This is AMAZING. How did I miss this track back in the day?! It's not often that I find some gem from back in the good ol' days that I've never heard... this MADE MY DAY, baby! XOXO
Hi my Musical 🎶 Friend! Thanks for sharing this Fascinant Sound of the Genuine Sound House of NY!!! Hope what You Have a Sweet and Blessed House Wednesday! expased!! Julius Dj 💿 💿 💿
I'm also very keen to figure out where the vocals are from? Were they recorded especially for this track? Or possibly sampled. It really sounds like Loleatta Holloway's voice. Can anyone help?
Julian Firkins pretty sure the closest you'll get to the original vocal is: Ellis D 'My Loleatta' on Minimal Records. There's a great story about the original tape recording of the performance, the procuring of it to Junior Vasquez, I'm guessing that this is from the original tape loop, and that Danny T worked his mojo to get his hands on it.
Lifted wholesale from the acapella of Linda Clifford's Whatcha Gonna Do. Pretty great re-working though, I like this version better than the original www.discogs.com/sell/release/692282?ev=rb&page=2

Sounds like Linda Clifford, but gonna have to dig in the crates in hopes of finding the song.
