Glad you guys liked it. I agree with what y’all were saying; I’ve never played Valorant but I’ve been a gamer for almost my entire life lol and this song definitely can go with any game! One thing about XG.. they’re always gonna come through and absolutely demolish it!

Two things. First I love how when XG do collaborations they lean into where you know its a collaboration because they put it in there lyrics. Whether it's adding a Street fighter references in their Street Woman Fighter collaboration, gaming references and Riot here, or even when Jurin did that verse for Le Sserafim she reference the song and the group.
The other thing is that they basically did 6 different rap flows in this song with Cocona giving us two totally different flows, even Hinata giving a little rap.
Undefeated is already so dope, I can’t imagine how crazy the all-rap of “Woke Up” will be😮

Definitely a great job incorporating the game and gameplay into the lyrics. I love that Xg has been referencing Games in other videos, Two Twins and Show You Can and now this collaboration.

I noticed XG all up in the video. XG included Left Right in lyrics. XG shout out themselves. XG photos on guy's wall. XG Albums in his room. Wolves photos on his wall. Wolf photo on building. XG pack of 7 = 1 Wolf pack. Star on subway door. XG song lists above subway doorway. Shooting Star, Left Right, GRL GVNG, unable to make out rest. 5 guys have ALPHAZ Logo on their T-shirts.
XG Undefeated was definitely something that you're really enjoying the because of the members individual voices and range as performers with the Rap sections

They made 2 Valorant references. FNS (famous Valo player) and Riot Games, the studio that made the game.
This song/Video was made specifically for the Valorant Championship Tour Pacific region. GODS was made for Worlds (Super bowl of League). Very different in terms of scale. Valorants big tournament is called MASTERS.
now you have done the video go back and watch the color coded video so you can see who sings/raps cause in this song there are 5 rappers Jurin, Cocona, Maya, Harvey and Hinata plus they all sing at different points throughout
And, yes, Hinata did rap a bit ❤️❤️❤️

Not a kpop artist but if you played RPGs or Mega back in the day, I highly recommend checking out an artist named Megaran, especially his album Black Materia. That is one of his first albums and references many video games not just in the lyrics but also sampling their beats. All his music is amazing and worth a listen, I hope he’s someone you guys can vibe with!
That is why they’re not categorized as KPop group… just a Japanese girl group ( XPOP) having elements of Jpop/kpop only.

I'm a few days late but as someone that plays maybe too much valorant and follows professional valorant esports, I want to comment to give some background about the video and what this song is and why the scale is not the same as GODS. Professional valorant is made up of various franchised teams that are separated into 4 regions - North American, European, Pacific and Chinese. Valorant's season started relatively recently so this song is meant to be a hype song of sorts to kick of the pacific league's season. It's not on the same scale as GODS because it's just meant for the one region, while GODS was the hype song for the biggest international tournament in League of Legends.
As for the content of the video, there were plenty of references to the game and as well as some references to the pacific league teams. They include a good amount of agent abilities and there is some gameplay from some of the maps in the game. The last bit where the team is on stage has all of the pacific league teams' logos. As a fan of the pacific league and valorant as a game, this video is super cool and I love the song. The pacific league is the only region in valorant esports that does songs like this so I appreciate that this even exists. This is actually the 2nd valorant pacific league song that they've done - the first one was a collab with Minnie called 'Making Waves'.

The MV represents, as you said, five randos (or friends) forming a team to go in pro league play (hence the VCT Pacific League) and eventually winning their shot.
The five are wearing the fits from iso/raze/yoru/jett/killjoy.
There are animations from the map Bind "B side" and Split "A side".
There are skill animations showcasing skye bird, skye dog, sova drone, sova dart, raze grenade, raze boombot, jet bladestorm and astra smoke.
There are logos/flags representing teams from VCT Pacific League.
The main person in the MV is an XG stan with the small easter eggs showing an XG vinyl sleeve and posters.
I dont think the old man is canon.
This is a Riot Games released track commissioned to XG., similar to New Jeans with the song titled GODS for the game League of Legends. There's anticipation that XG will perform at Champions 2024 hosted in South Korea!
