WOW👏😃!!!! Y’all’s dedication is inspiring!!! 4 HOURS!!!!!!👏👏👏 Gabby, Holy Crap, woman! Those cast you threw were super impressive!!! Chris, how long did you lay in that spot? The patience you guys have!!! No way I could do that. I have a tremendous amount of respect for you both:). Tiger Woods is such a cutie 😊. Great job you two😄👍😃
You guys are awesome, been binge watching all your videos for the last couple days now lol. I could watch you guys like a TV show, very entertaining and I feel like I learn more and more about alligators from each video.
Does the sanctuary have a capacity limit or ever run out of space? I know the animal rehabilitation community is very close knit, always reaching out to others if they don't have space for an animal, but it seems like the Outpost just never runs out of room for gators 🤣
They are in the process of building another large pond for them! Chris and I hope to open up our own sanctuary within the next year. Thats why TH-cam views help us so much!
I was wondering how you guys where going to catch it if it's far out in the water.I didn't see any bait on the line is it the splashing sound that will scare it inwards or he goes for the hook.
@@FloridasWildest is the sound mimicing something, so is the noise itself attracting him or is it the repetitive soundwaves being sent into the ground (and water)? The video was great and again so interesting! :)
Two questions that I have. 1) If an alligator is below a minimum length are they able to be released? 2) If an alligator is returned how likely is it that they will return to the same area they were captured from?
In Florida, if they are under 4ft long you really can’t mess with them because they’re considered too small to be a threat. If they are over 4ft they cannot be relocated because they will more than likely make their way back to the area they were found in. They usually cause a lot of issues along the way for themselves and for people and wildlife, so Florida just doesn’t allow for relocation at all. Or that’s what I was told when I lived in Florida. I’ve lived on the Texas coast now for a number of years and they definitely relocate gators here. I don’t know if it’s because there’s more rural and isolated spaces suitable for gators here or what, but every state has its own laws about this.
What puts an alligator in the nuisance category? I would assume there are lots of alligators in golf course ponds and coming on land would be common. Doesn’t seem enough to prompt having to trap and place in the sanctuary. Is there simply a no tolerance rule?
@@FloridasWildest Are live traps not permissible or practical? If hurting a gator using a fish hook is the only way you can save its life then it's definitely better than not doing anything. My comment was more out of curiosity than anything.
You know something funny? I’m in Australia and I’m pretty damn scared of blue tongue lizards. Hate them. I think it’s because I found one in my sand pit when I was about 3 and it terrified me. We took our girls to a local zoo and when the staff bought animals out to be handled, I dived out when he lizards came out, and then the dude thought a crocodile would scare me, it was about 4 feet long, and I was trying to take it and hold him, while everyone else was running away. Phobias are weird things. I’d not think twice grabbing that gator and bringing him in, but lizards, forget it.
If I owned a golf course in Florida. I'd definitely have a gator or two. Not real ones. Just some very realistic statues near the water to help keep people out of it. But then again I'd rather have a pond ful of happy real gators living their best life naturally than a golf course if I had the money.
If you owned a golf course in Florida you would find it pretty much impossible to keep alligators out of it. They occupy most if not all bodies of fresh water in the state.

Thank you so much!

You guys are so cool for all you do to save and protect the wildlife. Very brave too.
At first I didn’t see the tape on his mouth and I was like how in the hell is she holding him like that?
I thought the same thing too!
same
Oh my god me too. I was like, “she’s brave!”
Yeah, same. She held him like a puppy, thinking she must be the gator whisperer.
Me too. I guess the tape is transparant.
Love the little gator calls.
Gabby with that awesome casting!🙌🏼Glad Tiger Woods will live a long, safe life surrounded by adoring fans!💚
You guys were so patient and positive! You can tell, y’all love what you do and that’s amazing! Good catch guys! Welcome home tiger woods!
Chris is having a nap. Love you guys
He's a good looking feller, another GREAT Video, THANK YOU

He is a handsome gator!
When you cast, is the object to cast over the body, then drag the hook over and hope it snags?
Correct

Golf course saved, Vivat!

Golfers be jealous because their hobby is hitting a ball and yours is wrasslin' alligators.
If I was in Florida I'd like to do both from time to time. With proper training so I don't harm the gator.
nother job well done!!......admire ur patience & bravery.
😂it’s just like watching loony toons and Wiley coyote trying to catch the Road Runner
It was so interesting to watch🦎
Barbless hook!!! I love that:) I never even knew about those. Very cool 👍
Be blessed 🙏
Casting like a pro..seems u have done that once or twice.
Thank you! I’ve been doing it for 3 years now
wow, great video!! hi chris & gabby!! have a good evening. i hope all is well. they are cute alligator and cute name for the gator tiger woods.!!

Is he sedated? How is he so calm, the alligator?
Incredible! Keep up the great work
What is the maximum size that you can’t release? Also if you do release where do you release them?
Great cast!! If this gator saving gig doesn't work out, you should try fly fishing!!
When ur casting for the gator wat is the noise i hear around you? It almost sounds like baby gators but im sure its a Bird or something

Good job guys
Yo, guys,
Thanks for yet another entertaining and informative video.
PS. I love your goofy, always curious bird -- I think he's a hornbill?
In the bath tub 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Throw a whole gator in the trunk like he’s a new TV 😂
what does that sound thing you got do?
What's that sound you're playing to attract them?
I know I'm really late to reply but it's actually the sounds of baby alligators
That was a pretty wild fishing golf game. Major water hazard on that hole.
I hope this isn't a dumb question, but what was making that sound? The alligator??
8:44 Just put the gator in back of the Honda. No biggie!
Is he going to go to the sanctuary with Chris now?
I know I dont qualify, but I want a shirt that says, "Licenced Alligator Trapper".
😂😂😂
I was thinking the same thing! 😂
Worked at a country club in palm beach gardens and they remove alligators all the time. So strange to see as a South African 😂

Potential Customer at Honda Dealership: "How many gators can you fit in this trunk?"
Was that the gator calling? He looked so big to be making that high-pitched call like a baby.
Infant gator calls. It attracts the adults. Works almost all the time on the bigger ones.

#1 thing that native floridians fear: closed-toe shoes. And I'm pretty sure there's a law that gator trappers must work in flip-flops or bare feet 🙂
You guys should visit gatorland.
Why are you using hooks to catch gators? Doesn't that hurt them?
How else would you like me to catch them?

This is the most practical, efficient and humane way to live capture
@@FloridasWildest All good, I'm just glad you are helping the gators.

Do you ever get compensated for your captures?
No
Payment is knowing the gator won't be killed by some moron saving animals lives is pay, ment
Too me he looked like 4 feet. I was super surprised that he's almost the size of me! 😂 How old do you think he/she was?
A Yankee with the courage of a lion.

Why didn’t you use some food item to attract him, like chicken,
Because it is illegal to feed them and also it wouldn’t work. Scared animals don’t want food.
I imagine this wasn't your first rodeo.
All this fuss over a juvenile. Aligators arent that dangerous on land- i dont see a problem with it being there.
