If you want to hear the government's side of the story, there are plenty of sources on youtube like news channel documentaries. The sikh side of the story has sources that are mostly in punjabi, a part of the reason why common non-sikh people dont know about it. There are some sikh historians like ajmer singh who has done a series of interviews explaining all 6-7 days of operation bluestar if you wanna listen on youtube, but its in punjabi .... i can add link if you want

Shree guru nanak dev ji,who was first guru of sikhism and founded sikhism, was born in hindu family , his father name was mehta kaalu,and he was a hindu.
Khalsa panth was founded by shree guru gobind singh ji ,who was 10 th guru of sikh religion.the first 5 piare (members) of khalsa panth were hindus who took amrit from gobind singh ji and became first 5 singhs of khalsa.
Harimandir sahib which is top holiest place of sikh religion ,the mean of hari mandir sahib is temple of shree hari (HARI is name of lord vishnu from hinduism)
The amritsar which is holiest city of sikh religion and where harimandir sahib situated, was founded by 4th guru of sikh religion whose name is guru ramdas ji.the mean of ramdas is devotee to shree RAM (RAM ji is god in hindu religion).
The names of several sikh guru relates to hindu god means they were devotees to hindu god.for example
2nd guru angad dev ji means (angad ji was a devotee to shree ram in ramayan)
4th guru shree ramdas ji means devotee to shree ram of hinduisim.
5th guru shree arjan dev ji (arjan was a devotee to shree krishna in mahabharata granth)
6th guru hargobind ji (HAR means shiv and gobind means shree krishna,both relates to hinduism)
7th guru hari rai ji (hari means lord vishnu of hinduism)
8th guru harkishan ji (HAR means lord shiv and kishan means lord krishna in hinduism)
10th guru gobind singh ji (gobind is other name of lord krishna in hinduism)
In guru granth sahib ji ,there are many statements (lines) in which shree ram and shree krishna named clearly mentioned.
unfortunately some sikh don't read their granth and follow some wrong and negative sikhs,as per guru granth sahib ji and guru govinda singh ji ,the holy book must be last guru of sikhs and sikh must not follow and seems to their guru to any other.
The three key pillars of Sikhism are Kirat Karni (honest living), Vand Chakna (sharing with others) and Naam Japna (focus on God).these all already stated in hindu granth GEETA, by lord shree krishna from hinduism.
Guru nanak dev ji never against hinduism, he always against to evils (kuritiyan) of all religions.
In sikhism GOD is onkar ,onkar is punjabi name of sanskrit word omkar means OM which is from hinduism.
During insurgency in punjab from 1980 to 1995 several innocent hindus were killed in buses ,trains and on several places in punjab by some negative militants.militants killed hindus and their oppoters and hide in harimandir sahib.even DIG atwal was killed by them in gurudwara premises and collected huge armory in holy gurudwara. So army took operation.
Hindus always support to sikhs from starting t for example- the family of moti ram mehra was killed by muslims just because they hide mata gujri and sahibjada ji in their house.
Raja todar mal bought world most expensive land in sirhind,where mata gujri and sahibjada ji cremated, and donate this land for sikhism.
In 1984 delhi ,several hindu families were killed by mob because they hide sikhs in their houses.
So true sikh should not get influenced by any wrong people ,read the guru granth sahib ji and history of hinduism and must follow only guru granth sahib ji.and respect to all religions.
