Aren't you referring to removal of the burr shaft? I think voyciu is asking about aligning the outer burr by removing the collar around it. I have never had success with that process-I have not been able to remove the collar as it is very tightly screwed on! It has been long since you posted this vid, but I recommend emailing 1zpresso to ask what about their factory alignment. Your grinder's burrs should have been factory-aligned for no burr-rub at a specific grind setting. Only 1zpresso can tell you what that setting is. I believe they give a 1-year warranty for their grinders, so they should align yours if it is within that period.
@@ExtractionFaction Word for word response from 1ZPRESSO: The outer ring and the burr were built with precision finishing, so it is expected that there will be some tolerance as the first few clicks of the outer ring and burr make contact. The tolerance range of the J-Ultra grinder is within 60 clicks, for your reference. 1ZPRESSO's 'precision finishing' is giving me 'some tolerance' of 60 clicks x 8 microns per click which is roughly 0.5mm. No wonder I've been trying to dial in with 'some tolerance' of success. I'm still calling it hit and miss.
Dude. Hold finger against bottom
To move it
