Yes white pumpkins are a thing. lol I love these!
I sold a shit ton of these in 2022’
Wow! That's mind blowing seeing simple things like that selling for so much, makes me feel really confident for my builds : )
Hell yeah ‘ me too brother . Me tooooooi
Mind Blown!🤯
Lmfao 😂 I made those pumpkins out of pallets 3 years ago for my home. Guess I could have been banking 🤣
Lmao 🤣 hell yeah ‘ I was pretty blown away !
Love this series!
Thanks so much ‘ for tuning in and engaging very happy you’re enjoying it ! You’re a rock star 💫
Crazy what people buy
Indeed
This reminds me of a saying my mom used to use - "Some people have more money than they have brains."
🤣
I got a white pumpkin and a green pumpkin for Thanksgiving. They are considerable more expensive than the orange oes though...$15 compared to $7 LOL
Lol 😂
It’s kind of like a painting I saw in DC called white on white. It was literally a square drawn on a piece of paper. But hell I’m with yah. If they are paying I’d be making.
Hell yeah !! Hahaha ‘ white on white ‘ I’ll be damned .
Oh yeah. I used to be on Etsy and it was such a farce as far as the prices. I sold bottle cap jewelry supplies and did well my first year. After that, about 200 people copied me and even stole my pics.
Wow !! That’s crazy ‘ sorry to hear that !! People can be so nasty sometimes
They do have white pumpkins
Hmmmm... I have a butt ton of scraps in the shop. 😂😂😂
Lol 😂
Just saw real white pumpkins in Walmart just before Thanksgiving.
Lol 😂 that’s crazy
If people are willing to pay that much, I wonder if you could make money selling plans?😂
Ca- ching $💰
They don't even sand it before slapping on the stain
Haha 😂
Man you kick ass. I’m thinking about starting up and you’re giving me a lot of inspiration. And I am a fellow heathen. Keep up the good work.
Skål 🫡
I grew up on a small farm and we had light grey squash that look like pumpkins..
lol 😂 never heard of a grey squash for sure
What the hell! Just goes to show you people will buy anything 🤣😂 yes there are white pumpkins my wife bought one this year lol
Indeed ! And I wasn’t sure on the white pumpkin I thought I remember seeing them but figured I’d ask you guys ‘ thanks
White pumpkins exist
I grow white pumpkins called Casperita, but they are more the size of the middle sized pumpkin. Don't taste as woody though.
It's not the fault of the sellers, if people are willing to pay the price then you sell at the market price. Personally, I wouldn't have the balls to price that high for a painted block of wood - but it looks like I've been doing the wrong kind of pumpkin all along.
😂 right ! Hey thanks for tuning in and leaving feedback , you’re a rock star 💫
Yes. White pumpkins are real, as are yellow pumpkins.🤨🧐 I'm in NC.
Wow that’s amazing
wow??????
Wow indeed
Love you post going to have a go at some of them thank you
I used to make rustic candle holder like the 3 4x4's and would sell them all day long for 75 bucks. It blew my mind that people would buy what I saw as scrap wood
That’s so amazing ‘ I mean hey. That’s a good thing in my opinion! Good stuff brother ! Thanks for tuning in and engaging
You said "used to". So my curiosity makes me ask..... why did you stop?
I unfortunately have had too many back surgeries and with that my interest have moved on. Plus burn out, full time job then another 6 to 10 hours a day
In the shop!
@paulbell1522
Sorry to hear that, brother.
Take care of yourself.
Actually $20 for the small pumpkins is a good price cuz they're finished and ready to display. $60 for the large ones is outrageous though...
My thoughts exactly
Wow, I've been there before too, I always thought it was just me, who couldn't understand how extremely simple wooden products, sell for so much if they actually sell at all. It's like, to hell with my fancy shop machinery and my attention to the fine details. just grab some of my old waste pieces and just slop it up and mark it up. if it's selling, I'll be mass building it. Great video, you gave me some great ideas.
I’ve got about 200 hand cut dovetail boxes I have sitting around the shop and I feel the same way ‘!! Like damn ‘ some people really just want simple and expensive 🤪🤦🏻♂️
I think people are just dying to give someone their money. It bodes well for us “know how’s” that there are so many “don’t know how’s” and they are growing.
Hahaha 😝 right !! U hit the nail on the head with that ‘
Your the man Daniel! Keep the content coming. Your really honing your skills on the mic and in the shop! Can’t wait to see what the future holds for you and your journey. 🍻👊🇨🇦
Hey brother man ‘ thanks for such an awesome comment !! That means the world to me bro ! I Appreciate the engagement with the content , you’re an absolute rock star 💫
Since October 1st and until yesterday I’ve been making wooden Christmas trees (a thicker stick for the trunk and thinner sticks for the branches) for way too little money. I made from about 16” to 55” tall including a star. For a standard 32” tree I charged approximately 21,50 dollars. Everything made in the shop took about a day per piece with glue up time. A fun, but tedious project compared to the money.
Thanks for showing us this 👍 that was some wild stuff
Absolutely!! It’s crazy … I mean I will always be competitive with my pricing but definitely been charging way too little myself
@@Bearded-Viking-WoodWorks but now that we know about these crazy prices, we can maybe change our underpaid work a bit 🤣
You ought to undercut the competition and try to sell the items for 5 under
Hmmm that’s interesting 🧐
I made those pumkins for this past Fall season. Did not sell even one set. Offered them for sale at $20, no takers tried $10 and still no sales. I have 20 sets that are going to wait till next year.
Did you try your local markets ?
Facebook market place ,local craft shows, It's hard to get into the really big craft shows in my area, just doing this as a hobby. People are cheap. Will spend twice as much in the stores
What is the black wood for?
Trophy stand or just display stand
The white pumpkin is a real thing
Wow that wild ! I wasn’t sure or not but thanks .
Please stop with the thumb nails. It looks like you have a blowers cramp!
Maybe I do
Thanks for watching jack ass

This is the shit that gives woodworkers a bad rap
Right !
