I attended this Sonu Nigam concert in Delhi last year. There was no dad singing or sponsorship break in the one I went to, so it was just Sonu Nigam for 3 hrs straight. Loved the whole experience!
Having attended a Sonu Nigam concert last year, I was thrilled to experience his live performances . His mesmerizing vocals left me in awe. The energy in the crowd was palpable, with everyone fully immersed in his live singing. Words can't fully capture the magic of his performance it was simply unforgettable, it was an incredible concert that exceeded all expectations.
I attended Sonu's concert here in Adelaide last night. And it was an experience like never before. I feel there's nobody who can sing this good live. What a legend!

I have been to see qutie a few bolywood artisits when they come to the UK, enjoyed Sonu but by far the best has been Sunidhi Chohan. The show she puts on is out of this world. You might want to go the 90's queen revivial show in London in Septemebr features Alka yagnik, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Alsiha Chinai and Anuradha Paudwal

I attended Sonu Ji's concert on 11th May in India ..it was my first concert...... It rained heavily just before the concert was about to start ....I was wet from head to toe ..was shivering..and praying that it doesn't get cancelled...not because of the.. ticket money..but the emotions..he is my idol..... thankfully almost all the 10k people stayed and ..the concert was a blast...I kept singing and dancing throughout the concert ❤❤❤❤ So happy for you two that you got to experience this 🎉🎉🎉

Went to his concert as well. Already knew he was great and his live vocals beat his recordings. It’s also the improvisations he does which embellish the original. Had a ball! He engages the crowds so well. Did he do a tribute to Lata Mangeshkar?
I attended Sonu Nigam's concert last year on Christmas in my hometown. I was so shocked at first to hear that he's performing in my town, since my town is very small. But, on the concert day i was shocked to see the place all crowded (even people from the nearby three stations travelled to attend). I AM SO GLAD IT WAS THE FIRST EVER CONCERT I EVER ATTENDED. Everything about his show was spectacular and unforgettable, from the vocals to the hit tracks. But, that show also had the same problem as the one which you faced; the break before the ballads and that's when the speeches and all began; after it the show toned down a bit but still it was as amazing as always.
I believe EFRA must be feeling MISSION COMPLETE.... & you guyz had a first hand experience of what you love most .. People involvement in live concerts

At the concert in Hamilton, Canada they had that dumb sponsor break too. I guess a lot of these overseas concerts don't make enough money from just ticket sales, so Sonu's Team takes on sponsors to cover the costs. But because of that, the sponsor ad breaks have to be in the middle of the concert, if they do it at the end everyone is going to leave. They're paying for what I'd imagine is a large part of the concert costs so they need to get customers right? Anyways, I hate it, but I see why it needs to be done. This way the ticket costs can be lower for us as the audience.
I attended his concert last year in LA. Although Sonu Nigam gave his 101%, he sang a lot of unfamiliar or not-so-popular songs. Also, him randomly shitting on the audience was funny asf
At the 11:36 mark he said that his backup singer has recently become a dad and he hasn't even seen his kid yet. I was at the Birmingham show the night before London's, Sonu said he had told the guy to go home to be with his family but the guy insisted on finishing the tour first. It's a real shame you guys don't understand Hindi because Sonu is incredibly funny and tells a lot of jokes during his concerts, and even changes lyrics of songs sometimes to add a joke. Also for our concert he arrived a little late so there was no sponsor break, the only time he wasn't singing was for his dad's performance. There was a moment where it seemed some staff asked him something and he said something along the lines of "my show has just started, how could I do that", so I wonder if he was convincing them not to do the sponsor break at our stop? He also played my favourite song of his, Tanhayee from Dil Chahta Hai, so I was quite happy. You should definitely check out the soundtrack to that movie at some point, it's a Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy OST. The movie is partially set in Australia, and incorporates native Australian instruments into some of the songs!

Not making any excuses but I have seen it happens a few times. What must have happened is either a techincal issue may have come up or either Sonu or one of his team members needed the break for something, so they brought the sponsorship forward to that time instead of after the show. It is done so that you don't sit idle or the timing of the concert need not to be extended further.
Saw him live many years ago and his father opened for him, though the audience didn't know who the artist was and made their impatience clear. He was not happy with us 😂 The rest of the show was amazing though! He kept making very corny jokes throughout :)

the sponsorship thing needs to stop in the middle of the show. Its a very Indian thing to do. No other artist would allow it.

You didn't enjoy Sonu Nigam when he was around age 30 , Sunidhi is nowhere near to him at this age or even now.
