It shouldn’t unravel when you twist. You should twist the 2 strands very tight then start twisting in counter clockwise motion. Keep the 2 strand you twisted at the beginning twisted tightly as you progress

The stiffness wasn’t too bad at all, and overtime it’ll loosen up completely :)
