    Had a stash of Hilton points. Used them in Hua Hin Thailand. Think it was 25k points a night. And with 5th free it was a nice redemption. Stayed in Hilton Hua Hin for over a month of nights spread . Free breakfast with Gold and a nice one at that. Great gym and pool. You get so much value from these points in SE Asia. Good video . I don’t have the Aspire yet. But soon enough I’ll get it and have the trifecta.

      Wow that sounds like an amazing redemption! SE Asia is the best place for hotel redemptions, so many nice properties for cheap. A month tho with breakfast included? Can’t beat that. Thanks for watching!

    Hilton Cards are so underrated and Status can be more valuable than most people think again just really depending on travel preferences. Hilton Trifecta could be worth it for people with the use of the FNC on the Surpass or simply liquidating that Credit. Loved the strategy section for redeeming points at high value as well as those FNCs as well. Great video Cody!

      Thanks for watching Matt! Hilton status is definitely clutch, I really like the food and beverage credit you get as it’s much more consistent compared to others. Gotta use those FNCs for nice/unique stays!

      I’m a non rev traveler and I get super affordable flights and rental cars.
      Hotels are my biggest cost.
      Most of my traveling is domestically.
      Do you think the Hilton surpass card is my best option.
      I only got 1 other credit card Amazon.
      Thanks for any input

      @@jackoconnell1852 I think if you can stay at hiltons every quarter and value the breakfast credit you’d get with gold status then the surpass is definitely one of the best cheaper options for you. There’s of course more expensive cards like the aspire or Marriott brilliant that provide other benefits but if you want something simpler and cheap and you travel enough to organically use the surpass quarterly credit then I for sure recommend that! Some other cheap keeper hotel cards include the IHG Premier and Marriott boundless but the main benefit is 1 free night and they don’t really help with breakfast on property. Double check what properties you normally stay at or at least make sure Hiltons are available for the locations you visit. If you don’t have a referral to use, check out Matt’s channel for one since I don’t have them! Just make sure it’s the same elevated offer

      LMAO Ritz is still my dawg don’t you worry, that’s why Hilton was on the back burner 😂 but these Hilton subs are crazy and could cover a whole 2 week trip I can’t help it

    Me and the family are Hilton Loyalist. My P2 is doing this grabbing her Hilton Honors and Surpass 👍🏼 Hoping I can apply and get the SUB for the Surpass before it expires if I can find a way to get out of pop up jail.
    To much value to pass up 👍🏼

      The honors and surpass SUBs are just too good, especially when you’re a Hilton loyalist! Pop up jail can ruin that fun tho, hopefully you can get out!

    The Hilton Honors cards are great cards for anyone who likes Hilton properties and anyone who likes to travel and stay in hotels. I have stayed in several Hilton properties and I have never been disappointed with my stays in any of their hotels. In March of 2023, I got the Hilton Honors card when it had a 100,000 point welcome offer. Last summer, I did try to apply for the Hilton Surpass card for the free night reward in the welcome offer and I found out I was in Amex pop-up jail. Next month, I will probably try to apply for the card again to attempt to get the FNR. Eventually I would like to get all three cards and hopefully some upgrade offers in between. Great video!

      Definitely some great cards for people who frequent hotels! Pop up jail is something that can’t be forgotten, the most annoying thing from Amex 😭 here’s to hoping you’re out of PUJ and get approved!

    I may or may not be picking these cards up in the near future! Great tips here Cody! This is a great opportunity to pick up some additional Hilton FNCs that are normally much harder to get unless you have an Aspire!

      Much appreciated Stan! I think getting both the Honors and Surpass with the FNC can unlock some great opportunities for people who don’t have the aspire

    What you forgot to mention is all the extra credits you get with both cards.
    Hilton Aspire $550 per year
    - One free night per year on anniversary day
    - $200 Jan-June Hilton Resort Credit
    - $200 July-Dec Hilton Resort Credit
    - $189 Clear Plus Credit PCY
    - $50 Jan-March in Flight Credit
    - $50 April-June in Flight Credit
    - $50 July-Sept in Flight Credit
    - $50 October-Dec in Flight Credit
    Surpass $200 hotel credit. More than offsets, both cards annual fee. Not to mention that you get another free night on the surpass when you spend 15,000.

    • @Cody.Little
      @Cody.Little  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The credits that come with the surpass and aspire can definitely make up the annual fee if you can use all of them! As I mentioned in the video tho, I was solely focusing on the 1st year welcome offers(and the aspire FNC) and how basically anyone can get great value with them. But including the credits, it’s even better value!

    Great tip on extending the spend to have the free night certificates at the same time

    Hilton points are on sale right now for 100%. Do you recommend buying points when they are on sale? Is it worth it?

    • @Cody.Little
      @Cody.Little  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It depends, I would only consider buying Hilton points when they are on sale like they are now, but even then I probably would only buy them if I had a specific redemption in mind. I would do the math by going to the check out screen for a stay and see the final price, then compare that to how much it costs to buy enough points to cover that same stay. Go with whichever option is cheaper, but remember you also won’t be earning points with a point redemption like you would with cash. I actually made a video on when you should buy points but used Hyatt as the example, feel free to check it out!

      Thank you for your fast and detailed answer. I really appreciate it and will do the math.
