First real question from the reporter "Is Pickett still the starter" 😂😂😂
I'm glad AF this happened. We get a punt at our own 45. Need roughly 20 yards and to run the clock out to kick a walk off field goal. We throw 3 quick highschool routes and punt the ball back to Cleveland. It's a firing that needed to happen after the first 3 games and they realized we weren't getting yards and barely any points. I think we've scored over 30 ONE time in the last 2 years. That falls on the play calls way more than the players, we have the talent.
Those 3 high-school routes should of been completed!

Tomlin said Warren didn't need more than 9 carries. Warren averaged 14 ypc and ran for more yards than Kenny threw for. Tomlin being 1 win above .500 every year isn't something to brag about. The standard has been mediocrity for over a decade and it's time for Tomlin to go too.
I would've gave it to Warren to at least run out the clock and take our chances in OT, instead we give it back to Cleveland only shaving 14 seconds

Agreed! If we develop chemistry on the offense, players will be excited and Kenny can feel more confident and poised in running offense. He has to get better though, if he doesn't the WR's will have no confidence in him.

Tomlin should be concerned about his job too. Just because you haven't had a losing season doesn't mean a lot when you haven't done anything else either. Since his Super Bowl loss to Green Bay 15 years ago, his best showing was losing in the AFC Championship game one time. Mediocrity is mediocrity... or as he would say, the standard.

Ok, the damage was done. Now lets heal and move on to better things. Give Kenny some time to acclimate to the changes. He's our guy for at least the rest of the season. Remember, we all loved Kenny back when he started. Saw his movement/scramble ability (whether or not you think it was too much). At the Combine, his confidence and dime drops were great. Past that, his dime drops to Pickens and Johnson were awesome... no thrilling! Let's now throw a little.... no..... a lot of Freiermuth in there (he can be our Kelce). Let Najee and Warren give them the old left right punch (Thunder and Lightning). Let's stand behind him and support his growth! How many other teams have ALL that talent? Not to mention the other up and comers like CA3. People WE HAVE THE TOOLS! Maybe now we can get the play caller to compliment our guys?

Tomlin stated that it was "he and he alone" who fired Matt Canada. This is not true. Art Rooney II made the call. Also, if this hasn't occurred since 1941 that was during the merger (Steelers and Eagles) or Steagles era.

I understand that something had to give, but we all know if somebody had to be dealt with during this season it wasnt gonna be Pickett. A one-on-one interview of Brooke Pryor with Tomlin would be gold.
Bruce Ariens use to say at least 4-5 deep balls down the middle per game is a must. I see something like that up and coming. The tipping point to me on the Canada firing is when you have a successful run game which we did against the Browns, there is no reason the passing game to be as poor as we had. The middle should have had more calls go that way as the primary receiver on Slants. Any quick hitters in the middle with that part of the field being first priority then mix in the outside. Also, what was it not to double the blocking on Miles Garret? Maybe I missed it but it didn’t look that way to me in critical areas of the field. With all that, I have faith in Coach Tomlin and he will get this fixed, just be patient and let him do his work.
And remember... All the fans wanted Arians fired too. The fans are irrational. "Fans" is short for "fanatics," and too many of us prove true to the term.
That said, I think you're right. There will be an increased focus on assisting Kenny with prep and plays that target the deep secondary. Hopefully, the new coaching setup will help Kenny enjoy the game more. Perhaps he'll play more loosely once game day is more positive for him.

It was a good decision to fire Canada. I hope the offense works better. On the other hand, Kenny is not throwing the ball well and does not generate the offense. If he does not improve, it would be nice to sit him on the bench and put someone else who can do it better. And if the team still does, does not improve, it would be a good idea to think about changing head coaches
If we don't see something from Kenny in the next two weeks, I think he needs to sit a game or two. I would like to see Mason get a shot because I don't think Mitch is the answer. It might be good for Kenny to watch from the sidelines for a while. I still want Kenny to be the starter next seasons because I want to see him with a good offensive coordinator before I give up on him to soon. To many fans want instant gratification it takes time for some quarterbacks to become good starters. Us Steeper fans have been spoiled having Ben for so long and now expect every QB to come in and be great right at the start.

Pickett peaked at Pitt, that 5th year is what got him drafted in round 1.

I love and always will love Mike Tomlin as a person. I believed in his coaching skills for years, but I can no longer ignore the fact that he is not a great coach. He talks a big game and understands football better than most other coaches, but there is something seriously wrong with his actual game-day coaching. I am not sure what it is. Anybody have any ideas?
He’s a defensive coach last I checked the Steelers have routinely had a good defense. Outside a few couple years but what I think happened is Steeler fans are spoiled you don’t know what it’s truly like to lose or be below .500 and every single team outside looks in and laughs at the fact you guys want to fire him as a coach in fact the Chargers are hoping you do so they can pick him up. Everyone thinks of steeler fans as a joke. Because it makes absolutely 0 sense to fire Tomlin after everything he’s done for you guys.
