For everything we do in religion there are valid reasons behind it. You can’t say there’s no reason. There is reason but you need to find and research on holy books and hadiths. You will get your valid answers from there itself not from people. Because some people have weak knowledge regarding religion and it can be your parents too so yeah. You shouldn’t depend on people or parents. Be independent and research yourself regarding religion. Holy Books are in front of you. Just need to use your eyes and brain to use it efficiently and effectively.
