Anyone wondering, for the red forest location, he's now in the top left of the path of fools, there's a bunch of buildings there. In the left of the compound, there are 6 buildings sort of in a circle, it's in the middle top one, second floor. Also the camp you attack at the end has some cracked monolith guys, about 4-5 which have gauss rifles that one-shotted me with good armour.. ignores the plates too xD and then like 3-5 normal monolith guys with assault rifles

@@MaximumAggro there are multiple locations. i died to a whirly after getting the first 2 books... searching the already searched stashes again, tells you they are empty. found 1-2 extra book stashes at each location. thought at first i fcked up the quest lol
For everyone Who's doing icemans Quest, i managed to keep him alive, ill list out everything i did. Zone one: boathouse (you can find him on a cargo container or truck, can't remember, he's injured) 1. healed him with a normal medkit upon meeting him. 2. told him to join up with a kingpin 3. told him to take it easy on the vodka zone two: photon-2 (you can find him at the bar) 1.told him it's better to make peace. zone three: bar (you can find him by going behind the area with the four merchants at the bar, and turning right, he's on a couch at the far end of that area.) 1. told him i'd get his gun back for the fee plus interest (nets you 25k) 2. told him to get a exosuit 3. i told him it's normal to Feel that way, that time heals all wounds. 4. i then helped him clear out a snork den, told him i thought he killed more than me, and then told him the truth, i'm here about the blue orb. (you can find him in the factory area, between the two transitions to the pitt near the mountian) zone four: dead city (you can find him in the north part of the middle of Dead city, the building ABOVE the town square, he's on the second floor) 1. i told him i wasn't in the mood to guess, and helped him find the books. zone five: path of fools (you can find him in the apartment buildings to the northwestern cluster of buildings, in the north western part of that cluster. in the building that goes left to right on the Righthand side of that north western cluster. you can find him on the second floor) 1. i threatened to cut the balls off the murmur. 2. i then asked the murmer what he's afraid of. 3. i made a deal with the murmer to let him go. 4. i then told him i'd manage by myself. he then told me he'd meet me at the bar after i got the loot. NOTE!: i don't know what if any relation sidequests have, but i've done every bandit sidequest up to the bar area ASIDE from the following: "a simple job" for the scientists, Souls of the dead For captian, The sphere quest for notary (i'm not getting you a candlelight you scammer), i am also onto the part where i am infiltrating the orderly base. i hope this may help others in making the right choices. (Also, for the murmer camp? it's ANYTHING but abandoned and those assholes hit HARD, pack plenty of medical and armor plates, they shattered my level four armor plates Easily)

At the monolith interrogation part I went straight to "cutting the balls off" option and it ended up killing the Iceman, I will never recover from this
For anybody watching this recently that told Iceman to join Cheshire's gang instead of working for Wheezy. After you get Iceman's gun back from Savage at Cheshire's hideout Iceman will mention going to the pit afterwards. He actually just goes to his location at the Roshtok Factory we see after the Bar in Aggro's route.
i did this quest before any english guides came out. after dying to mercs so many times trying to get up there, i was so mad when i found out it was full of psy lol
I chose the choices in red you edited in, and still iceman went on ahead himself and died anyways, so I think the wrong turn for the good ending was somewhere earlier on.
You made sure to follow ask the Monolith Soldier "why didnt you tell Iceman this info" as well? And also did you make sure to follow all the earlier choices I made?
Thank you so much! I just finished the dog tail quest and was shocked to see that your dialogue choices actually make a difference. Luckily I picked all the correct answers so far, as a Monolith fanboy I REALLY wanted this gun. Did you just get that far into the game without ever picking Iceman up from the bus or did you somehow manage to reset your quests?
Yeah I just completely missed him being up there originally. I rarely follow roads as a solo player so I just kept going around him lol. Wasn't till much later in the game that I found him.
Thx for the vid! This was one hell of a journey to get and my first intro to the red forest. It sucks that steam players will probably not get the the russian version with the 60 round mag. Its the reason i never used it after completing the mission. RIP. (Its still worth doing as a quest and personal experience/journey)
does anyone know if icemans location has changed after u talk to him after the dump bc ive been waiting in the bar for over 2 hours and he has not come here ??????
the stages and locations at which you find iceman, either depend on your sidequest choices, your dialog with him, or have been updated.. for me (i sided with cheshires gang and told iceman to team up with them), after photon2, i found him with that gang, instead of at the dump.. (This is where he lost his gun to gambling) after getting it back from the card playing guy there, i told him to get a suit of armor, and he said that he will head towards the pit.. so i expect to find him there next, tho i don't know where.. he's not at the bar for me tho maybe i haven't been patient enough waiting for him to arrive there..
Thank you! Have managed not to die in The Red Forest, used the story exoskeleton with Hellboy backpack (with 2 Snail artifacts, to be able to walk in Psy 2 zones). I did everything as u said in that video, but somehow he went and died at the end, maybe the devs changed it or idk.
Yeah, some people have had him live, and some have had him die, so I'm in the process of going through on another bandit to see what option may have gotten him killed.
Been waiting over an hour for iceman to appear at the bar after talking to him at the dump. the ONLY dialogue option i chose that was different was that i had told him "slang talk doesnt matter and that people will respect him regardless" or whatever dialogue was similar to what i had just quoted, due to a misclick so now im unsure if i failed the quest or not, is there any other spots he can appear at?
Not that I am aware, he can take quite a long time to show up though. I would just go do some farming or something outside of the actual bar and check back later.
@@MaximumAggro He ended up taking between 2 - 3 hours to show up, waited an hour and a half then went and farmed for about an hour and came back and he was there, was really worried but he showed up eventually. thanks for the awesome guide!
I think I messed this quest up completely. I saved him from the dogs, gave him the worst advice/choice options and he has since disappeared from the Boathouse but he will not spawn in at Photon for me? It has been long enough, I did this quest early on and ive since progressed far enough into the story line and still no show at photon. I double checked if I completed anything further by accident in my PDA and it still says I should speak to the Newbie at the boathouse even though he is not there? Has this been the same for anyone else? Thanks in advance! ***EDIT*** He was in a tent injured at Photon 2, cant believe how much the choices really matter in this game! 🤯
I don't think that choice will make a difference. He should still move to the Dead City, it could take a hour or so in real time before he moves though.
I did the den quest a while ago, and I just visited the Dead City location that is shown in you vids, and Iceman isn't there, I will check back again later, thank you for the answer
Hey man, im real late to the party but with the new north update i believe Red Forrest is unreachable. Do you think you could post a guide for the new version?
It seems all if not most of my old videos are now not correct, I have to weigh if I want to remake every single guide again for both factions to be honest.
@@MaximumAggro Even if you don't end up remaking them, I want to let you know your guides have been one of the biggest help to me and all my friends when playing this, even after the update I still recommend them to some people for specific parts that remain unchanged. In part of the community you are a pillar of support for any new player and even returning player struggling with completing quests.
This is quite a bit later but I have completed all the quests for him in photon 2. After that he says he will go to the bar and I have no idea where the dump is. Does he still go to the dump in stalcraft x or does he go somewhere else? I cant find him anywhere
I have the same problem. He's not spawning in the dump for me. Btw The Dump is where Junkman is in the zone north of Photon 2. You can find it when you zoom in the map near one of the factories there. It will have barter symbols where the entrance is.
@@iamgeorgesears I finally found the dump with the help of a friend who was a little behind me in the story quest so he had to go there. Keep in mind that it does take quite a while for him to move locations (in game time 1-2 days for that one). I ended up completing the quest and the murmur sig is well worth it. When you get to the part where this video tells you to go to the red forest he is now in the path of fools in the upper left in those buildings that are roughly in a circle on the second floor middle building.
I don’t think I did have that option but at the end of our dialogue I selected both of the options it gave me to tell him it was a bad idea then it gave me the quest searching for a comrade up at the radio station.

Seem like they changed this quest some too. The dialog was different for me. He gets pissed sayin you dont trust him to do anything cause he is a newb. My choices were , If you say so, and the other was something like your not experienced enough or something pretty much. Now i got a quest in the red forest waitin for iceman. hopefully i didnt mess it up. Gl out there tonight im headin to bed ive died 7 times tryin to get this dang gun lol
Yeah there seems to be a hidden variable somewhere. I have followed a RU guide that showed him living at the end and he still died so I am not sure what the trigger is to be honest.
I already did almost all the Iceman missions just before I could see this video, I guess now if I want to get that keychain I have to start as a bandit from 0 😭😞😞😭😭
@@butitron6702 Yeah there is something that causes him to die for some people and other people he lives at the end. They still got the gun like I did but I am the process of doing it on my 2nd Bandit to try and see what step is the trigger for him living.
Followed your instructions (including the red text part) and he still got killed... Told him to stay put and he got all huffy saying I've done everything for him so far and ran off to die anyway.
Followed all the steps you put in the guide, still had Iceman dead. I think the quest is just bugged and sometimes kills iceman, sometimes doesn't. Still a pretty cool gun though.
I think I just saw saw you in Red Forest, Yeah I even followed a RU guide on my JohnnySalami and he still died so I have no clue why sometimes he dies sometimes he doesnt lol. I have had people tell me they followed my guide and he lived as well so I am lost.
how do you get to the dump? im pretty upset there are no wikis or resources for this awesome game online :( thank you very much for the video just kinda confusing as a noob xD
You just teleport to iceman at the dump and dont show how to get there, google isnt really helping either. *edit - found it above the E in thE dump, please in the future open your map before going into these unmarked places so we know where they are.
I usually try to open my map and show the locations however some of my very old videos I missed a few. I assumed everyone knew what he safe zone at the dump looked like inside and would know that's where I was. My bad.
I cant for the life of me get to ice man in the red forest. i keep dying to radiation and psy even with the quest mockingbird and a 2 artifact bag with a snail and droplet. is there a specific rout that has lower rads or do i need to upgrade my suit more?
I just went and checked again, I did end up having to make the MIS-99 Malachite Scientist suit that has 180 psy to get past the psy 2 zones. I wore the Seekers all the way to the area that had Psy 2 then swapped the Artifact container and Scientist suit in to be able to enter that one spot. I apologize for saying that I used the Seekers Mockingbird the whole time in the comments here.
@@MaximumAggro no problem I noticed the artifacts have a little variation in there stats and I thought that’s what was going on. Glad to know it’s just my suit.
@@ItzYaBoyMeech Yeah and I think in the comments i stated I was wearing the seekers mockingbird so I forgot I had to make that suit just for that one part. So thats on me.
After looking at other videos doing this same quest I noticed that instead of picking "Well, I'm not gonna repeat myself. Iceman , get me a knife" you need to pick "He, bitch, what are you afraid of" this will trigger the "I'll manage by my self. Don't worry about it." option, if you did this correctly you will trigger the ending where Iceman survive. I also noticed that if you pick the "Well, I'm not the gonna myself" option the "I'll manage by my self" dialogue will not appear causing Iceman to go and get the loot by himself causing his death. Btw I haven't tried this yet because I picked the wrong options and now I got the Iceman is dead ending, I'm too lazy to create another character to see if this method does work so just put a comment if this do indeed work to help other people who wants Iceman to survive.
according to my own research this quest had been updated to where iceman only dies at the end (Source: Trust me bro) and just to keep it brief I did the same thing you said But Unfortunately it doesn't work I thought I imagined doing something wrong but my memory doesn't lie to me and if the youtuber did it right just by choosing these options and not working for us now that's something no one can explain not sure if this is only by chance or just by something that effected earlier on but it is what is and the videos I seen there seems to be no hidden trigger but that quest thinks we chose the wrong option and to sum things up there are three Possibilities 1) Its just by chance 2) its bugged 3)Choosing the wrong option (Doubt) these three conclusions had been brought by the research that this fucking sliver looking ass Token made me get Regret and Guilt But Hey time is the only thing that heals you And For The People that Read My Message good luck and pray because this quest loves to screw you at the end for people that want that golden token Good luck.

You done the part in dead city wrong too when you give the books to iceman I done what you said and never got it and watched someone else does something different there.
random question but how did you get the russian voicelines to not play during dialogue? I looked for an option to turn off it off but I couldn't find it

Back at Photon-2 I chose the "Go with Cheshire" choice as not sure if it is the right one. After one hour I don't see Iceman at The Dump. :( Not sure if this is the wrong choice since your vid didn't show that choice for me.
@@MaximumAggro oh hi Max, the choice are different now but it is the same path I think. Instead of The Dump, Iceman went to Cheshire's hidden base. He lost a gun to gambling so choice of winning or buying it. I went with buying it off and same choices. It lead to The Pit of killing the snorks. Will see it later on what happens next. I am work so will continue later if I get it. I think my choices are different because I think Cheshire's quest line before Iceman.
@@MaximumAggro their were actually more, the last one is to go to Godfather and be a bodyguard. This was also because I finished that mission before going to Iceman. It looks like this game has great linked choices and quest.
I know this video is over a year old, but do you know where he goes if you choose the armor option in the bar? He does not go to the snork cave outside of the bar.
@@MaximumAggro Just wanted to say he actually appeared at the Bar after I gave him the dog tails in Photon 2, and he was on the couch. You can go through his dialog normally, but afterwards he disappears from the Bar, and appears at Junkman. That is what threw me off.

Right now just focusing on doing all the Bandit quests (story and side quests) then I will be swapping to the Stalker side and showing them some love by doing all the quests over there.

@@jok3r816 That may be why he joined cheshire, in mine he said he joined wheezy, but wheezy isn't a gang leader in your playthrough anymore since you sided with cheshire. you may still be okay.
@@MaximumAggro the consequences are that Iceman is brave and wants to go for the package alone, which is why he dies, just like in your video. But it doesn't matter anyway, after 4 hours of trying I gave up, there is no way to get to the radar station. in endgame this game doesn't make sense, free for everyone, bandit kills bandit, game gets full pvp, I don't like it very much
when i went to the bar he wasnt there and i waited fora whole day cycle and still hasnt spawned but i chose the right options any idea why he isnt there?
Great video. I currently hate the very last part of the quest... Do you recall what artifacts you used? It might be easier to get those than all of the beta fragments for suit upgrade
I made the KZS-2 and used a Snail (-16.54% Stamina, +11.54% Psy-Emission resistance, -3.96 Psy-Emissions) and Droplet (-8.5% Stamina, -2.4 Radiation) with the Seekers Mockingbird quest armor.

You have to meet with him either way. The only difference is whether you meet him at the bar or in the red forest. This quest is very finicky though, and seems to have a hidden trigger as to if he dies or not.

What's ur current loadout for midgame? I see people bring shotguns for pve but you don't, is it just because you prefer ARs? Or is shotgun not worth it and just pistol is enough and AR/SR for occasional PVP?
The pistol is so broken against mutants I don't ever see the need for the shotgun for the most part. The shotgun is for sure nice against mutants, but every time I have it out I get into a pvp encounter and lose becuase the other guy was at mid range and I had a shotty instead of a rifle of some kind lol.

I just finished the main story quest, so it changed but before that I was rocking the story quest Beretta suppressed, story quest M1A, seekers mocking story quest armor and msbb backpack. I would take the RPD for bosses and such. Oh and the hunters knife.
@@Kasiux I haven't done too much farming in the Red Forest yet, I have pretty much only been up there for quest-lines. That being said I usually head straight north from the Bar->Army Warehouses-> Fools path-> Red Forest. Just be ready since Red Forest is a free for all zone and anyone can kill anyone. You also may want to hold off depending on your current armor since the Red Forest has some higher areas where you will need Rad/bio/psy 2 and 3, unless youre rocking the scientist armors.

Hi so i was following every step but iceman doesnt show up at the bar for me, do i need to progress further in the main story or does it take time for him to spawn there ? Edit: he just arrived after like 4 hours
Yeah his spawn window can be short or super long it seems. I had him spawn in less than an hour on one bandit and like 9 in game hours on the other bandit.
Yeah this quest is buggy as hell. I have done it following a RU guide on my other bandit and he still died, even though in the video I was watching he lived. So I am not sure whats going on with this quest
I do, just didn't need them in this video, it was daylight during all the portions. Maybe the snork cave was a little on the darker side. I do try to use them though if its darker. I will try to be better about cave sections and such in the future.

If youre talking about the dialog all going back to Russian that is something they accidentally broke with the patch that came out a day or so ago. I am not sure when they will fix it
reporting back, still current, but i messed up and picked the wrong option at 17:08 which i shouldve picked "But you really dont have enough experience to travel around the North...", which lead to iceman being dead. I shouldve kept watching the video😔
Don't feel bad. This quest is very wonky and sometimes he dies regardless if you choose the right options. I have done it on a separate character and followed an ru guide and he still died lol
hi MaxminumAggro after i talk with him at Boathouse then past 12hrs in reality. he still dont show up at photon.i dont choose the dailouge u chose cause i dont see the video before.so as i remember i dont choose the join up kingpin.will this affect the mission?
@@oscious2171 That may have been one of the options that gets him killed early on :(. If he doesnt spawn at Photon-2 in the next couple days you may not be able to continue the quest-line.
Nope, so far I haven't seen any comments saying they were dark. In zones that are kind of foggy the NVGs seem to make it look super washed out most of the time. That's the reason I usually don't use them. If people start saying the videos are dark though I can always start using them.
@@MaximumAggro some suits have a NVG with a clear picture. I use a REAPER, he is good for anomalies and has good NVG. Also, 2nd Generation NVG also has a good picture
@@kraibag I have the NVGs that are green instead of yellowish (2nd ones you can craft) . Its only in zones like the pit/dead city/red forest that the fog seems to make the NVGs feel worse to use lol
Yeah I have people who have followed it exactly and some he died for and some he lived for. I still think it's bugged or something since the same choices can give 2 different outcomes lol
i just realized it might have to do with the advice you give him earlier on in the story, also if you complete cheshires gang quest you can tell iceman to join them instead at photon after telling iceman to join cheshire, he is hanging out in the base with savage. you get thegun retrieval quest where your given the option to win 4k from savage in a row, or buy it back for 15k to retrieve icemans aks after that he asks questions, then proceeds to head somewhere north from agro
I honestly havent been back since the update so I am not 100% sure, maybe someone in the comments can say if they have done the quest since the revamp of the swamps.
I've followed this quest exactly what's on the video until the meeting him at the dump, I went to the bar but he wasn't there and I went back to the dump to check but he is not there also. Any clue what happened here?

Yeah some people have been having that result where others haven't I have no idea what the trigger is. I am in the process of doing it on my other bandit and following the video again to see the outcome.
@@BelladoriReigns I did it on another bandit and he died again so I am in the process of doing it one more time to see if its one dialogue option in the Bar area. I think you are supposed to choose the 1st option which is I will loan you the money. I chose I will loan you the money but you have to pay me back with interest. Thats the last option I need to check and see if that is the trigger for him dying. I know all the other ones I made (including the red text in my video) are right so. I will get back to you after I level my other little bandit a bit and let you know.

Yeah I am not sure what the reason for that is, some people following my video have had him live and others have had him die. I even followed the steps from a Russian video on JohnnySalami and he died at the end, even though on the Russian video he lived.
@@MaximumAggro I think it's because we tell him to settle conflicts peacefully earlier in the storyline. He died because he didn't have any experience fighting. Just my thoughts
@@goosedaddy001 According to other peoples guides choosing the other option there gets him killed and you cant obtain the gun at all. I havent tried that since I didnt want to lose out on the gun lol.
@@heyamika6519 Throw the Leupold 2.4 the Sig handguard, the PCLRS underbarrel grip, 40 round mag and if you really wanted a laser. I kind of have stopped running lasers though since they give away my positions through walls and stuff.Can throw a muzzle break or suppressor on it up to your liking.

zone three: bar (you can find him by going behind the area with the four merchants at the bar, and turning right, he's on a couch at the far end of that area.)
1. told him i'd get his gun back for the fee plus interest (nets you 25k)
2. told him to get a exosuit
3. i told him it's normal to Feel that way, that time heals all wounds.
4. i then helped him clear out a snork den, told him i thought he killed more than me, and then told him the truth, i'm here about the blue orb. (you can find him in the factory area, between the two transitions to the pitt near the mountian)
zone four: dead city (you can find him in the north part of the middle of Dead city, the building ABOVE the town square, he's on the second floor)
1. i told him i wasn't in the mood to guess, and helped him find the books.
zone five: path of fools (you can find him in the apartment buildings to the northwestern cluster of buildings, in the north western part of that cluster. in the building that goes left to right on the Righthand side of that north western cluster. you can find him on the second floor)
1. i threatened to cut the balls off the murmur.
2. i then asked the murmer what he's afraid of.
3. i made a deal with the murmer to let him go.
4. i then told him i'd manage by myself.
he then told me he'd meet me at the bar after i got the loot.
NOTE!: i don't know what if any relation sidequests have, but i've done every bandit sidequest up to the bar area ASIDE from the following: "a simple job" for the scientists, Souls of the dead For captian, The sphere quest for notary (i'm not getting you a candlelight you scammer), i am also onto the part where i am infiltrating the orderly base.
i hope this may help others in making the right choices.
(Also, for the murmer camp? it's ANYTHING but abandoned and those assholes hit HARD, pack plenty of medical and armor plates, they shattered my level four armor plates Easily)

For anybody watching this recently that told Iceman to join Cheshire's gang instead of working for Wheezy. After you get Iceman's gun back from Savage at Cheshire's hideout Iceman will mention going to the pit afterwards. He actually just goes to his location at the Roshtok Factory we see after the Bar in Aggro's route.
i did this quest before any english guides came out. after dying to mercs so many times trying to get up there, i was so mad when i found out it was full of psy lol

I chose the choices in red you edited in, and still iceman went on ahead himself and died anyways, so I think the wrong turn for the good ending was somewhere earlier on.
You made sure to follow ask the Monolith Soldier "why didnt you tell Iceman this info" as well?

Thank you so much! I just finished the dog tail quest and was shocked to see that your dialogue choices actually make a difference. Luckily I picked all the correct answers so far, as a Monolith fanboy I REALLY wanted this gun. Did you just get that far into the game without ever picking Iceman up from the bus or did you somehow manage to reset your quests?
Yeah I just completely missed him being up there originally. I rarely follow roads as a solo player so I just kept going around him lol. Wasn't till much later in the game that I found him.
I got to the minstrel main mission before I noticed him. But I believe it’s gonna be worth the effort.

It sucks that steam players will probably not get the the russian version with the 60 round mag. Its the reason i never used it after completing the mission. RIP. (Its still worth doing as a quest and personal experience/journey)

the stages and locations at which you find iceman, either depend on your sidequest choices, your dialog with him, or have been updated.. for me (i sided with cheshires gang and told iceman to team up with them), after photon2, i found him with that gang, instead of at the dump.. (This is where he lost his gun to gambling) after getting it back from the card playing guy there, i told him to get a suit of armor, and he said that he will head towards the pit.. so i expect to find him there next, tho i don't know where.. he's not at the bar for me tho maybe i haven't been patient enough waiting for him to arrive there..
It can take quite a while for him to move between areas so give it a good while.

Have managed not to die in The Red Forest, used the story exoskeleton with Hellboy backpack (with 2 Snail artifacts, to be able to walk in Psy 2 zones).
I did everything as u said in that video, but somehow he went and died at the end, maybe the devs changed it or idk.
Yeah, some people have had him live, and some have had him die, so I'm in the process of going through on another bandit to see what option may have gotten him killed.
Been waiting over an hour for iceman to appear at the bar after talking to him at the dump. the ONLY dialogue option i chose that was different was that i had told him "slang talk doesnt matter and that people will respect him regardless" or whatever dialogue was similar to what i had just quoted, due to a misclick so now im unsure if i failed the quest or not, is there any other spots he can appear at?
Not that I am aware, he can take quite a long time to show up though. I would just go do some farming or something outside of the actual bar and check back later.
@@MaximumAggro He ended up taking between 2 - 3 hours to show up, waited an hour and a half then went and farmed for about an hour and came back and he was there, was really worried but he showed up eventually. thanks for the awesome guide!
I think I messed this quest up completely. I saved him from the dogs, gave him the worst advice/choice options and he has since disappeared from the Boathouse but he will not spawn in at Photon for me? It has been long enough, I did this quest early on and ive since progressed far enough into the story line and still no show at photon. I double checked if I completed anything further by accident in my PDA and it still says I should speak to the Newbie at the boathouse even though he is not there? Has this been the same for anyone else? Thanks in advance!

Last I saw Iceman, he was in that tent in Photon asking for a Heart artifact. I gave him one and haven't seen him since then.
I can't find Iceman on the Dead City after the Into the Den quest, I think I picked the blue sphere option, any idea why? did I mess up?
I don't think that choice will make a difference. He should still move to the Dead City, it could take a hour or so in real time before he moves though.
I did the den quest a while ago, and I just visited the Dead City location that is shown in you vids, and Iceman isn't there, I will check back again later, thank you for the answer

I honestly don't know I always used an army since this quest is very finicky. The smallest thing seems to mess it up lol.
This is quite a bit later but I have completed all the quests for him in photon 2. After that he says he will go to the bar and I have no idea where the dump is. Does he still go to the dump in stalcraft x or does he go somewhere else? I cant find him anywhere
I have the same problem. He's not spawning in the dump for me. Btw The Dump is where Junkman is in the zone north of Photon 2. You can find it when you zoom in the map near one of the factories there. It will have barter symbols where the entrance is.
@@iamgeorgesears I finally found the dump with the help of a friend who was a little behind me in the story quest so he had to go there. Keep in mind that it does take quite a while for him to move locations (in game time 1-2 days for that one). I ended up completing the quest and the murmur sig is well worth it. When you get to the part where this video tells you to go to the red forest he is now in the path of fools in the upper left in those buildings that are roughly in a circle on the second floor middle building.
My choices in the red forest were different second time talking to iceman?
Did you have the option to tell him to let you go alone?
I don’t think I did have that option but at the end of our dialogue I selected both of the options it gave me to tell him it was a bad idea then it gave me the quest searching for a comrade up at the radio station.

Seem like they changed this quest some too. The dialog was different for me. He gets pissed sayin you dont trust him to do anything cause he is a newb. My choices were , If you say so, and the other was something like your not experienced enough or something pretty much. Now i got a quest in the red forest waitin for iceman. hopefully i didnt mess it up. Gl out there tonight im headin to bed ive died 7 times tryin to get this dang gun lol
The text sounds like he may fie on your playthrough but you drill get the gun. Just not the Bandit charm. You get iceman charm instead

@@butitron6702 Yeah there is something that causes him to die for some people and other people he lives at the end. They still got the gun like I did but I am the process of doing it on my 2nd Bandit to try and see what step is the trigger for him living.
Followed your instructions (including the red text part) and he still got killed... Told him to stay put and he got all huffy saying I've done everything for him so far and ran off to die anyway.

I think I just saw saw you in Red Forest, Yeah I even followed a RU guide on my JohnnySalami and he still died so I have no clue why sometimes he dies sometimes he doesnt lol. I have had people tell me they followed my guide and he lived as well so I am lost.

You just teleport to iceman at the dump and dont show how to get there, google isnt really helping either.
*edit - found it above the E in thE dump, please in the future open your map before going into these unmarked places so we know where they are.
I usually try to open my map and show the locations however some of my very old videos I missed a few. I assumed everyone knew what he safe zone at the dump looked like inside and would know that's where I was. My bad.

I cant for the life of me get to ice man in the red forest. i keep dying to radiation and psy even with the quest mockingbird and a 2 artifact bag with a snail and droplet. is there a specific rout that has lower rads or do i need to upgrade my suit more?
I just went and checked again, I did end up having to make the MIS-99 Malachite Scientist suit that has 180 psy to get past the psy 2 zones. I wore the Seekers all the way to the area that had Psy 2 then swapped the Artifact container and Scientist suit in to be able to enter that one spot. I apologize for saying that I used the Seekers Mockingbird the whole time in the comments here.

After looking at other videos doing this same quest I noticed that instead of picking "Well, I'm not gonna repeat myself. Iceman , get me a knife" you need to pick "He, bitch, what are you afraid of" this will trigger the "I'll manage by my self. Don't worry about it." option, if you did this correctly you will trigger the ending where Iceman survive.
I also noticed that if you pick the "Well, I'm not the gonna myself" option the "I'll manage by my self" dialogue will not appear causing Iceman to go and get the loot by himself causing his death.
Btw I haven't tried this yet because I picked the wrong options and now I got the Iceman is dead ending, I'm too lazy to create another character to see if this method does work so just put a comment if this do indeed work to help other people who wants Iceman to survive.
according to my own research this quest had been updated to where iceman only dies at the end (Source: Trust me bro) and just to keep it brief I did the same thing you said But Unfortunately it doesn't work I thought I imagined doing something wrong but my memory doesn't lie to me and if the youtuber did it right just by choosing these options and not working for us now that's something no one can explain not sure if this is only by chance or just by something that effected earlier on but it is what is and the videos I seen there seems to be no hidden trigger but that quest thinks we chose the wrong option and to sum things up there are three Possibilities 1) Its just by chance 2) its bugged 3)Choosing the wrong option (Doubt) these three conclusions had been brought by the research that this fucking sliver looking ass Token made me get Regret and Guilt But Hey time is the only thing that heals you And For The People that Read My Message good luck and pray because this quest loves to screw you at the end for people that want that golden token Good luck.

Back at Photon-2 I chose the "Go with Cheshire" choice as not sure if it is the right one. After one hour I don't see Iceman at The Dump. :( Not sure if this is the wrong choice since your vid didn't show that choice for me.

@@MaximumAggro oh hi Max, the choice are different now but it is the same path I think. Instead of The Dump, Iceman went to Cheshire's hidden base. He lost a gun to gambling so choice of winning or buying it. I went with buying it off and same choices. It lead to The Pit of killing the snorks. Will see it later on what happens next. I am work so will continue later if I get it. I think my choices are different because I think Cheshire's quest line before Iceman.

I know this video is over a year old, but do you know where he goes if you choose the armor option in the bar? He does not go to the snork cave outside of the bar.
I do not. Some options throughout can cause him to die and make the quest unfinishable, but I'm not sure if that is one of them.

@@jok3r816 That may be why he joined cheshire, in mine he said he joined wheezy, but wheezy isn't a gang leader in your playthrough anymore since you sided with cheshire. you may still be okay.
@@MaximumAggro the consequences are that Iceman is brave and wants to go for the package alone, which is why he dies, just like in your video. But it doesn't matter anyway, after 4 hours of trying I gave up, there is no way to get to the radar station. in endgame this game doesn't make sense, free for everyone, bandit kills bandit, game gets full pvp, I don't like it very much

As far as I know there isnt a set time limit for him to spawn, sometimes its fast and sometimes it takes what seems forever for him to show up.

The best thing to do is jutlst continue to play and chevk back periodically since he doesn't seem to be on any real time table

It might be easier to get those than all of the beta fragments for suit upgrade
I made the KZS-2 and used a Snail (-16.54% Stamina, +11.54% Psy-Emission resistance, -3.96 Psy-Emissions) and Droplet (-8.5% Stamina, -2.4 Radiation) with the Seekers Mockingbird quest armor.
The Snail I actually got from this same quest-line I think so that one was free.

So apparently it changed again, the red text didn't work, I still have to meet with Iceman.
You have to meet with him either way. The only difference is whether you meet him at the bar or in the red forest. This quest is very finicky though, and seems to have a hidden trigger as to if he dies or not.

What's ur current loadout for midgame? I see people bring shotguns for pve but you don't, is it just because you prefer ARs?
Or is shotgun not worth it and just pistol is enough and AR/SR for occasional PVP?
The pistol is so broken against mutants I don't ever see the need for the shotgun for the most part. The shotgun is for sure nice against mutants, but every time I have it out I get into a pvp encounter and lose becuase the other guy was at mid range and I had a shotty instead of a rifle of some kind lol.

I just finished the main story quest, so it changed but before that I was rocking the story quest Beretta suppressed, story quest M1A, seekers mocking story quest armor and msbb backpack. I would take the RPD for bosses and such. Oh and the hunters knife.

@@Kasiux I haven't done too much farming in the Red Forest yet, I have pretty much only been up there for quest-lines.
That being said I usually head straight north from the Bar->Army Warehouses-> Fools path-> Red Forest.
Just be ready since Red Forest is a free for all zone and anyone can kill anyone. You also may want to hold off depending on your current armor since the Red Forest has some higher areas where you will need Rad/bio/psy 2 and 3, unless youre rocking the scientist armors.

It's from the main story mission. You get it after the Colonel Vlasov fight. It doesn't come with the suppressor on it, I made that and put it on it.

He's still there. You need to progress the story quest a little bit to get him to spawn though.

Hi so i was following every step but iceman doesnt show up at the bar for me, do i need to progress further in the main story or does it take time for him to spawn there ?

Yeah his spawn window can be short or super long it seems. I had him spawn in less than an hour on one bandit and like 9 in game hours on the other bandit.
minor issue, i did the second option like video said instead of the first, and iceman still went there and died ???
Yeah this quest is buggy as hell. I have done it following a RU guide on my other bandit and he still died, even though in the video I was watching he lived. So I am not sure whats going on with this quest

why do you not use nvgs?
I do, just didn't need them in this video, it was daylight during all the portions. Maybe the snork cave was a little on the darker side. I do try to use them though if its darker. I will try to be better about cave sections and such in the future.

If youre talking about the dialog all going back to Russian that is something they accidentally broke with the patch that came out a day or so ago. I am not sure when they will fix it

It can take quite a while for him to move places in game. There isn't a set time for how long it takes sadly

reporting back, still current, but i messed up and picked the wrong option at 17:08 which i shouldve picked "But you really dont have enough experience to travel around the North...", which lead to iceman being dead. I shouldve kept watching the video😔
Don't feel bad. This quest is very wonky and sometimes he dies regardless if you choose the right options. I have done it on a separate character and followed an ru guide and he still died lol
hi MaxminumAggro after i talk with him at Boathouse then past 12hrs in reality. he still dont show up at photon.i dont choose the dailouge u chose cause i dont see the video before.so as i remember i dont choose the join up kingpin.will this affect the mission?

@@oscious2171 That may have been one of the options that gets him killed early on :(. If he doesnt spawn at Photon-2 in the next couple days you may not be able to continue the quest-line.

Has there been complaints on you vids that's why you dont use NVGs? Because most of the vids have been very dark.
Nope, so far I haven't seen any comments saying they were dark. In zones that are kind of foggy the NVGs seem to make it look super washed out most of the time. That's the reason I usually don't use them. If people start saying the videos are dark though I can always start using them.
@@MaximumAggro some suits have a NVG with a clear picture. I use a REAPER, he is good for anomalies and has good NVG. Also, 2nd Generation NVG also has a good picture
@@kraibag I have the NVGs that are green instead of yellowish (2nd ones you can craft) . Its only in zones like the pit/dead city/red forest that the fog seems to make the NVGs feel worse to use lol

Yeah I have people who have followed it exactly and some he died for and some he lived for. I still think it's bugged or something since the same choices can give 2 different outcomes lol
i just realized it might have to do with the advice you give him earlier on in the story, also if you complete cheshires gang quest you can tell iceman to join them instead at photon
after telling iceman to join cheshire, he is hanging out in the base with savage. you get thegun retrieval quest where your given the option to win 4k from savage in a row, or buy it back for 15k to retrieve icemans aks
after that he asks questions, then proceeds to head somewhere north from agro

I've followed this quest exactly what's on the video until the meeting him at the dump, I went to the bar but he wasn't there and I went back to the dump to check but he is not there also. Any clue what happened here?
It can take a long time for him to show up. It took a few real time hours for him to move from one location to the next for me.

Yeah some people have been having that result where others haven't I have no idea what the trigger is. I am in the process of doing it on my other bandit and following the video again to see the outcome.
@@MaximumAggro is it possibly the type of first aid kit you give him at the VERY start? or one of those dialogue options?
@@BelladoriReigns I did it on another bandit and he died again so I am in the process of doing it one more time to see if its one dialogue option in the Bar area. I think you are supposed to choose the 1st option which is I will loan you the money. I chose I will loan you the money but you have to pay me back with interest. Thats the last option I need to check and see if that is the trigger for him dying.
I know all the other ones I made (including the red text in my video) are right so. I will get back to you after I level my other little bandit a bit and let you know.

Had to make a new suit and use artifacts for the last portion.
@@MaximumAggro Yeah all I need was to take the crate and die but the Psy 2 melts my HP in just 5 seconds. I'll have to upgrade my scientist armor up to 180 psy and bring an artifact

I did everything as you said to do and still got the Iceman token. The "correct" choices were incorrect sadly
Yeah I am not sure what the reason for that is, some people following my video have had him live and others have had him die. I even followed the steps from a Russian video on JohnnySalami and he died at the end, even though on the Russian video he lived.
@@MaximumAggro I think it's because we tell him to settle conflicts peacefully earlier in the storyline. He died because he didn't have any experience fighting. Just my thoughts
@@goosedaddy001 According to other peoples guides choosing the other option there gets him killed and you cant obtain the gun at all. I havent tried that since I didnt want to lose out on the gun lol.

@@heyamika6519 Throw the Leupold 2.4 the Sig handguard, the PCLRS underbarrel grip, 40 round mag and if you really wanted a laser. I kind of have stopped running lasers though since they give away my positions through walls and stuff.Can throw a muzzle break or suppressor on it up to your liking.
