The premier division and the first division are leagues which are similar in quality to league two but facilities and grounds are like 70's football standards! @@LordZontar Lol, calm yourself kid; I'm an Arsenal fan for over 25 years and for life and haven't seen a Major trophy for over 15 of those now.
      Well, 'those' people can do what they want - but then Dortmund were once largely fan driven and so are Eibar and FC St Pauli and they're all the Top Divisions of their Leagues.
      There's one thing being passionate, loyal and ambitious, and the other being a zealous partisan idiot nobody outfit

    • @LordZontar
      @LordZontar 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@netweed09 And who says FCUM is an "idiot nobody outfit"? You? Because they're not big like Arsenal? And just what makes you passionate for Arsenal? What makes you live and die with the club even though it's floundering in the middle of the Premiership table and hasn't won major silverware in more than a decade? Well, that's why the FCUM fans are committed to their side, for the same emotional reasons. It doesn't matter that they're not in the top flight. It's the club they found a connection with. Same as you found your connection to the Gunners and will stick with them even if they fall through the lower divisions. Because they're your side, and a true supporter sticks with his side no matter what. I know what that's like. I grew up with a local NFL team that knew nothing but losing seasons year after year after year when nothing seemed to work. But they were my team and I stuck with them even through those appalling years of endless misery, of being the joke of the league, when four wins was considered a "good" season. And that's why you are committed to Arsenal and the FCUM fans are committed to their side. Once a team really hooks you in the heart, there's little else you can do.

    to be able to their own ground without any investment from rich businessmen or the council, all from fan given donations is very impressive to be honest. Even when they were in the 10th tier of English football, most of the players had a song sung about them. To be playing at that level and having as many 6,000 singing your name must have been surreal

    Do a documentary on Hinckley AFC, used to be called Hinckley United but this absolute arsehole took over and made the club go in debt and eventually we folded 😔 but last year Hinckley AFC was created and in their first season they had a 26 game unbeaten run and a finished 3rd in their league, we also get about 200 fans each game which is great for our league because we are in the Midland League Division One. Thanks for reading....

      The club was made as a protest club against the glazers and modern football. Football clubs nowadays have ticket prices that working class people can't afford and owners who don't care about the fans. We don't hate Manchester United we hate the glazers. Two uniteds but the soul is one. You'll find that some FC fans still support man utd but won't give any money to the glazers.

      +Nordic Countries are the best you don't understand, the colours green and gold weren't associated with glazer before 2010. They wanted to keep a "United" feel, red black and white

    Hate Manchester United & City, but if i lived locally could easily see myself going along to see these guys, grassroots footballs where its at, where it's still about the football and the fans, not just about the money. I wish the Prem could be more like this, with more fan owned teams, instead of foreign investors that don't give a fuck about the history or meaning of the club just there own profits.
    And before anyone tells me that it's not possible, just look at the Bundesliga where most of the clubs (who are outperforming ours in Europe as of recent) are completely fan owned, their terraces are full of impassioned fans because they have a real say in their clubs making them feel more connected and just makes a nicer vibe

      It was less of a one day thing, it had started in the mid nineties when fans were told to sit down apart from in moments of excitement at an arsenal game. It caused a massive uproar and led to the formation of supporters groups like IMUSA and MUST. The slow decline in atmospheres, the increases in ticket prices, kick off times being moved at a minutes notice, sky's poisoning influence and the complete lack of relation to the players or the club, Glazer was just the straw that broke the camels back. It's a common misconception that everyone hates United at FC. That's not true, we just will never pay another penny to the glazers as we believe it's a penny more towards the money hungry businessmen who've taken over our game. We've got something that's ours, something that we are in control of. It's a scale, some will never support united again and believe United doing badly is better because it means less money for the glazers, some still are season ticket holders at OT and come to fc games for the atmosphere. Others like myself, and I believe the vast majority of fans, support United, want them to do well, but FC is our club now.

    • @paulmurphy4723
      @paulmurphy4723 9 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Prolix8 if you ever went to an FC match on a day that Utd were on the tv before or after kick off, you'd notice that the pubs are rammed, with people who still support Utd.
      no one stopped supporting Utd, they just chose not to be a part of the disease that is modern 'top flight' football.
      as the italians say, No Al Calcio Moderno.
      all we need in this country is for the bubble to burst, just as it did in the once booming Serie A. then clubs will start treating people like fans again, and not customers. maybe.
