I kinda think that the bees know that Yappy is doing his best to help keep them safe. I couldn't guess where the queen was but for once I finally saw her just before you pointed her out. 🐝
This is Great! Was fortunate to be part of a vacuuming/collection session for a swarm on a neighbor's tree a few years back. The bee guy I called asked me to spray the swarm with a hose- I said 'uh-no way I am going near it!' I waited for him to arrive. Went in fearful, came out respecting not only the bee collector, but the thousands of friendly bees flying all around me and landing on me. It was an amazing experience. Wonderful, incredible creatures. I always stop the mower and wait for them to move. We need our honey bees to survive. Thanks for your important work.
When they swarm, they are loaded up and ready to start building comb as soon as they find a suitable spot. Sometimes that works against them when they are forced to stay too long in one location.
LOL, I guessed wrong. Oh well, at least I spotted Her Majesty just before you pointed at her. Glad these ladies got a good new home, thank you Yappy! 🥰🐝
I think I held my breath through the whole removal! And I guessed hive from their waggling. And I did see her in the group shot. I feel like I am getting better at this from a distance...but not ready for my own hive yet. Sticking with my solitary bee hotels for now. 😊
Love your video's Yappy, and just love the way you talk to your bee's, you have a fantastic way about you !!! Thank you so much, it's amazing to see and watch somthing I'll never experience,
Open air colony with all that brood, they have been thriving, I wonder how large it would have gotten as an open air colony. Ty much Yappy, I've only seen a few videos of bees that decided to go open air and start building. I think she was in the hive, there didn't look like there was any bees pooling up around her in the box so I figured chances were she was in the hive. Have a great weekend Yappy.👍
Yup, I am a nerd. I was actually worried that the bee’s would fall when you were removing that. Years ago I could have given a careless about how “happy” they were. Man how things have changed for me since watching this channel.
I guessed she was in the hive, fun that I guessed right lol. I saw the break in the comb in the intro and really hoped it wouldn't fully break and dump the poor Bees, glad to see you got it all sorted Yappy!
This time of year is my favorite time to watch your videos Yappy. We had a swarm on a mango tree a few years ago and I wish I knew how to host them. Now we’re getting ready for a homestead and your videos and others are gearing us up for keeping bees
I guessed the queen was in the hive, glad I was right, that's the first time I've seen an open air hive, that's really cool, I always worried that vacuuming them would hurt them but I see it doesn't, I have one question thou, why don't you use the comb from the hive they have already made, wouldn't it be better than getting rid of it especially if it's got alot of brood and food for them instead of them starting from scratch all over again? Maybe I'm just still new about all this bee keeping but I just thought it would be great that they had the comb from their original hive to build onto in the box that the comb could be put into the frames for them to use and not have to start over. It was a great video and I am so glad you care about the bees and take great care to protect them and give them a new home, looking forward to more videos, hope you have a great weekend. 😊
THANK YOU again Yappy 🐝man...I can't express my gratitude enough for caring for are bee friends 🐝🐝 🐝..."I'm on the other side of the fence... if you see the queen 👑🐝 you better yell & tell me...😄 luv your 🐝 humor & keep your videos coming your the BEEst! 😃
I was wrong I thought she was still in the catch box those girls were too calm and clustered in the corners. The knew you were trying to help them and give them a new home too. Have a great day
This was a hard choice, they are very calm in both boxes, but I picked the framed box because her scent was in the empty boxes so the bees could sense that, but the box with frames if she wasn't in there the bees would be leaving,or Fanning.which they weren't.
How exciting for you, happy for the bees. I did spot the Queen just before you said where she was. I am getting better and a bit faster to seeing her. Content all round. I do get upset for them but know they are treated well and that is all one can hope fore. Cheers mate🎉🎉🎉😊
I am so glad it was closer to you. I can rest in peace that as the bees will be gently persuade to move to new accommodations, and get about their business. Thanks Yappy🎉🎉🎉🎉😊
There’s a colony near me that’s high up on the side of a tree. It’s been there since last year. I’ve not been to see it for a few weeks, but I don’t know if they’d survive the winter. I couldn’t see much activity last time I was there.
Wow Crazy never knew they can be open in the opening so cool if you were i am lol this is so cool Yappy thanks so very much Love love your videos have a great Weekend think she in the hide box
"Let's see what kind of mood they are in" Looking how they don't care about their hive being broken and their sisters being sucked into a vacuum, I'd say they're quite depressed.
when you vacuum them does it kill them because ive seen videos of the inside of vacuums in videos like these and all the bees die. i know you care about the bees thats why im curious
Great job yappy you have inspired me to do swarm collection I was always facinated with it but a little afraid And yes what type of vaccum do you use like that technique. Love from 🇯🇲 land of reggae, and Bolt.
well we had a 50/50 chance of guessing right. and as fate would tell i guessed??????not gonna say. another unique bee rescue. how do you top this one? stay well
Are they less aggressive is that why you're able to touch them bare hand? or are honeybees generally cool when you're not firm in terms of handling them?
Not all bees are female but the ratio depending on the time of year can be about 95% female . And thatbsaid, treat them like ladies and they are nice back to me.
@@YappyBeeman I like this fact, dat you treat them like little ladies☺️ when you respect em, they’ll happily respect you right back.. and clearly it shows hence why your Yappy the bee whisperer😏✨
I love that you always explain their behavior, like fanning, mood, and now how this temporary home came about :D
I kinda think that the bees know that Yappy is doing his best to help keep them safe. I couldn't guess where the queen was but for once I finally saw her just before you pointed her out. 🐝
Nice job. These bees were so chill that wasn't sure until i found her.
Nature sure is wonderful! Bees just doing bee things! Thanks for sharing Happy Beeman!
I'm in the wrong career field. I HATE being an accountant. This guy seems so happy and joyful with his work!

I am amazed they could build so much comb so quickly. Another awesome video!

Great video Yappy♥️
Thank you. It was fun
Wow! Amazing. Bless you and the bees! So peaceful!
Thank you for your content, you have taught me that bees are not our enemies and can be quite calm in the presence of humans
Yappy, I like when you feed the bees marshmallows while they are settling into a new home.
LOL, I guessed wrong. Oh well, at least I spotted Her Majesty just before you pointed at her. Glad these ladies got a good new home, thank you Yappy! 🥰🐝
All good. Maybe on the next one. I appreciate the honesty and I promise I'm not keeping score on right vs wrong. Lol

Beautiful gentle bees, lovely little capture
Love 💕 this video too!
Good capture. That was a huge open-air colony with productive genetics. Thanks for sharing.

I love bee's! 🐝. Thank you for saving them.
Those bees are so chill like they know you or something lol. Great job
I LOVE watching these videos. The fact that you can find one queen out of all those 1000's of bees is CRAZY. Super cool
Yappie got his buzz on ! Keep posting those videos.
It's swarming season which means it's new Yappy videos season! The best time of year!
Thoroughly Yappified and I had NO doubt that the queen was somewhere in the state. Border, not confusion. BLESSINGS!

In a Yoda voice......Change your mind I have. Happy I am for you.
I thought she’d be in the box as the vacuum container seemed a bit sparse. Another interesting video, hope you have a good year.

Really pretty comb.
That looked like a lot of fun. I honestly thought Her Majesty would be in the catch box.
Yaaaaaap another great video!!!!
What I never knew about queens is they start running really fast when you fail to pick them up the first try 😁
@4:10 "They're still being as nice as they can Bee" Lol
Glad you found the Queen, aka, "Momma."
Pretty cool Yappy.
Good work man, Keep the videos coming. Greetings from Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean.
Hello back from the States. Thank you for commenting your location. It's really cool to see people from all over the world viewing my work.
Love those new boxes
Me too. Very strong, great craftsmanship
Yappy has to be happy with the bees 🐝 this is my sixth time watching, I’m addicted, it’s 4:33am
Spot the queen is definitely my favourite game!😉

excellent
Because they were fanning on the frames, I assumed she was in the box with the frames.
Nice observation

.im trying to catch a swarm.. just to have them on my peoperty
im in pell city al
Thanks for.sharing
Thanks for watching. Good luck on catching some bees. They are fun.
That happens more often up here in New England because of the colder temperatures.
What type of vacuum do you use for your swarm collection?
I didn't bother to guess because she wasn't slipping by Yappy that's for sure! Good work Yappy!
Lol.....great comment. Thanks for watching
"Let's see what kind of mood they are in"
Looking how they don't care about their hive being broken and their sisters being sucked into a vacuum, I'd say they're quite depressed.
Had one of these two years ago about 2/3rds that size in a bush next to a house. They built under a bird nest.
I thought she was in the hive!😊
Wow!!!
when you vacuum them does it kill them because ive seen videos of the inside of vacuums in videos like these and all the bees die. i know you care about the bees thats why im curious

That is awesome! Be careful but many blessings with your new hobby.
I the hive.
Heheh, I was right, I guessed hive -- thought they were all calm because they knew she was 'at home'.
What was the company that you were thanking? For the bottom board?
apimaye-usa.com/collections/apimaye-ergo-hive-sets
In the box. The hive is fanning to the others.
Do the bees survive being vacuumed up?
Yes. It is not a regular vac. That would kill them.
In the hive. I see some workers fanning.
love u yappy! just curious.- how often would you say u get stung?
Depends on the colony. During spring when the bees are busy , its really not that much. Summertime they are a little more defensive.
well we had a 50/50 chance of guessing right. and as fate would tell i guessed??????not gonna say. another unique bee rescue. how do you top this one? stay well
SHES in the catch box,
everyone knows the queen was in the parlor eating bread and honey...lol
Lol....good one
She is in the catch box
I knew she was in hive!
She’s in the hive box
👍
In the hive, i see them fanning
im a new viewer and love these new sub! :D
Welcome to my little corner of the world. Enjoy
@@YappyBeeman :)
What type of bees are these??
European honey bees
Are they less aggressive is that why you're able to touch them bare hand? or are honeybees generally cool when you're not firm in terms of handling them?
Crazy
I thought the hive because in the box the bees didn't really have any particular direction that the majority were moving in.
Yappy - are all bees female? And how do you manage not to get stung?
Not all bees are female but the ratio depending on the time of year can be about 95% female . And thatbsaid, treat them like ladies and they are nice back to me.
