Does this variety grow bristles?

All male bristlenose (aka bushynose) plecos, regardless of color, will develop bristles. Rarely, a female will develop noticeable bristles along her upper lip, but not the "mohawk."
As males get older and into breeding mode, the bristles will get bigger, and then may get smaller if the male isn't makin' babies.
Mine stay pretty busy, so their bristles have stayed pretty big. They look like Dr. Suess animals😅!
