I myself don`t drink much alcohol, hence I prefer to not socialize with people who drink a LOT (at least not when they are drunk) I do, however, enjoy the occasional beer or glass of wine. There are a few people who for various reasons (no, they are not muslims, although there are some muslims here as well, of course) don`t drink alcohol-I think most people understand and respect this.
