Man you really need to invest in a better off shore rod. That rod is way too soft and long for that fishing. That's why it killed you so badly. With that long soft rod you lose all of your mechanical advantage. Aka have to fight harder to drag them in.

I don't know much about fishing, but I have 2 questions. 1) Why does dude keep tossing bait out, and 2) Why doesn't the one guy ever hook up? Thanks!
1. Keeping bait on the water keeps the school of tuna close to the boat. 2. He was new to this kind of fishing.
