    Pretty prescient about Kanye if this is from 2020. I don't remember if the warning signs were that clear three years ago

      Yeah, Kanye said way back when that if they wrote a new bible today he would be Jesus.
      I think he was always tapped, but losing his mother definitely seems to be the nudge that sent him over the edge.

    Hello from India.
    Loved the in-depth podcast. Only one thing to add here. The swastika symbol is a super ancient Hindu symbol, a symbol of prosperity when drawn straight. Tilt it as in Italics font and there you have the nazi swastika. It's unfortunate that Hitler used this symbol because it was a super auspicious Hindu symbol since waaaaay before Hitler was born.

    • @DipayanPyne94
      @DipayanPyne94 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      It's not just a Hindu symbol. It's an Indo-European symbol. Some other cultures also had the symbol, back in the day.

    31:00 I think the reason for Hitler being such a casual answer was because at least in the 90's and early 2000's the name was basically a synonym for someone who's strict. Every class had one teacher who'd be designated the title Hitler. Have only reached halfway and will have to continue tomorrow cause it's pretty late here. Cheers and great work!

    I was wondering where Madi is now, turns out he's still in power and just enacted a citizenship bill that excludes Muslims. So that's... bad.

    • @Tathagata-eo5tz
      @Tathagata-eo5tz 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      CAA basically gives citizenship to persecuted non-Muslims (Note: including Christians, Zoroastrians and Jews) who were and still are persecuted on religious basis and who could not escape Muslim lands of South Asia during partition. It makes absolutely zero sense to grant citizenship to Muslims from Muslim lands cause there is simply no persecution on the basis of Islam.

      @MrGksarathy 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Tathagata-eo5tzI hate it when you types have Buddhist account names. Also, what about the millions of Indian Muslims suddenly denied citizenship by the NRC while not immediately regranted it via the CAA like everyone else?

    • @Tathagata-eo5tz
      @Tathagata-eo5tz 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@MrGksarathy : It is unfortunate if any valid Indian Muslim gets their citizenship denied by NRC and they should be regranted citizenship with some monetary compensation or much better NRC must be implemented properly such that such cases do not happen in the first place. Anyway, my name is not a proper Buddhist name rather it is an adjective which was given to many others before the birth and even after the death of Siddhartha Gautama.

    • @MrGksarathy
      @MrGksarathy 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Tathagata-eo5tz Fair enough on that last part, though I have never seen tathāgata used in a Hindu context, even if it would make sense.
      That being said, the idea of a better NRC is laughable because it's whole purpose was to stealthily deny Muslims citizenship by denying all refugee citizenship, and the CAA was the way to ensure it only affected Muslims.

    It is important to note that the SWASTIKA is an ancient Hindu symbol thousands of years older than the Nazi symbol which is actually called the HakenKreutz, not swastika.
    The Swastika sits vertical, while the hakenkreutz is tilted at 45°.

Many of teb people who were burnt alive were children too. bro this like episode 110 of a podcast structured as the host specifically bringing a guest (usually a comedian) who doesn't know anything about the topic and narrating the story to them while bantering so that it's also a little fun not just a depressing wikipedia article. If you just want a boring rundown of the history go to Wikipedia and don't be annoying.
