حضرت عثمان غنی رضی اللہ عنہ کی شہادت کے بعد ان کے جنازے کو تین دن تک دفنایا نہ جا سکا۔ اس کی اہم وجوہات مندرجہ ذیل ہیں: 1. **شہر کی بگڑتی ہوئی صورتحال**: حضرت عثمان رضی اللہ عنہ کی شہادت کے بعد مدینہ منورہ میں امن و امان کی صورتحال بگڑ گئی تھی۔ باغی عناصر نے شہر پر قبضہ کر لیا تھا اور حالات بہت کشیدہ تھے۔ 2. **مناسب تدفین کی جگہ کی تلاش**: باغیوں کی مخالفت کی وجہ سے حضرت عثمان رضی اللہ عنہ کو بقیع قبرستان میں دفن کرنے کی اجازت نہ مل سکی، اس لیے ان کے دفن کرنے کے لیے مناسب جگہ کی تلاش جاری رہی۔ 3. **حفاظت کی کمی**: حضرت عثمان رضی اللہ عنہ کے حمایتی خوفزدہ تھے کہ اگر وہ جنازے کے ساتھ باہر نکلیں گے تو ان پر حملہ ہو سکتا ہے۔ ان وجوہات کی بنا پر حضرت عثمان غنی رضی اللہ عنہ کا جنازہ تین دن تک پڑا رہا اور بعد ازاں رات کے وقت خاموشی سے دفن کیا گیا۔
