Despite the Wpac being less active than the Atlantic this year in terms of named storms, it had higher c1+, c3+, and ACE than the Atlantic. The Wpac had over 309 units while Atlantic had 250.
WPAC saw less storms then the hyperactive northern Atlantic that year. All of the Pacific still had more cyclones than the (northern) Atlantic that year, though.
Ah yes, 2005. The year when the WPAC lost for the very first time against the ATL. in terms of named storms. Despite that, it still produced more ACE. What's notable is that Haitang and Emily were 2 C5 simultaneously. Matsa and Longwang were costly and deadly storms in China and were thus retired. From what I seen, Nabi was only retired because it sounded very similar to 'priest' in Arabic. For one though, I'm suprised Khanun and Talim weren't removed from the naming list.
Matsa, Talim, Nabi, and Longwang were retired after their deaths and damage in the WSBPTS World. However in the real world, Talim remained on the list.
