    Great info! Thanks for sharing. It looks like you have simplified the noodle and ended up with a better one.

    I have enough problems with gators chewing up my jug noodles. I can only imagine what they would do to this!😅

    I will be making some of these. I also like to limb fish for cats with crawfish I catch. I in turn use the left over catfish parts to rebait the crawfish traps.

      I have never caught a catfish on a crawfish we run jugs trot lines a limb line every once in a while we use blue Gill and run 50 o 100 hooks at a time

    I use a Perception Pescador 12. So far it's been a good boat. I'd like to get a Jackson Big Tuna - but at over a thousand dollars that's a bit much for me.

    Here in TN we are only allowed a single hook per jug but we can have 50 jugs per angler.
    We normally go out with 150 jugs between 3 of us.
    I'm trying the chumming thing also. Great idea!

      @Meattrapper  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      spydergs Thanks! That's a lot of jugs! Another variation is to take catfish cheese and just stuff it into the ends of the pipes to lay down a slick.

      The Meat Trapper That's a good idea as well.
      Might have to try both this weekend!

    This is Darren Huffman from the Ozarks I do have something to share as far as long the same lines as the pantyhose you can shop around and go to a store that sales Galls Four wounds they make a tubular gauze for any size go over your finger to over your arm well the size I buys size that goes go over your finger he tie one end of it into a knot about all 2-inch piece and you just take a needle with some heavy thread Mega eyelet and kind of make it in and out weave what you're making is drawstrings and then you slip your hook through that they can put your cheese bait in that and draw the string up and sent you down to your catfish hook and it stays on there for a long time just thought I'd pass it on thank you

  • @SaltySpade
    @SaltySpade 10 ปีที่แล้ว

    Seems like the lines would be likely to tangle if you put a line on each end. Especially if a fish takes it.. I usually use two hooks on one line.

    • @Meattrapper
      @Meattrapper  10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, sometimes the lines do get tangled. That's a great idea about using a single line with multiple hooks!

    I've seen guys in Texas use weed eater line for these noodles. Either way, mine will get wet this weekend!!!

    Nice thinking in general. I hadn't really considered putting two lines on it and leaving them just under the surface but hey why not. As for the video you could have included all relevant information comfortably in 3 mins :). You go on for a while repeating things and especially how you can "use whatever attractant you want" over and over. Are you afraid people wont realize that they don't have to use your exact bait? Anyway gj just cut to the chase for future reference it will make your videos more enjoyable. Thx.

    • @Meattrapper
      @Meattrapper  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      K162KingPin I appreciate the feedback. I do tend to run on and on. This is one of my older videos and hopefully my newer ones are a little better. Another option that I've since used is to use one line but two hooks at different depths.
      This summer I'm going to experiment with stuffing the pvc pipe with catfish cheese. We'll see how that works. Thanks for the feedback sir and thank you for watching.

      The Meat Trapper I use 4 hooks on mine (not legal everywhere) first 2 feet above bottom, then 1 every 5 feet, fishing 30-50 ft water. The nylons you are using I also use but I take bait like a shad and a piece of chicken liver and put in the stocking, sling it around to get it to the end. Then tie teo nots just above the little bait ball you made and cut it in two between them. Now you have most of a stocking still to repeat. You can make about 6 bait balls of whatever you want to put in them with a single stocking so you get 12 for 33 cents. Premake them at the house or on shore makes baiting the jugs got much faster in the water. Now just hook one of these several times and make sure your barb isnt caught in it. Now it extremely difficult for anythjng to steel your bait without being caught. I have 20 jugs out right now. Last night I only had 1 single hook lose the bait without catching a fish out of 80 hooks I have in the water. P.s. I have 3ish lb weight on each jug as an anchor.

      K162KingPin That's great information and I appreciate you sharing it. Great tip on making the most out of the nylons as well. I'm tied up with work right now, but am really looking forward to getting back out on the water in a week or two.
      Good luck and tight lines brother!

    where do you get that reflective tape? I've look in hardware stores like Lowe's and Ace and still can't find any that comes in a roll

    • @Meattrapper
      @Meattrapper  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Cody Wiles Walmart sells some in the automotive section, and you can buy better quality (more reflective tape) at truck stops and places that cater to truckers. Tape that is DOT (Dept of Transportation) approved is much more reflective than the Walmart tape. Here is a link to some on Amazon - this is VERY good tape (but expensive). I use this tape to make trail markers for hunting season: www.amazon.com/Safe-Way-Traction-983-Conspicuity/dp/B00HNYRTU0/ . Hope this helps and thanks for watching!

      keep your eyes peeled on roadsides for old construction barrels they have reflective tape on them,just heat with heat gun and it peels off and can be reused and applied to your noodles

    This is not your best option dont leave the ends open you are going to loose alot of noodles and fish with this method your better off with a 2 liter bottle

      Extreme Southern Couponing I leave my ends open and out of 15 years of jugging I haven't lost a single jug.
      I catch 20-30 fish each time too.

      We don't use the PVC pipe just the noodle and duct tape around the middle and tie on the tape
