- February 7, 2025 - The Asia Society Policy Institute’s Center for China Analysis (CCA) presents a panel discussion where veteran China watchers consider the obstacles to understanding what is happening in the country today. These include the departure of China-based experts, restricted access, growing suspicions of foreign influence, and the uncertainties surrounding the second Trump administration. Speakers include Katja Drinhausen, head of Program at the Mercator Institute for China Studies; Seth Faison, Partner and co-leader of Brunswick’s China Hub and former bureau chief New York Times Shanghai; and Joerg Wuttke, partner at DGA-Albright Stonebridge Group and former president of the EU Chamber of Commerce. Lynette H. Ong, CCA senior fellow on Chinese Society, moderates the discussion. (1 hr.)
