@@TronciM Well no, too many mistakes to be Fluent. It's a very good level, but it is not Fluent. I should know. Yes in France water is very expensive whether with gas or no gas same as in other European countries believe it or not Half cup of tea will charge you 5 euros or more depends on what time you drink the tea half a cup holy moly
Fun fact, narguilé has its origins from the Persian word for glass (nārgil) with which they would smoke hookah. The Arabic language then adopted the word “nargileh,” before it was then passed onto French and over ten other languages. In English we even have narghile. Chicha appears to be from the Persian word for coconut, “shīsheh” or commonly known as shisha (shee-shuh), which is another device used for smoking hookah that many languages have adopted. That’s being said, Rudy definitely knows both of these words.
I like how Rudy hides behind the menu...and refuses to order anything! 😂 P.S. Also, someone had asked what the ending meant - "Oui Oui baguette" is a meme and a phrase to make mild fun of French I think, sorta like "put a shrimp on the barbie" (barbeque) is making fun of Aussie English.
That was basically perfect French with an accent... a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one👌 I also applause managing to make an actual "oui oui, baguette" joke in 2024, I'm genuinely impressed.
@@KevinOnEarth_ Ah I did think about that but I wasn't sure so I didn't wanna assume they still would speak it today, hence my surprise. And we don't have many lessons about our former colonies at school, even less about the ones in the Middle-East. Debatable if it's a bad thing or not given the Algerian War is still a touchy subject today. Modern history at school is basically 90% WWII and sadly very little about the North African and Middle-Eastern fronts.

It is taught in almost all schools so we all grow up knowing at least a little french. Depending on the area you are from, you can be really fluent in it as well. Same as english (which has become more popular now)
I am with dad on this one.... lots of those 5 star restaurants are not so 5 star , just an image scam. claim they are 5 stars specialty just to shame you into paying alot, but their products and service is bad.
