I hope Upper Deck does better with quality control at that price point for Series 2. And yes it’s sad that profits were put over hobby growth with the increased price. At that price point a lot of kids will be priced out of enjoying the rip. Great video! Thank you!

Great point. I don't think QC will be any different for this box unfortunately. We could talk for days about this ha. Part of the downside of a monopoly on the product. To their credit, they've built a good business over the years and kept some brands alive (O-Pee-Chee, Parkhurst) that would have otherwise died. But we'll also never see new brands/have any competition in the meantime (enter price gouging)...and the outburst gold 1/1 of Bedard...I wonder if that pull will really be left to chance. I hope and I hope it goes to a good collector! Thanks for watching and happy collecting.

I heard that soin after release of series 2 UD the price is to jump to around $700 a box. .... but who knows just going to have to wait and see. I just wish i got in at my local card shop for $150 a box presale. Lol could of made a killing.if i got 2 cases.

Wouldn’t surprise me. Hopefully once some of the Bedard cards start getting pulled and sold on eBay that the price goes down but over time it’ll still be a pricey box for a long long time unless Bedard is a complete bust which won’t happen. 15-16 (mcdavid rookie) box is still going for like $1000+ I think. My friend is actually a photographer for Upper Deck and took the Pettersson cover photo for 23-24 credentials. Think that deserves a couple comp’d boxes, or an employee discount? They didn’t even tell him, let alone credit him. Never do, despite having tons of his pictures being used as cards. It’s super cool, but just seems crazy to me he doesn’t even get told how his pictures are used. Anyway, hoping 23-24 credentials is worth a shot but not off to a good start in my eyes lmao

@@PuckMike yeah it’s his job which is awesome, but no credit for/communication about how the pictures are used. I should have an upper deck hookup! Oh well. They did give him a Christmas card with a picture of Bedard on it - both UD and Bedard officially on the same piece of cardboard is probably worth something at least lol
