the fact the yakshas had a family dynamic really broke me man. before this archon quest, i thought they had a coworker relationship
Man the delivery of Boyang's VA when he was having hallucinations of his family and when he said he wanted to go home was so good, its so heavy

The fact that these two are the last two remaining survivors out of all the people who sacrificed themselves down there, and they either died from starvation, dehydration, injury or madness is such a sad and dark backstory
According to the note left in the compass, Bosacius died from injuries from fighting the remaining of Khaenri'ahn beasts. Boyang died alone and delusional.

i think that reason people maybe think just some kind npc, but we know npc story is always dark
he had a family yet also made the ultimate sacrifice just like an adeptus, this quest showed that mortals too can be heroes

and what's more tragic is that he was the last one to die. Imagine the despair and loneliness he had in his last moments.
In chinese Bosacius's name is 浮舍. And in Chinese version video, the last sentence is 浮生一世，万般皆舍. His name is taken from the first and last word of the sentence. The meaning of the sentence is Floating life, all can be given up. Just like he gave up everything to protect Liyue.

Respectful,y disagree. 浮生 means a short and illusory life, typically refer to human life. 一世 means a lifetime. I think for me a better way to interpret this is that our lives in this world fly pass in the blink of an eye, there’s no point hanging on to your earthly tethers, leave all behind in this life (if your death is meaningful for some greater purpose, which is implied here by the context).

as much as I love Xiao's design, I love the how cool the other 4 look, is so sad what happen to them and that I'll never play with them:'( , Bosacius was the big brother to all of them , and even in his madness he helped the people of Liyue on the darkest Battle

@@ShuchengCao This is the common problem a lot of people are having. 4 stars doesn't even matter at this point, what matters is the 5 star in the banner. If you truly like the 5 star on the banner then you WOULD not care about the 4 stars.
@R J Yeah, I'm still pure f2p. I'm a meta-slave in my early days in genshin though (xD) but after getting too many constellations for my broken 4 stars like xiangling or xingqiu, i stopped caring on the 4 stars in the banner and just started pulling on whoever i like (5 star character specifically).

After doing the Archon quest, I kinda hope hoyo would make a temple to commemorate all the fallen yakshas (like pervases's) and the milileth soldiers who bravely fought to defend Liyue during the invasion of khaenri'ahn civilization. It was the most desperate battle Liyue had ever faced and the fatality was brutal to the extreme. It took countless of lives to end the war and to think that it severely took a toll on the 5 general Yakshas (specially triggering their karmic debt) proves how deadly the battle was back then before Liyue became like today.
Also i like the ambiance of this Archon Quest. The anxiety you feel when you're stuck and you know you're on a dead end, the low background music, the recorded voices, the feeling of being trapped. I felt like i was stuck there with them. Hoyoverse nailed this one!
true. even if gameplay allows us to teleport away it does feel as if u r stuck there. atmosphere was done great! when everyone got out I had sigh of relief and felt as if we got out of tiring experience.

The anxiety during that cutscene of them getting up in the surface was nerve-wracking and the relief when everyone got out safely (even though we freaking almost lost Xiao i pray to pervases and the heavens to NEVER ever touch Xiao again with that death flags that seems to prove that he is still not out of the danger zone YET) Hoyoverse nailed the Archon quest AGAIN!!

The way all of them just keel over when Bosacious adresses Boyong as Alatus really does it for me. The pain I felt in that moment

If you think Genshin Impact is the best game, you've not played any AAA title. I play Genshin along with AAA games like RDR2, and I confirm Genshin is no match for it.
@@Scarlescent the thing is.. im not a fan of western games so i prefer games like botw,xenoblade (expecially the second game), or fire emblem and genshin have everything i like, really good lore, good characters designs,fantasy, amazing music, open world.

I saw it in Japanese and it seemed sadder to me. He felt completely lost in the Yaksha. And his pain and suffering felt more alive.

when you carefully think about all these cutscenes and quests.. hoyoverse puts a lot of detail and thought into them.. even the references can go way back... this game is beautiful and i don't care how toxic some of the community is to hoyoverse.. i will always cherish the time i spent on these quests.. not giving them slack for last years anniversary though

I always had this theory that the electro Yaksha used the last of his power and life to bring boyang out which means the last ultimate sacrifice at the end but Boyang forgot his memories when he went back up and didn’t return to his family but was able to live outside

So I never really got what the Ultimate Sacrifice was.
Did he do something or was he referring to the leading the monsters down to the chasm thing?
From what I gathered, they sealed themselves in the chasm to fight the monsters & to make sure the outside world would be safe. They knew they wouldn't get out of there alive after closing the seal. That's their sacrifice.
Bosacius was referring to himself that he is the ultimate sacrifice. It means he's willing to sacrifice everything he is for the sake of Liyue people safety.
When the karma slowly consumed his sanity. He still manage to lure the monsters to Chasm.

the archons aren't sweet and kind all the time. even salt god proves that.
He is just don't skip dialogues. Early quest already showed it.

The hydro and Geo killed eachother after the karma ruined their sanity. Pyro went mad with fear, and died. Xiao, is still alive
