Should be noted you’re sat in one of the worst areas of the ground atmosphere wise, our home atmosphere is always shite but they really stepped up today.
Watching this in the pub I was quite chill, as we looked so composed & controlled the game despite them having greater possession, plus the pitchside mics weren't doing a great job of picking up the atmosphere (or perhaps the pub's tv audio setup was suboptimal). Watching this a full three days later and I actually felt the tension during added time and got a bit teary eyed with the roar and release of the fulltime whistle. I'd read plenty of fans saying how incredible the atmosphere was inside the ground, including plenty of Ippos admitting we were loud/the loudest they'd heard us, but now I could experience it via your footage. So thanks for that, you've earnt yourself another sub to help you on the way to your goal.
@@onelhernandez2289 “known to have a very poor atmosphere”. Eh? It’s had a whole block as a designated singing section for last season and this season is safe standing. What are you talking about?
Excellent video. Good on you for giving perspectives from both sides, both at Portman Rd and Carrow Road. It is an under rated derby and it is east Anglian folk who know it’s a lot more than what people think it is.
I like Carrow Road, went to see them play Leicester midweek back in September as a neutral as i was staying in the city for a couple of days, good ground and fans, plenty of nice places to eat and drink before the game.
Imagine the atmosphere with 31000 in that stadium when it was much smaller. both ends were standing only and single level of course. Wednesday, 31. March 1976. Norwich 1 Ipswich nil. With the low corrugated iron roof and same construction walls on the Barclay , the noise would bounce back and forth making it louder than many bigger stands at other clubs. Now it’s sit down and be nice, well not quite 😂
Great video had to give my season ticket up for next season and due to work not been able to go this season so great to see these types of videos from the stands

Why are there no Ipswich fans? I know it's a home game, but there should be some away fans. In AFL (Australia) you get a decent amount of Away fans for some games. (On rare occasions away fans outnumber home fans).
Well done mate - you were as neutral as you could be! But I think you was starting to sway a bit towards the yellow side of East Anglia! I know what its like, in 1967 I came to my first football math as a seven year old, not having really followed football up to watching the 1966 world cup on TV. One city match in and I was hooked, but never wavered from that path, even with a Yorkshire dad who was die hard Leeds Utd!
