  • In this tutorial, I will show you how I prep my tumbler, spray paint it, seal it then bling it with flatback rhinestones. I will follow up with how it holds up after my sister-in-law has been using it for a few months. I have included links below for where I purchased my supplies under the bling tumbler category. I used the font called "Honey".

      That is a great question! I don't have the exact amount of time but can say that because I used SS16 for this project instead of SS20, it did take a little more time. I do prefer using SS16, however, so it was worth the extra time. I would guestimate it took about 14-16 hours total. I enjoy working on these types of projects while I sit and watch movies/shows so it feels like I'm being productive while just watching tv 😊. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching and commenting!

      As long as you aren't soaking your cup (which you shouldn't do with a bling tumbler as it can cause stones to come off), it should hold up. This cup is going on almost 2 years old now and it's still holding up great! I hope this helps. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    Hi! Can you seal with mod podge if it’s not the spray?

    • @ABCuteCreations
      @ABCuteCreations  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you're going to use the traditional modge podge, I would suggest that you let it fully cure so it isn't tacky to the touch before going further. I'd also recommend using the matte version and once it's fully cured you can even lightly sand it so that the rhinestones can adhere better as well. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching and commenting!

      I used a fine glitter but it's all personal preference, really. You could use a medium or chunky, but you'd want to make sure that you really got the glitter pressed flat and that you sealed it well with clear spray paint. I hope this helps!

I purchased it in two styles. Do you seal it after you are done.

    • @ABCuteCreations
      @ABCuteCreations  ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question! You do NOT want to seal it once completed as it will lose its luster/sparkle. If, for example, you were to epoxy over the stones, they lose their dimension and it essentially looks like you just used specifically placed glitter. If you adhere your stones with the proper type of glue, don't soak your cup in water, don't drop your cup, etc... your stones should remain intact on your tumbler. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching and commenting!! 😁

      @ABCuteCreations  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can seal it with clear spray paint but it's not necessary. You can also epoxy over the paint but the gems will make the cup heavier as it is and so to keep the weight down, I just stuck with the spray paint. I know this was a late response so hopefully you were able to figure something out for your project! I'd love to see how it turned out if you attempted it!

    • @ABCuteCreations
      @ABCuteCreations  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The mod podge spray paint I used was essentially a clear matte spray paint that I used to seal the spray paint color on the cup as well as provide a matte finish for the stones to be adhered to. The mod podge I used on the bottom of the tumbler was only to apply the glitter and therefore, not required. I hope this helps! Thanks for watching and commenting!

      The lettering I cut out vinyl with my Cricut machine. I then placed it on the cup after I spray painted it and then I was able to bling on top of it. If you didn't want to do a name but wanted to do a saying, you can find a lot of waterproof/vinyl stickers on Etsy, Amazon, etc... and you could bling over those if you don't have access to a cutting machine. Yes, that's another good suggestion. I wanted to make sure the cup was secure and wouldn't fall off the stick, which is why I pushed it in as deep as I did. I've since found a great product to use that's silicone and protects the inside lip of the cup (something similar to this: amzn.to/3VTfJAT in case you're interested). I'm glad you like the cup! Spray paint smells awful there has to be a better option! The smell doesn't just go away! Does it?

    • @ABCuteCreations
      @ABCuteCreations  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Another option would be to use mod podge and add a glitter base in the matching color of the stone you're working with. It would also add sparkle in between the stones. You'd want to make sure that it was fully cured before proceeding with the stones. You can always hand paint as well. The risk you run there is having an uneven coat and working around the lumps and unevenness when blinging the tumbler.
