Gogeta killing Rhyme and Seereax each in one hit, then letting Doto heal up to full health before killing him in a single combo, always gets me. I know they're random, but sometimes the CPU comes off as a little sadistic...
The follow-up to Jiren's Try Something is a throw with 4 frames of start-up (it's not instant). However, Vegito's 5L, which is what clashed with the counter, remains active all the way through even if one of the hits misses or gets blocked, so they plow through Jiren's start-up frames outright. If Jiren's counter had been a frame-1 attack (i.e. it would be instant), Jiren would have won the clash.

That counter needs to be like EVERY other counter in that you can't just mash through it with Potara Kick type shenanigans. Sure, you could make the point that he has another counter... one that goes woefully unused because it has two different versions for standing/crouching as far as I'm aware and, unless it changed, Jiren's other counter STILL doesn't trigger against armor so... 70+% of Z Broly's kit
