That's totally fair. I actually made most of this video before 1.6.9 released. With the boost, it's worth consideration for sure. Either way, thanks for watching 😊
Fellow fish ponds lover, unite! I had 52 fish ponds going into 1.6 (on switch) with lava eel. When the update came to the switch it also brought with it the change that allows legendary fish in the ponds. Lucky me, I had 13 legend fish on hand... So I caught more, now I have around 30. I fish up about 1 golden cracker a day on average. With 15 crackers, I make between 300k and 700k daily JUST by aged roe. Easily going to make a million a day once I get all my ponds with legends, let alone when I get more golden crackers. Easy S tier. So long you are one heck of an angler ;)
As somebody who loves blasting the skull cavern + plays on SVE hardmode, the big furnace and double gems are easily A Tier. Cracking up Golden Mystery Boxes also gets me existed too. I think that trinkets are also quite underrated, especially the Fairy one for Skull Cavern dives + Parrot. Max rank Parrot combined with Monster Musk is a real money maker.
I got a perfect ice rod shortly into playing 1.6 and I've never needed anything else. It's can keep enemies frozen permenantly and gives insane crowd control. So the anvil was worth nothing and only made it for perfection crafting
Fiber is easily done if you plant fiber seeds as a transition crop, as they preserve the fertilizer and you get a few thousand basically every season - without having to do a lot of work. Especially if your play style is hoarder style.
I'd personally rank the golden mystery boxes higher because I can trade them for magic rock candy. They aren't super valuable to me outside of that, compared with the prismatic shards which are still useful for enchantments for me. So if I'm buying magic rock candy, I'm happy to get pretty easily from the mystery boxes. Kind of related - I don't think you mentioned that mystic syrup can also be traded at the raccoon shop for fairy dust. I'm finding this to be very useful for my end game money making! I use them on my casks after 28 days, instantly turning them from gold quality into iridium quality. It doesn't end up being a huge profit since mystic syrup is worth 1000g, but for ancient fruit (or anything more expensive than that) it is still a net profit, and I can age twice as much wine since it cuts the processing time in half
Good point on the fairy dust. For lot of things, it's not worth it, so I kinda skipped that aspect, but for the gold to iridium wine, you're absolutely right! Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment!
I felt the golden treasure chests to not happen that much. I am a big fan of the double gems since it's pretty neat getting a bunch of diamonds in one. Also the mystic trees are really nice with the mushroom logs (also mystic syrup while not being the best thing to use it for most likely can be traded for fairy dust) and the scythe is just amazing (I just love using it to harvest everything, super satisfying)
Once again you do the Skull Cavern route dirty. The mining Mastery is WAY ahead of the other masteries imo, though a ton of my income is coming from smelting so it fits my playstyle. If I were doing a new file I'd probably roll Mining -> Farming -> Forage -> Combat -> Fishing based on how much income they generate. Combat and Fishing don't scale as well as the others so they can be delayed. I could probably see a justification for moving Forage up, however imo the QOL offered by the Scythe and Big Furnaces outweighs the Mystic Seeds.
I totally respect that and I love that every skill has a way to gain insane money and incredible bonuses. I'm not much of a miner but since I deal in aged roe, once I'm done with my ponds I most likely will do more spelunking
@@keiharris332 Totally fair. the game has so many ways to interact with it so nothing is truly "the best" unless it fits with your playstyle. After a certain point in the game a lot of the passive stuff becomes the "best" option; you will have more money than you could ever even use so there is no reason to "go hard" in SC all the time. Things like Mystic trees, fish ponds, and repeat crops on GI will make you a ton, but then free you up to interact with the rest of the game.
Thanks for a really helpful video, I’m just getting into the mastery and went “foraging” first for the mystic tree seeds so I could get the trees growing. Then went “farming” to get the scythe. I don’t rate the combat rewards very high, as a scaredy cat fighter I wanted a complete set of iridium armour at the very least, the skull cavern terrifies me!😮
i dunno if it's patched but with the advanced iridium rod you can put lewis' shorts in one tackle slot & an actual tackle in the other, which makes the actual tackle never run out of durability.
i probably have a different perspective, but as someone who mostly tries to get perfection as the goal i work towards, the statue of blessings is a huge priority for me many of hte buffs are good enough for me to change my day for if the day isn't something like a harvest day
I agree with the majority of these, but Golden Animal Crackers are lower for me as animals are not a large portion of my income. In my current game, in year two, I have a large barn and a large coop, but no plan to increase those to deluxe any time soon, and golden animal crackers don't work on pigs anyway. But this is definitely a MMV (My Mileage Varies) case, rather than "objectively this is bad" statement. With everything else, this is more or less how I felt, including the Iridium Scythe at S-tier. I don't hate my scythe as much as you do, but I do wish it could harvest all my crops, so I'm looking forward to having that again on my latest farm, where only combat remians before I can unlock Mastery. My only complaint about the Iridium Scythe is that it doesn't harvest from fruit trees. I still have to go up to all my fruit trees and shake them for their fruit.
I can't imagine challenge bait ever being useful. It will only give the desired result on the exact sort of fish you already don't need more of! Esp. with the other new bait types this just seems like a waste of a bait slot. i do like the extra bobber slot though. with the addition of the fish smoker, the ability to quickly pile up high quality/high star value fish is pretty nice. Although it probably isn't worth A tier just for the cash (the fish smoker is cool but doesn't really scale all that well), I do like fishing a lot more now that I can customize my experience better.
S: Mystic Tree Seed, Golden Animal Crackers, Heavy Furnace A: Statue of the Dwarf King, Trinkets, Advanced Iridium Rod B: Iridium Scythe, Golden Treasure Chests, Challenge Bait C: Treasure Totem, Golden Mystery Boxes, Double Gems D: Statue of Blessing, Anvil F: Mini Forge The scythe is in B on my list because it doesn't pause the game while harvesting and only has a noticeable impact on *heavy* farming playthroughs, which are newbie playthroughs.
Great video but i think most of them great just 2-3 perks just make no sens but most of these desing for endgame after so dont think same ranking with you but good video !
just remember never to swing your weapon at the Prismatic Butterfly or else you will summon Daytime Empress of Light
This comment got a good chuckle out of me
Love your videos, but as a fish pond lover, and with the intro of legendary fish ponds, golden animal cracker has to be S tier

Strongly agree with every point except the golden mystery boxes. Their rewards pool is too annoying with all the clothing and food items.
@@i_am_ergoI actually kind of love opening golden boxes because of the pool, bringing back that card booster pack disappointment 😂
@@i_am_ergo you can trade them for magic rock candy or just use stardew predictor lool

same exact situation lol, it was my first trinket and made me think they were just OP asf
Yeah I put my anvil straight into the deconstructer
Perfect ice rod is a dream ❤
@@Curto971but then how do you collect dem frogs?

The iridium scythe is very good! Harvesting coffee and blueberries is soooo much easier and less time consuming now, I love it.

Personally, i'd give the statue of blessings a tier or two higher just because of the potential day-long speed buff
Pls talk about the indirect buff that dino eggs got when you get that treasure book from artifact troves, the one that make artifacts triple the price
Challenge Bait is must go with Water Blessing, then we fish Lava Eel for 9 free iridium one
I have truly spent millions of potential gold rerolling frog eggs at the anvil in order to get the prismatic frog. Was it worth it? Absolutely
I got:
1. Farming
2. Fishing
3. Foraging
4. Mining
5. Combat
someone has not tried legend 2 quest with curiousity + trap bobber apparently
The plus 1 ore per node can make you over 500 grand a day with heavy furnaces i would swap those with the mystic seed
S: Mystic Tree Seed, Golden Animal Crackers, Heavy Furnace
A: Statue of the Dwarf King, Trinkets, Advanced Iridium Rod
B: Iridium Scythe, Golden Treasure Chests, Challenge Bait
C: Treasure Totem, Golden Mystery Boxes, Double Gems
D: Statue of Blessing, Anvil
F: Mini Forge
The scythe is in B on my list because it doesn't pause the game while harvesting and only has a noticeable impact on *heavy* farming playthroughs, which are newbie playthroughs.
