I'm so satisfied for you. I feel like there are a million songs like this that I'm still missing even though I can't remember what they sound like or where they're from, if that makes sense lol
Replaying this game is going to be one of my giddiest joy of being a kid again. 😊 Time to bust out the o'l ps1 and disc. Even after decades, both are still preserved in stable condition to be fully functional despite how old both are. Treasured memories will never be abandoned.
@@skonafid in Spyro 2 in cloud temples you can use the ice breath but it limited unlike this one. In enter the dragonfly, you can get ice breath in that game.
That's actually due to Stewart Copeland co-composing with another composer, Ryan Beveridge. Beveridge had a matkedly different compositional style to Copeland, and it made for a much more vibrant OST than Spyro 1 or 2.
about a year ago i got my girlfriend to play through the reignited trillogy, obviously wanting to show her a peak into my early childhood from the ps1 spyros. i had played reignited when it came out but it was on a vacation and i was pretty much drunk off my ass the entire playthrough so i didnt remember much, but when i got my girlfriend to play it was a fully different experience. Seeing the games through the eyes of a completlly new player brought back alot of old memories. There were alot of memorable moments and songs throughout her playthrough that hit pretty hard in the "wow, im no longer a 5 year old" department. But then she got to this level and the flute kicked in, and i had forgotten how much i liked this song. it was hard to hold back tears. Shes sitting there smiling and laughing and having fun and im trying to not sob
" When I get my flippers on that rotten bear", " brrr, I don't know why but I feel really cold". They kind of reminded me of Harry Shearers voice for Mr Burns in The Simpsons.
This is probly my fav song on this game! This song and Sheila's Alp. This level was short but so awesome. I loved melting the giant snowmen with a laser lol. The mini game was great also. Playing a round of cat hockey lol.
From start to finish this song gives me tears of pure nostalgia and goosebumps!! I adore this song! The music throughout the whole game was immersive and impressive it felt like you were actually in the worlds!!
Chill penguins. Beautiful ice faeries. Evil giant snowmen. Mammoths. Frying things with a giant laser. Also ice Incan Structures. One of my fave levels. :)
I hope I’m not the only one who thinks that this song is very Rugrats-esque, idk what it is but I hear the theme song every time especially around 0:44 to 0:55. It’s one of my favorites from YOTD and always makes me feel like I’m back in my childhood
love this music this for me was much better then the remasterd version to me if only someone can extened this music to a whole hour you cant beat the original music ps1 classics
Bro, ok so the second time i went to this level of the game i forgot you could lazer beam the snowmen so when i ran up to one of them to attack them they just picked me up and fucking tossed me like it was nothing lmao 🤣😂
@@3godzilla3 I would always get into that cycle where he just hits you repeatedly and you can't do anything. Don't get me started on the skill point either. I don't know if they made it easier in the Reignited Trilogy or if it's just easier than I remember it being but I don't have much trouble anymore with it. I swear my first time I must have spent half an hour fighting that fucker. I also never found the trolley that hard. I have pretty good reaction time so that probably helped. And Tree Tops is only hard your first time.
Wonderful song. I always love this level for this song. xD 3godzilla3, the name of the stage is Frozen Altars. You have Alters instead. Sorry if I sounded condescending, it's hard to state something like this without looking like a jerk haha.
I wasn't aware that the worlds were based on anything? If that's the case I would maybe say this one is based on Canada maybe? I only say that because Canada is big on Hockey? :')
The entire level seems to be based on both Antarctica and South America with both the Penguins and the Incan themed enemies and temples.(Spyro Wiki) spyro.wikia.com/wiki/Frozen_Altars
"Yow, Yow, Yow, Yow, yow," *Pops like a balloon* LOL
That Killed Me lmao
As a kid, I always tried to avoid this level because the snowmen looked so damn scary and creepy xD. I used to have nightmares of those snowmen.
They creeped me out too. I got my vengeance when I kicked the shit out of a snowman my cousin made in December 2014
I did too. I had nightmares about this level

20 years. I have tried to find this song. For 20 years. Somehow i missed this track.
The 2 decade long itch has finally been scratched
Are you sure it was this song and not the other one though?

The only stage in the first three spyros that you only use the ice breath, that is amazing.
So weird i always tought there was ice breath somewhere else but no not untill later games..this level blew my mind as a kid

I love how Stewart Copeland made Year of the Dragon's soundtrack more exotic and unique in comparison to the music in the other games.
Every soundtrack is good and unique in it's own way...he was the unexpected perfect choice to make the OSTs.

0:11 Dragon Ball Z Budokai 3 use the exact sample for the character select theme
I’ve heard that sound effect in a faster pace in Sonic Adventure 2’s main menu cutscene as well as some random tv ad from years and years ago.

I always felt bad zapping the little mammoths with the heat ray.
Love how chill this song is
this music right here WAS JUST AMAZING :')
What was up with the voices of those penguins? They were cool, but kind of creepy at the same time.
They sounded like perverts xD
they always sounded bored to me
They weren't penguins... also they were all voiced by Tom Kenny. It's clear he made them sound laid back.
Jordan Bickelmann simple Those birds were smoking some Mary Jane
