I think 30 minutes is just a little bit too tight to solve these things. Those guys were smoking through the puzzles and still couldn't win. It's bordering on unfair.
This is so good I could watch it once every two weeks! This one is a bit special though since I'm a HUGE Psych fan! Would have been legendary if Maggie Lawson and Dulé Hill was on aswell.
I used to watch Psych with my brother all the time. But I knew Tim as Cain from Supernatural. So when I ask my brother who he played on Psych, I was floored when he said Lannister.
The puzzle they didn't get: The pattern goes: 1) triangle pointing down + encircled, 2) pointing right, 3) pointing up + encircled, 4) pointing left. The number of dots around the triangle count up following the fibonacci series (add 2 previous numbers together: 1,1,2,3,5,8,13....). So they're looking for a triangle pointing right, not encircled, with 8 dots around the triangle. Cut yellow.
Everybody is good at different styles of puzzles so it's not that surprising that they didn't know how to solve it. For instance when my friends and I do escape rooms, I'm great at math based puzzles but one of my friends is awesome at word based ones. It's all about how your mind interprets the information you are being given
This was a pretty good escape room. However, without a hint at the last puzzle, I don't think I would've been able to get all the puzzles in this room.
Geek and Sundry..I'd just like to thank you so much for at least getting James and Timothy on your show. I squee'd so much..my neighbors were worried for me. I cannot pass along the excitement enough for this video. This is really great leading up to their reunion movie.
I watched this because of James and Tim, liked the concept and looked up the other episodes. Well, turns out this room was so much harder than all the others! This group was pretty much the only fun one to watch - they were calm, smart, organized (automatically spread out to search for clues or came together in different teams to solve puzzles) - but didn't get their deserved win because there were so many challenging puzzles, especially that last one. Which is especially annoying since most of the other groups were so chaotic and plain exhausting to watch (some were literally running around screaming instead of doing anything productive), they really didn't deserve to win but still managed to succeed because their rooms were so incredibly easy (or just had very few things to do in the same timeframe) compared to this one!
There were a couple patterns. Arrows pointing down, right, up, left, down, "right". Circle around the arrow, no circle, circle, no circle etc. Small circles open, open, solid, solid, open, "open". and then the dots, which I didn't know how the fibinachi sequence worked, I knew they weren't incereasing linearly. That was probably the only thing I would have been useful for though, so if I replaced one of them, we might not have gotten even that far. Timmothy was MVP for sure though. Too bad he didn't just cut a wire randomly. Might have been lucky.
The circle appears each odd number, the triangle twists counterclockwise 90 degrees, the center circle is filled in every other two numbers, and according to the clue - the Fibonacci Sequence, which adds the two numbers before it to get the next number - the next number of dots would be 8, which would make the correct answer the yellow wire.
Solution to the last puzzle: there are 3 main sequences 1. Circled-not circles-circled-not circled...... 2.the triangle turns 90 degrees to the right so it's down-right-up-left-down..... 3. The dots work in fibonacci sequence (search it up if you don't know what this is) so the dots go 1, 1, 1+1=2, 2+1=3, 3+2=5..... So the 6th picture should be a non circled triangle looking at the right with 5+3=8dots so it's the YELLOW
They should cut the YELLOW cord. It’s the only one with a hollow dot, no circle and 8(=3+5) dots outside the triangle. Plus, it’s facing the correct direction.
That fibonacci sequence puzzle was brutal. It was obvious when the clue was given to the viewers at the end, but the clue in the game didn't have "fibonacci sequence" above it. It needed a hint as to how to solve it somewhere. Maybe it did have one and they didn't find it.
It wasn't that hard to solve (you don't actually need Fibonacci, it's a simple repeating pattern), but definitely way too challenging if you're solving it under pressure in only one or two minutes.
This just reminded me of how much I miss Psych, how am I supposed to wait til December for the new special?? (Insert wait for iiiiiit joke here) Also wow I still have a massive crush on Roday
OMG Tim Omundson and James Roday, Shawn and Lassie!!!!!!... Love the show, and love them!!!!!... Now I want the rest of the cast of Psych in one of these, it would be awesome!!!!... I feel like this one was one of the hardest and they did pretty good and they would have probably solve the wire thing if they had a little more time!!... pd: so I was between the black and yellow wire, but still wasnt sure which one but reading the comments now I have learnt that is the yellow one and why!... nice you guys!!
When you call it a Fibonacci puzzle the answer is obviously yellow, but the players don't appear to have been given that clue. Without knowing that it could be either black or yellow.
The last puzzle is just pure evil. Give them 5 minutes to find, solve a Morse code, then open a bunch of boxes and screws, then you throw in the first puzzle in the game that has more red herring than actual hint/clues.
For anyone wondering what the Fibonacci sequence is, it goes like this 1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21 etc... So you basically add the number to the number before that so 1+1=2 2+1=3 3+2=5 And so on.
Im really sure it is yellow. The triangle rotates counter clockwise, the circle toggles, and the dots are the result of the 2nd last + last occourence. I really tried to explain that well.
this is the third one I have seen, and each time the last puzzle they just needed a little more time. Maybe make the last puzzle a little easier. But holy crap, Timothy was the MVP!!
Janet Varney and Timothy Omundson dated in an episode of Psych titled "Murder...Anyone... Anyone... Bueller?" Love the show Psych; my 3rd favorite show only behind, 1st favorite show Burn Notice and my 2nd favorite show Monk. I owned the complete series on DVD to all three shows. USA Network really did some good work there. Wish Psych was still on, oh well I'll just rewatch it again.
I wonder if they dismantle the sets after filming, because they seem really well made. I'm sure many people would love to try one of these rooms. Anyway, this was a great episode. They were so close to victory.
reminiscing about the days where shawn would have solved it in 10 minutes just looking over all the clues Lassie found, and Lassie getting frustrated because Shawn kept beating him to the answer ever so slightly. oh the good ol' days
Timothy Omundson is honestly Lassitor in real life the way he just grabbed those guns. Oh how I miss psych and I'm sad they didn't throw a pineapple into the escape room for no reason.
This room was way harder than the one Felica Day & Co. did. They was robbed! Would also like to see an escape room competition like Crystal maze with todays budgets/sets.
*The Answer to the last puzzle*- *First let's figure out whether there's a circle...* So analysing the patters shows that all even placed figures don't have a circle, while the odds do. -> This means the answer doesn't have a circles as it lies in 6th place. Dang! That one was really tough! Much harder than some of the other ones, but they really charged through a lot of those puzzles. They were so close!
I think 30 minutes is just a little bit too tight to solve these things. Those guys were smoking through the puzzles and still couldn't win. It's bordering on unfair.
Bear in mind, the footage is cut down. They had 30 minutes, but we only see about half of that in the video.
this is so good because it is the exact sort of thing that would happen in Psych
Tim Lees Cant wait for Psych the Movie in Dec!
you cant even comprehend how hyped i was when it was announced
@ 16:37
Timothy : 2 guns
James : flashlight
Jessica : martinis
im not even surprised
Omg I didn't notice! 😂😂😂
Was hallarious
too bad, i really liked this team. they were logical and calm and best of all, hilarious in that dry, droll way
James Roday and Timothy Omundson in the same video!? Alright folks, sing it with me - "I know, you know, that I'm not telling the truth..."
"I know, you know, they just don't have any proof..."
"Embrace the deception, learn how to bend..."
"Your worst inhibitions, tend to psych you out in the end!"

Y'all ❤
I love that Timothy Omundson is a tie-tying master.
James Roday without Dulé Hill ? Come On Son
You Mean Shawn Spencer and his partner Ghee Buttersnaps?
BlackDevilMamba Can't wait for Psych The Movie in Dec!
No Bruton Gaster?!
Amanda Ruck whoa wait what???
Dalton Konneker I know right! Will be 2 hours on USA. No date yet, the announcement said "during the holidays".
it actually looked like they went through it super fast
This is so good I could watch it once every two weeks! This one is a bit special though since I'm a HUGE Psych fan!
Would have been legendary if Maggie Lawson and Dulé Hill was on aswell.
Did you see Psych is doing a Christmas special this year? Now we just have to 'Wait for iiiiiiittttt....' :)
You know that's right!
I may or may not have totally nerded out when I saw Timothy Omundson and James Roday in the same sentence...(okay, totally did).
He said the world was destroyed. Actually they saved the world but died in the destruction of the facility.
Timothy looks a LOT like Rhett from GMM, just without the long, beautiful hair
Thing is, they half-won. They saved the world, but they didn’t get out.
As a gm, "Where's the bar?" is something I hear at least once a day.
That last Fibinachi sequence woulda thrown me. They should be proud of themselves!
I've never clicked on a video so fast. I absolutely love these.
Me too!
Was I the only one waiting for Roday to hold a finger to his temple?
KungFuWombat No you were not. :)
Yes
Nope
I met Tim Omundson at a con! What a nice and respectful gentleman!
I used to watch Psych with my brother all the time. But I knew Tim as Cain from Supernatural. So when I ask my brother who he played on Psych, I was floored when he said Lannister.
Denabella *lassiter
That room was really well thought out, but tough!
Timothy: -"Oooooooh We're off on a secret mission ♪ We got us a secret plan ♪ We goin' escape this locked-down room ♪ As quietly as we can ♪ "
I want a psych episode where Shawn, Gus, Jules, and Lassie do an escape room
omg please never stop making these!!! I enjoy these way too much!!!! 💖💖💖
Guess you could say this escape room...came down to the wire.
The puzzle they didn't get:
The pattern goes: 1) triangle pointing down + encircled, 2) pointing right, 3) pointing up + encircled, 4) pointing left.
The number of dots around the triangle count up following the fibonacci series (add 2 previous numbers together: 1,1,2,3,5,8,13....).
So they're looking for a triangle pointing right, not encircled, with 8 dots around the triangle.
Cut yellow.
You made that more complicated than it has to be, 8 dots is already enough to solve it. The other patterns are not enough for the solution.
They didn't know the puzzle was called fibonacci, so the first bit allows them to reduce the possibilities, making the second part easier to work out.
Yeah, the small circles in the middle are a sequence as well.
That was likely the easiest puzzle in the series yet. I believe they overthought it.
Everybody is good at different styles of puzzles so it's not that surprising that they didn't know how to solve it. For instance when my friends and I do escape rooms, I'm great at math based puzzles but one of my friends is awesome at word based ones. *sees Timothy Omundson and James Roday* TIME TO SMASH THE LIKE BUTTON!
Timothy Omundson is such a handsome dude.
A sexy devil indeed.
DabneyCollins in supernatural he was a demon
And strangely enough on Lucifer he was God.
He wasn't a demon, he was Cain.
Eli! I don't care what people say that show was amazing XD
Geek and Sundry..I'd just like to thank you so much for at least getting James and Timothy on your show. I squee'd so much..my neighbors were worried for me. I cannot pass along the excitement enough for this video. This is really great leading up to their reunion movie.
So, this was before Tim had his stroke, I missed him in the movie. Get well soon!
I'm just waiting for one of these guests to be like "Yeah, I've played the entire Zero Escape Trilogy" and just demolish the escape room. xD
to be fair Timothy Omundson does have a magnificent beard
I watched this because of James and Tim, liked the concept and looked up the other episodes. Well, turns out this room was so much harder than all the others! Seeing her wipe down a disc makes me somewhat nostalgic crazy how long it's been since I've bought physical media or used it (flash drives aside).
I would watch a show with all four of them in it as a spy team they look like they could solve any problem given enough time and be entertaining
Shoulda cut the yellow wire!
Anything else would be wrong ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The number of the little dots right?
Here I was, thinking it was black. I know it's not red or green at least -_-
There were a couple patterns. I yelled at my screen D: I saw it immediately.
James missed his chance to use his psych personality and pretend to be psychic.
Further proof that I'll happily watch anything that has Chobot in it.
Love the crew from Psych, they looked like they functioned well as a team (and that knot was pretty flashy), and had fun.
Darn! Totally saw the pattern for the wires. That wire cut would've been down to the wire if they got it right! Just like a spy movie!
I super believe in you, Tad Cooper!
Roday and Odmundson are so incredibly funny!
I LOVE this show so much. I really want to do an escape room that they had on this show cause its amazing. So much fun
They missed putting in that Timothy Omundson was on Supernatural too...
Which one again I’m drawing a blank, it’s 2 in the morning
The correct answer is yellow because 3+5=8 and the triangle without the circle finishes the pattern.
Part 2 with this team please
Ahh so close! This series is amazing guys! And this is one of the best ones yet.
I'm a simple man, I see Shaun and Lassie, I watch.
Solution to the last puzzle: there are 3 main sequences

They should cut the YELLOW cord. It’s the only one with a hollow dot, no circle and 8(=3+5) dots outside the triangle. Plus, it’s facing the correct direction.
Timothy is so precious in this

Great timing for Timothy, he was just on Lucifer. Fantastic.
that looked like the toughest one I've seen on here so far.
holy crap you got timothy omundsOn AND james roday AAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Can't believe I stumbled across some of my favorite actors! Really looking forward to this (and the Psych movie)!
This just reminded me of how much I miss Psych, how am I supposed to wait til December for the new special?? (Insert wait for iiiiiit joke here) Also wow I still have a massive crush on Roday
vtekmonstah Me too!!!
Amazon prime has it for all your rewatching needs.
16:34 I feel like I've seen this before😂😂😂 Tim IS Lassiter!
wow the helping hand hints are getting....useful, in previous weeks i would have expected it to be " decode the message"
These are always great! Well played.
To be fair, there IS an Illinois city called kay-ro, spelled "Cairo" (it's the one in Huckleberry Finn)
OMG Tim Omundson and James Roday, Shawn and Lassie!!!!!!... Love the show, and love them!!!!!... Now I want the rest of the cast of Psych in one of these, it would be awesome!!!!...

pd: so I was between the black and yellow wire, but still wasnt sure which one but reading the comments now I have learnt that is the yellow one and why!... nice you guys!!
I liked the monitor trick - remove the polarizing filter from the monitor, then give the players polarized glasses.
When you call it a Fibonacci puzzle the answer is obviously yellow, but the players don't appear to have been given that clue. Without knowing that it could be either black or yellow.
Omundson! So glad you got him and his beard on the show!
The last puzzle is just pure evil. Give them 5 minutes to find, solve a Morse code, then open a bunch of boxes and screws, then you throw in the first puzzle in the game that has more red herring than actual hint/clues.
They’ve had 2 supernatural characters that I remember are on here YES
Can't wait for Psych The Movie!!!
timothy omundson is like the loreal poster version of nick offerman
Hahaha, that's such a nice way to put it. Love them both.
For anyone wondering what the Fibonacci sequence is, it goes like this
1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21 etc...
So you basically add the number to the number before that so 1+1=2 2+1=3 3+2=5 And so on.
So wait....what wire was correct? 😅
Nailed the Fibonacci clue as soon as they unscrewed the panel... proud moment
I really hope a second season is greenlight
so excited for the Psych movie!
JAMES RODAY AND TIMOTHY OMUNDSON!!! I've missed you guys so much!:) Can't wait for DECEMBER!!
That Helping Hand straight out giving the solution of the puzzle O_o .
They were really good at this!
SHAAAWWNN!!! LASSSIEEE!!!! SQEEEEE! I'm so psyched for the Psych movieeeee!
Im really sure it is yellow. The triangle rotates counter clockwise, the circle toggles, and the dots are the result of the 2nd last + last occourence.
I really tried to explain that well.
When Timothy said "Cairo" my brain instantly "I've heard it both ways" then break into the song from psych the musical
🍍🍍🍍
this was one of the hardest, impressive
this is the third one I have seen, and each time the last puzzle they just needed a little more time. Maybe make the last puzzle a little easier. But holy crap, Timothy was the MVP!!

OmG, Psych. Still sad that they're not making videos, but honestly best episode because of the people.
Wow. A real all-star cast this time. Thought Jessica Chobot would be the headliner, but no! Two stars from Psych, and one from 30 Rock.
please upload more escape I'm enjoying these a lot and I'm hoping to do escape room myself!
this is a nice room!
yellow wire is the wire to cut so next time it was harder than pip but timothy omundson dang man your good
I wonder if they dismantle the sets after filming, because they seem really well made. I'm sure many people would love to try one of these rooms.
Anyway, this was a great episode. They were so close to victory.
Man I'm so obsessed with this show OMG!!!!!
Cut yellow! Also, what was the extra time puzzle? And technically, they saved the world, they just blew up themselves.
reminiscing about the days where shawn would have solved it in 10 minutes just looking over all the clues Lassie found, and Lassie getting frustrated because Shawn kept beating him to the answer ever so slightly. oh the good ol' days
How can Timothy be such an amazingly attractive person?
man i miss psych!!! the christmas special is lit
hawkeye 2124 have never seen it
hawkeye 2124 Can't wait for Psych the Movie in Dec!
*The Answer to the last puzzle*-
*First let's figure out whether there's a circle...*
So analysing the patters shows that all even placed figures don't have a circle, while the odds do.
-> This means the answer doesn't have a circles as it lies in 6th place. This leaves us with either black or yellow being the solution.
*Now the triangle...*
So the triangles go
~down~ ->
~right~ ->
~up~ ->
~left~ ->
~down~ ->
*~right~*
-> This means we are still current with black and yellow wire!
*Now the centre dot*
It goes this way-
~Empty - Empty - Dark~
~Dark - Empty -~ *~ Empty~*
-> This again means we are on the correct path i.e. black and yellow wire!
*Finally, The small dots...*
They add up every time, so it goes like-
*1* (First)
Then 1+0 = *1* (Second)
Then 1+1= *2* (Third)
Then 2+1= *3* (Fourth)
Then 2+3 = *5* (Fifth)
Then 3+5= *8* (Answer!)
-> Since the yellow pattern has 8 dots, it's the final answer!!
*YELLOW WIRE IS THE ANSWER*
I feel so proud 😊
argh too bad James Roday didn't "PSYCH" the room out! :D
Wenxian Xu Can't wait for Psych the Movie in Dec!
Get well soon, Tim.
I was SCREAMING "yellow wire" for the last 10 seconds
