Bro , so much knowledge drop. Just got procreate , just started getting into all this, and the content you put out is as super clean as your work. Keep it up bro, can’t wait for more 👌
Sick bro. I’m definitely the same, I draw and redo and adjust constantly until it finally looks like I want. Glad it’s not just me. Just a tip when doing your seps and using the wand, uncheck contiguous at the top and it’ll automatically select all of the similar colors in the design. That will save you a step. I wand the color I want, inverse and delete.
Hey man! If you just click that "contiguous box" up top you can select all of one color without having to go to similar! Handy trick I came across! Cheers.
Class Design man. Helpful thing I found when drawing playing cards was using the reflection symmetry option on the drawing assist panel. Makes light of half the work!
I am just getting into using the procreate program for making shirts what steps do you suggest I take for vectoring my prints to be honest with you I'm new at computers, but I am learning.
Hi, I just got procreate. Is there a canvas size or pixel size I should draw on too? I’m trying to draw and print my desgins on shirts. So does the canvas matter ? I recently choose the (4K canvas) then I inserted a photo of a drawing I did. Then I was juts tracing it but when I get closer to the drawing it looks pixelated.. is that normal of did I mess up and now I can’t print on a shirt ??? I spent hrs drawing it 😩
Yes the canvas size is really important! I use a canvas of 3456x5184 px this works well for designs I want to screen print. Also be sure to not shrink or expand your design up or down in procreate because that with pixelate it a bit too.
@@kevinpaz1055 That might be a liitle small but you can try it out. I've had the same thing happen where I had to completely redo a design so I feel ya.
@@GoldenPressStudio How about one of those pocket badges, like the tees you wear? Would you mind sharing a canvas size for something like that? Just starting up and creating my templates.
Hallo sir, i wanna starting to freelance as tshirt designer, i wanna ask is the client okay with psd source file ? Not Ai file, because iam not using adobe illustrator for the artwork And is 4000px X 4000px good enough for tshirt design ? Thank you in advance
Old video I know. I’ve been using procreate for a short bit. Couldn’t one just separate layers in procreate, basically copy/paste each layer into it’s own canvas, then vectorize if desired?
Yea you can do it that way. Just like most things in the design world, there are 20 different ways to do anything. Find what works best for your work flow!
This vid was sooo useful! Ive been using Illustrator and I find when I trace and add convert into live paint I cant knock out my design to separate my colours later when I prepare it for screen printing. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you! #amateur 😬
I have the original Apple Pencil with no custom settings. I use several different brushes in Procreate to make my designs. Thanks for watching and I hope that answers your question!
Cool design. I've been separating a lot with Separation Studio 4 here recently, or my old trusty T-Seps.... If I create the design with Photoshop, etc. Vector art, sometimes SS4 will sep a pdf nicely, but I usually OG manually separate things these days in CorelDraw. And don't lie to nobody image Trace it's better to delete the bad sections and use the pen tool and redraw all that part you know it. Lol
Do we really need Adobe illustrator? I don’t have a Mac book so I’m kind of confused, can’t I just add color in pro create and print it out on the shirt with my heat press?
Yeah you could do that. I know that sometimes it can be hard to print from an iPad and your artwork won't be vector if you don't bring it into illustrator.
I mostly learned everything from TH-cam. I started with typography and hand lettering and then started to learn how to draw things inspired by American traditional tattoos.

Dude thanks so much!
You made my day bro, thank you. You answered my all questions :D
Glad I could help!
Thanks for the "pro tip"...it is going to save me so much time with my designs.
Heck yeah! glad to help!
Great tips, I've gotta get myself an ipad pro. That brush work makes life so much easier
Yes it does!
I like all your videos so far. Great free content
Thx
Yeah man! thanks for the love!

I'm a little confused about inverting and delete... I thought you could just wand to select the color and then group it.
Totally just sold me on the pad and pen! ! ! ! ! ! !
It's a game changer!
Amazing job guys 🙌
Thanks homies!

Yeah man that is super helpful. For this design I actually just drew half and the copied it and reflected it.
Love to see you guys moving towards tutorials 🙏🙏🙏 amazing design by the way
Thanks so much bro!

Really cool tips
You guys have a video of printing this design?
We do not. Sorry!
🤯 mind blown! Awesome job thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
I've used Illustrator for years just dragging individual anchor points around trying to smooth them. N from now on.
Glad to have helped doggie!!!
Great video! Helpful tips for sure and pumped for more tutorials!
Thanks for feedback!!!
So sick!!
I have wondered how to make a vector graphic of my procreate drawings, thanks 🫡
Happy to help!

Is that good ?

So do I need a computer to do alll this or can I use the iPad cuz I see u went tour computer after procreate
If you are printing out artwork to be screen printed then yes, you want to go through the vector process on a computer.
Great quality video!
Does procreate share your designs with others? I'm worried about designing something and other people being able to see/use it.
Nope.

I think its actually the 12 but yeah that what I use.

Do you guys know the legal aspect? How much do you have to change the original to be able to sell it?
Playing cards are a pretty standardized design but we aren't lawyers so I would do some research on any legal questions.
@@GoldenPressStudio thanks for the answer
Good evening, could I ask you what model of ipad are you using in this video? And what program do you use? Thank you
It's a first gen iPad Pro 12 in. and the program is called procreate
Super helpful for beginners! What kind of shirt do you mostly print on?
Glad you liked it! 90% of the time we print on Bella Canvas, but we like Next Level, Independent, and Allmade
do I need photoshop and adobe? or could I get away with this process with just adobe?
if you separated your colors on different layers in procreate you can bring that into illustrator and you don't need to use photoshop.
good video 👍👍
How did you learn art since you didn’t go to school? Books, videos? Did you practice shapes endlessly? What steps did you take?
I mostly learned everything from TH-cam. I started with typography and hand lettering and then started to learn how to draw things inspired by American traditional tattoos.
Very nice!
crispy cheers!
Gotta keep it CRISPY!!
Great but I am kind of finding it not easy to play with 3 app …thanks
We have a FREE CLASS available for Procreate and Illustrator through screenprinting.com. Feel free to check it out!!
Crazy I had this same design idea( well kinda goes with the name🙄) but didn’t have the know how... smh. Awesome job tho!
Thanks! 😁
Nice design man. I want to subscribe but not until you tell me what ARF you later means lol 😂
ARF!!!!!
You ever just watch something and think “we’d be bros”
great video but your hat gets in the way when the view is from the top.
Thanks man! And yeah we had kinda a crazy set up for this video but we fixed that problem in our more recent videos.
I like how your hat is not blocking the top view
Boom. Roasted.
This shit is way too complicated just to make a shirt...
There has to be a much easier way to get the same result...
😂😆
