I'm a Leao fan and even though Leao outperformed Kvaratskhelia here, he is also a great player. And let's not forget Napoli did not have Osinhem in the first leg of the UCL. The same is happening now to Milan with Leao injured for the first leg against Inter and see what happened to his team - it got crushed. So maybe with Osinhem, Kvaratskhelia would have shone more. Credit where credit is due.
No man, Leao is alone in Milan attack, if Krava was better, he would win these games. Leao this year with better statistics (goals and assists) is going to be the best player of serie A again (and maybe of the wrold)

When you talk about the Champions League, you forget that almost all the key players of Napoli were missing, they were injured, Osimene, Simeone, Raspadori, Anguias and Kim Min Jae were also missing. And Kvara was the only one of the team who tried until the last minute, and therefore received the highest rating from the team in these matches. It will also be forgotten that this was Kvara's debut season, and he managed to win the MVP of the season, the best young player of the Champions League, a double of goals and assists in the top 5 leagues in his first season. And you are comparing Leao, then remember that Leao had only 6 goals and 8 assists in his first season in Serie A. No one knows what will happen in 3 years. So you are falsely comparing them.. Kvara Clear but respect both of them.

I'm Milan fan, Leao and Kvaratskhelia are both amazing players, almost at the same level. Leao is now an assurance, but kvara is in his first year at a high level, and it has an incredible impact, is already one of the strongest out there.

Dude, shit was super easy for Leao, Milan had infinite possibilities of counter attacks cause Napoli played offensive all the 180 minutes, shooting 31 times without scoring while Milan scored at their first attempts so the balance of the game was always in their favour. Leao just did 2-3 good counter attacks and Milan managed to score, luckily for him/them.
The real hero is Kvara, who had to face 3 defenders a time and still managed to pass between them in many occasions, almost scoring and assisting multiple times in the most difficult match of the season for Napoli. On the other hand, no particular tactics were made against Leao, everything seemed to click for Milan but we all saw what he did against Inter in semis where Inter scored at the first attempt, with the match under their control. Without some open space, Leao is “just” a great player. Kvara is always phenomenal. Football fans are really superficial, they just watch the results.
defenders are starting to know kwara and he is less effective recently. Still incredible player, very consistent within the game. But even without space Leao will find a way to pass by the defense, three steps one shot is all he need; you know what they say about Italian teams, how much they defend, well he doesn't seem to struggle that much when smaller clubs park the bus. Although he could probably benefit from the big spacesnthat there are run the PL, and do even better. Check out his goal against inter in the only derby Milan won this season. In many other occasions you'd see him dribble successfully in very tight spaces. Look at his last goal, yes he can flip a defensive play into an attacking chance effortlessly but then he also elegantly dribbles the last defenders and the keeper. Dude is phenomenal.
@@jonathanrao6498 Kvara was less effective cause Napoli won the Scudetto 2 months prior the end of the season. Till march/april he was unstoppable. Dude just did too much to be real, in fact he won Serie A Player of the Year without scoring or assisting for two months straight. 3 Player of the month, more than 10 goals and 10 assists, breaking defences and changing matches by his own, all of this while being his first season in Serie A or any other top league. Btw he didn’t stop performing, he didn’t score or assist but he’s been dangerous creating chances as usual. Leao is great but there’s a reason why is not man-marked by 3 opponent players every single match.

Leao won last year's MVP, everyone knows how dangerous he is, and stopping him is all you have to do as he is carrying Milan's attack all by himself.The fact that you believe that he does not get any different treatment from the opponents' defense compared to Kvara only shows how little you have seen him play tbh. Another reason why you might not see him with all those defenders around is that he is too quick for them. You can compare leao and Kvara all day long, they're different players but what I can say for sure is that there is no absolute way that Calabria can stop leao all those times he has stopped Kvara in ALL 5 games we had this season. Kvara is still very good, he passed some times (and Calabria is not Maldini).
@@jonathanrao6498 the fact that people still remember that one time a defender was able to stop Kvara a few times just show you how unstoppable he is. “There’s absolute no way Calabria could stop Leao..” actually Kvara destroyed defenders much stronger than Calabria during all season, just like Leao was stopped by worse defenders so you’re conclusion is very misleading. I tell you this, there’s absolute no way Leao could have dribbled between 3 defenders in tight spaces like Kvara did all season (or even in that match against Milan). Leao is a beast, but Kvara is more like a Messi/R9/Henry type, while Leao is more like Mbappè/Bale. Two stellar players, probably the two best from Serie A but I see much more class and technique in Kvara.

Leao's first season in Serie A with 6 goals and 8 assists, Kvara's debut season with 12 goals and 14 assists. One of the outstanding players in the top 5 leagues to have a double in goals and assists, as well as the only player in Serie A history to win the potm three times. He became MVP in his debut season. And the best young player of the Champions League. So it is clear who is better

And again, even as a Milan fan ever since a kid at 12, when I officially became a Milan fan instead of Napoli's, at the start of the season 1992/93 (cuz I was watching football religiously, throughout the continent, for at least 2 or 3 years before that historic moment for me, and there was a huge dilemma, whether I'm becoming an El Diego's Napoli supporter, or AC Milan's of the "3 Flying Dutchmen" + Baresi & Maldini), when the footballing genius, and my absolutely most favorite footballer, Dejan Savicevic, joined the Devils... however, I must admit that saying Rafa "destroyed" Kvara , is a bit off the chart!
Yes, with the very draw in the 2nd face-off, Milan passed through towards the semi-finals, where something I was writing in the blogs and articles previously, happened! Milan lost from Inter! And that is - the rational conclusion to which I had come to, before the first match between Milan & Napol.
That is... If Milan wins, Inter would play in the finals, if Napoli win's , Napoli will play in the finals (which would've been the BEST UCL FINAL in years, between the two best, most attractive teams in all of Europe for the whole season, a duel between the 2 best strikers in the world, etc, etc...!) and they might have win it as well! WHY?!?
Well, the subject requires quite a number of words and a justifiable proof, but given this is a TH-cam comment, I'll do my best to be as brief as possible!
If you've been watching & following Serie A as I have, for 30 years, and have a good knowledge of psychology and the way the human brain works, how the character responds... you wouldn't have been able not to miss one crucial feature amongst all of these three Serie A teams, the strongest & most important nowadays, and for decades previously, throughout the whole history of the Italian football.
Regardless of the form and the quality that Napoli has at a given moment, as it was the last full season on the pitch, being a full class better than Milan (and all of the others), there's this feeling which these 2 teams have between and towards one another since "forever|, and it'll probably remain so... Milan is capable of "placing" this attitude (and I must say - although some will undoubtedly say I'm bias - quite with a respecting manner) that they are always the better, the best club, and no matter how great Napoli are, Milan will always do better. And this open & well known attitude is quite well familiar and known amongst the Napoli players & fans as well. It's even embedded in their minds! And THAT'S "THE THING" which many times give Milan the edge, the advantage at moments, if you will. Truly believing in it, and that;s how they psychologically get into the Napoli face-offs, each time!
On the other hand, when it comes to Napoli playing vs Inter, their (Partenopei's) attitude is the quite opposite! They don't give damn about them, see them as nothing but a "posh club" from the North, who is their "regular patient". Beating them - practically - whenever they want to, on a regular basis! Therefore, Napoli holds ZERO RESPECT for the Neroverdi, and feel & know they are the better team (as they were last season, and ARE now), thus, take their scalp on a regular basis. And I'm 99,9% sure that would've been the outcome of that duel, had they played those semis, and Napoli would've been in the finals in Constantinopol.
And finally, we have Inter & Milan, as we truly did. Unfortunately, in the last (almost) decade & a half, Milan have lost their edge COMPLETELY, and became "regular patients", losing between 80% and 90% of the face-offs! And as I began this "small explanation", even before the first match between AC Milan Vs. Napoli, I knew if Milan wins this one, they will lose from Inter (for several reasons in which I won't get into, now).
Thus, no matter how much I enjoyed this win against a much stronger opponent (that deserved to go towards the finals Vs M-City), I was perfectly aware of the inevitable, Thus I'm just wondering: "HOW MUCH THAT POOR PENALTY WEIGHS ON KVARA'S CONSCIENCE?"
Which is why, HE WASN'T COMPLETELY DESTROYED BY RAFA, BUT DID IT TO HIMSELF, AND WITH IT, TO THE ENTIRE NAPOLI TEAM, WITH THE TWO 1000% CHANCES DURING THE MATCH - (practically "tap ins", or "sit-ups", if you will), which he created himself, from extremely difficult situations, yet f**ked up the final touch - AND FINALLY WITH THE HORRIBLE PENALTY HE TOOK!

leao is used to play more than 40 games by season in the last 4 years with Milan in high level and he know very good the italian atmosphere and europe.
Kvara last season played 11 games in very low level and before that he never played more than 30games in russia
but last season he come to the hardest tactical league and he choose Napoli the city of football...

Kvara come from 11 games in gorgia to 52 in very high level with 19goals and 20DP and become the key of the team its not easy and rare for football history.
