Levanter is such a meaningful song. It was purely by happenstance that it has the meaning it does, with what happened as it was coming out. It is part of the SKZ lore story line. But a few weeks before they were due to release the last Cle album, Woojin left SKZ. So this meant they had to refilm almost the entire MV, as well as re-record all the songs to 8 members. All while dealing with loosing a friend & getting over the feelings of betrayal for his leaving in such a abrupt manner. (I had seen a few really old reactors who had reacted to the Cle: Levanter trailer before Woojin left & the trailers were changed. So I know things had been already filmed. They film MVs around 4 months before release, so this was hard.) Chan has said that the lyrics weren't about Woojin leaving, and I believe that....I just think the emotions we see in this video are their own, so there is so much anger & sadness mixed in this MV.
In the story lore for SKZ story line, Levanter is about letting go of all the things that they had believed were the "key" to their path forwards. We see them burn the one way ticket "To The New World" from Side Effects, and the elevator that has taken them places since Hellevator. Felix's compass is no longer the broken one from Double Knot, but is now a multidimensional one that he uses in limnal space. They have left the Lavender fields, which used to be their paradise, to travel in other places. They have abandoned the keys that they had been collecting. (If you notice, the door that appeared had a keyhole, but they never used a key to open it.) The moons that had been separate since their choices in Side Effects merged into one again. (The moons represented different choices & different paths in life) They had finally realized that all these things which they had thought were needed to take them on their journey were not needed. All that was needed was themselves.
If you want a shortened explanation for the SKZ story line, they put it all in a highlight reel that they released before Gods Menu & Back Door wrapped up the main thing. It's called Stray Kids : Prequel (Highlight Reel) th-cam.com/video/9pFLO3g6CSg/w-d-xo.html
Freeze is so fun. The members get to pretend to be undercover cops trying to infiltrate & capture a gang. But the gang seems to be one step ahead. (Due to I.N being the secret boss of the bad guys) But the meaning of the song is actually kinda based on the Korean version of freeze tag & the feeling of being tired of all the little stops & starts that happen throughout your day. You are constantly being told to stop doing things all the time & it gets tiring. So the song is about destroying the obstacles in your path & picking yourself up & continuing on if you "slip" on the "ice" while doing so. To ignite the fires of passion in your heart & do what makes you happy, no matter that push-back.

Levanter is my favourite Stray Kids song. They also had a new Japanese release this morning called Giant 😊

I'm always on board to listen to Changbin sing AND rap on a song. Love Levanter.❤ And Freeze is just cool (and adorable when Binnie loosens Felix's tie.

The two moons play a pretty significant part in their lore. The lore is interesting but there's a lot and it's confusing. You'd have to watch all their unveiling and teasers in addition to their m/v in order.
Great reaction as always though and really great take away from Levanter!
Edit, what I got from Freeze is overcoming your difficulties and anything in your path. Skz does a lot of "be yourself" "overcome" "you can do it" type stuff.

    A bientôt 😊
