Hey Ledge hill landscape a another awesome videos on your channel for 2023 u definitely my favorite TH-camr i hope you can get your plow working again i plow 3 time this season
I'm not a fan of the plows that attach themselves like the Boss and SnowEx do. I have a few friends that own Boss plows and they got me to try one and I hated it. I'm retired now but I ran all Westerns. Easy on and easy off. I know everyone puts that ratchet strap on the headset but I've seen a couple bend. Next time you might want to throw the wings in the box of your truck and get rid of some of the weight. We also drive the plow up a snowbank and then tighten the strap. That way the plow is already in the air you're just holding it there.
I just bought a truck with a Boss V plow was came with it and I feel the same way, first thing I thought was if that switch goes everything goes. Had a Western V Blade on my old truck, easy on, easy off. Only problem I had was the wires on the truck side that wore over time because they hung on the outside and kept moving when you drove so make sure they are secured insde the bumper. I do like the new systems in some ways, but the less electrical the better, I don't really need a switch to help me put on a plow.
For your wet clumped salt bags, try a rubber mallet from harbor freight and give the bags a few whacks before you throw it up on the salter. Plus you can use it to give a little smack to the outside of the spreader if you get any sticking on the sides.
What ended up being the problem with that DXT? I just bought a 9’2 used 2014ish year with wings this spring. Was wondering if there’s a common problem with them?
The blowout cap for the reservoir needed to be replaced, I’d recommend doing that before the start of the winter just to be safe. They are solid plows and I know you will be happy with it.
Glad i have 9 foot 6 mvp3 westren .dont have that problems
Can you do a set up video for all your plow trucks
We will make sure to do a video on that in the spring when we have all of our equipment in the same place.
