@ I’m talking flagship versus flagship. Did you see the one for any of the recent Corvette Z06s? Neither did I. It makes it even worse that Chevrolet took the time to do one for the ZL1 but not for the Z06.
For people who don’t understand how monumental this is I’ll explain some. Mustang has a front mounted engine which is a HUGE disadvantage especially while at a track like this know to have a crazy amount of turns. The reason is because the responsiveness from engine to rear tires. Read mounted engines have an advantage like Porsches bc obviously the power doesn’t have to travel far to get to the rear wheels. The way mustang could combat this disadvantage is by having more power (which they did) and also BETTER suspension. Absolutely amazed by Ford rn. I’m a Chevy guy but oh man do I want a mustang rn 🎉. Much love boys! Thank you for making the U.S proud. There’s some improvements they can do with the suspension. Also trying to get more responsiveness out of that engine. Either way they did something America has never done.
It is glad to see that there are companies which are still trying to describe the experience of speed in their way and haven't lost the essence of speed. Congratulations, Ford Team for such an achievement!

I remember when the first time I payed attention to this track. It was when the 2014/15 Z28 Camaro made a return. The GM engineers said if it does not make the car faster, it does not go on the car. Track times, it was always compared to the Porsche 911, every vehicle was always compared to this. And I’m a little bias, since I own a 74 Z28. I never liked late models, but I love my 74 Z28. And then the 2014/15 Z28. I wanted one, can’t afford it, still want one. Always liked the Mustang, the 2000 Cobra R, Laguna Seca, the Boss 302, But this car. This GTD. That’s dam fast.

As an owner of three Ford vehicles, one being an S550 Mustang, this makes me proud to be a part of the Ford family. Hopefully they never give into the EV stuff. America wants high-powered muscle cars always have always will.
from the road to the ring to the track to the king
6:57 in wet conditions is actually insane
What wet conditions are you talking about? There were some damp patches, but definitely not a wet track
Bruh...? Water on the track is, by definition, a wet track.
@@MrAllDay2u The media shots where there is water on the track are done on a different time/day. If you look at the onboard the track is almost completely dry
@@heamees4822 Look at the track its damp?? so your saying a damp cold track isn't any different to a dry warm track? the cope is real
Media shots are Oct 1st, lap time is august 7 as written on the board
congratulations FORD it truly puts a warmth in my heart as a 29 year old that got his first mustang in 2018 and has a s550 gt now!! KEEP GOING! YOU WILL REACH NEW HIGHTS! i will build my gt too what i truly want one day it will be complete !
Congratulations to Ford! And congratulations to their management team for having the guts and integrity to post actual times of their car on the Nurburgring, unlike the wimps at Chevrolet who never release official laptops for their “track specials”. If they actually release the Ring time for the ZR1, it will be ONLY because of you guys doing it first with this car. They still haven’t done it for the Z06, 2 years into production.
Uhhh, did you miss the zl1 1le chevrolet lap time video??
@ I’m talking flagship versus flagship. Did you see the one for any of the recent Corvette Z06s? Neither did I. It makes it even worse that Chevrolet took the time to do one for the ZL1 but not for the Z06.
3:20 when decision makers not just feel, but know what should be done. Thank you so much
How can you not be emotional about this! Congratulations Ford Performance and everyone involved, you've created a truly special car.
Super cool, great video for a great car. Congratulations Ford
Thank you for this epic vidéo and of course for this monster you build
As a Ford and Mustang lover, I highly appreciate Ford's challenge! I'm delighted to hear that Mustang completed the Nürburgring in under 7 minutes!🐎🔥👏
The Mustang GTD is also the fastest and first FR car to achieve a sub-7 on the Nordschleife.
2004 BMW's Le Mans SUV driven by Hans Stuck 7:50 lap. V12 front engine, rear wheel drive.
It is glad to see that there are companies which are still trying to describe the experience of speed in their way and haven't lost the essence of speed.
Congratulations, Ford Team for such an achievement!
I love my GT S550! Let's go!!!!!!
From the road to the ring to the pen to the king

FORD IS COOKING🔥
Congrats to that team, they've accomplished something incredible! The GTD looks amazing
Nice Ford!! That's what we call the spirit 👏🏼
We are here for this energy.
Thank you, Ford, for making the best muscle car, sports car, and a record-breaking car dedicated to writing history. It is the proud Ford Mustang.@@ford
I finally bought myself a Mustang last year. After being a fan of Mustang's since I was a little kid.
This makes me so proud man. 😊
Nothing beats the feeling of the raw power from a V8 Mustang. Thank you Ford.
Absolute Cinema
Let’s also give credit to the editors to this special film 🎉🎉 let’s go Ford!!!
6:57 in sub optimal conditions
Wow just wow I was so happy When i first heard of the gtd setting a 7 sub sec lap time and actually making the mustang a track oriented car and when i haerd u guys set the 6:57.685 lap time it blew my mind and i hope u guys continue to strive and show why the mustang is the king of the road and the gtd team did a phenomenal job on makeing this beast of a machine.
Compare the footage of the gt3rs lap and this gtd the weather was completely different. The wet track is a time killer. We will wait and see what time it will be in optimal weather conditions
This would make an incredible film/movie
Congrats Ford
this will make a man cry
The Ultimate Horse - Great to see! Big congratulations from a Porsche Guy 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I can’t wait to watch this at December 10. Ford I love your company if you want to make Hebert ford proud better engine and better torque for the trucks and suv and better mpg.
I can't describe my feelings after watching this; It's really incredible to watch it.
Well done Ford Performance, from a GT350 driver
Congrats from a fellow Mustang owner. GTD awesomeness🎉
Those conditions man, hope you'll come back, a sub 6'50 is possible, 1st the Viper now this, man the Nurburgring doesn't go easy on Murica xD
Always liked the Mustang, the 2000 Cobra R, Laguna Seca, the Boss 302,
But this car. This GTD. That’s dam fast.
