and were best friends). He sent me a voicemail that said he'd love me until the day he died and he'd meet me at Heavens Gate when he got there. A week later he was killed in a head on collision. This song will always hold a special place in my heart.

This is funny to me because I am 50 and Richard Marx was huge when I was in high school, but I was also a big fan of NSYNC when I was in my late 20’s. Hubby and I even danced to this at our wedding in 2001.

Wow, Great memories. Musicians these days just don't write simple beautiful love songs anymore. I guess new generations don't fall in love like the way we did before. I remember times when we would make a cassette or a CD with ballads and give it to our girl with selected songs showing how we feel about her or viceversa, then years later if you were still together or not, you would listen to certain songs and would bring back memories. Record companies are big part responsible for letting great music behind and getting new generations into untalented performers most of them unable to even play an instrument or write music. I got to speak to JC via radio. They were taking questions and he LOVED mine. I asked him, aside from N’Sync as a whole, what was it like, for him personally to go into the studio with the legendary Richard Marx.
And he really flipped out with “aww great question, great question!” He started talking about how (if memory serves) that when he auditioned either MM Club or the group that he actually sang a Richard Marx song. And that he was absolutely thrilled to have had the opportunity to work with him in the studio; you could tell that he had so much admiration and respect for Richard! ❤

I love this so much and for so many reasons. The fact that this song was a full circle moment for JC whose career launched because of a Richard Marx song he sang in an audition. His face every time his verse comes along and people start cheering him and you can tell it means the world to him. The range that he displayed here - singing the song in a deeper register than we're used to hearing and also hitting some beautiful falsettos. That this performace shows how humble and what a team player JC is because despite the fact we all know he can BELT those powerhouse notes written in the song, he doesn't here and instead holds back to give most of those notes to Richard because it's **his** show. The chemistry these two men have and the clear mutual respect and appreciation for the other's artistry. Everything. I just hate that moments like this are so tragically few and far between because JC, for whatever reason, rarely sings in public anymore. That man could sing the phone book to the tune of Baby Shark and I would still be totally enraptured. I wish he'd come back 😪 ❤️
