Tenerife Descents // #09 - El Teide - Vilaflor

- One of the most scenic and smoothest descents in the entire island of Tenerife. It is 42km long, start at 2232m of elevation and finishes a sea level. The descent follows the state roads TF-21, TF-51 & TF-28 passing through Vilaflor, La Escaloa, Arona & La Camella and finishing in Los Cristianos.

What a views, what a road! Sometime ago I would've dreamed about riding there on a motorcycle. Now i think the same about roadbike xd And a car of course :D Beautiful.
And one thing - believe it or not - I don't even own a roadbike (YET!) but it got me thinking, when you started pedaling, you drivetrain sounded really loud, even after that first shift - is it always that way?
It is the back wheel hub that is super loud. It sounds sometimes like gun shots if I shift at a given speed from lightest to heaviest gear :)

He probably started from 0km/h with his chain on the big ring in the front, instead the small one. That way, the chain touches the front derailleur slightly which can cause such noise. When he shifts up you can hear the noise go away as the chain straightens out. Correct me if I'm wrong @Blackchain Cycling .

Amazing shots! Is there a reason you don't get in the drops in a descent?
Because I have a camera hanging from my chest 😁. When i get on the drops, then the handle bar is filling the entire lowest half of the screen, and the landscape is sacrificed.
I only get on the drops when I HAVE; Wind or road I ride for 1st time...
